Can you exercise during pregnancy? Build muscle? Sure! Exercise will make you feel better and labor easier. So do the exercises -- (correct body dynamics below, watch your temp (in a way you never imagined), drink water and more water throughout and stop just shy of hitting the floor...

Use the ball to cushion impact of weights on lower spine.

With or without weights, crunch up rolling slightly forward on the ball.
