Your children will love the fun designs and colors created in this project!
Materials:
- Paint in different colors (pastels work best if using for stationary)
- White copy-type paper, not construction paper
- Flat tray or pan
Directions:
- Place a few drops of each color into the bottom of the pan and have children stir the colors slightly to mix. You should be able to see each individual color streaking through each other; they should not mix since that would create a whole other color (possibly brown, gray or black).
- Lay paper flat on top of paints, but do not press it into paints.
- Gently lift paper from paint and lay flat to dry.
Try gently swirling in curves and then in blunt geometric designs. Which do you like best?
