Exercise How-to: Superman Raises

Superman

This exercise strengthens the lower back.

Ready, set, lift!

Lift arms and legs off the ground.

Try to get the tops of your thighs off the ground.

Superman -- Right Leg, Left Arm

Again - form.

Reach high, lift head.

Enjoy the stretch.

Superman - Left Leg, Right Arm

As high as you can, raise left leg and right arm.

Keep your head up and hips square on the floor.

Bad habit: People tend to lean out of or away from the leg that is lifted. The workout comes from having your body squarely centered on the floor. Lift high!
