Fruit on a stick, the ideal kids' party fare! Did we say kids? Our mistake! When served with a yogurt dip, fruit kebabs appeal to all ages. Make it part of your Super Bowl finger food buffet, Saturday afternoon barbecue or serve with a breakfast egg casserole.
Just in case you're serving a house full of excited kids, alternate 3/4" cubes of cheese with the fruit. The added protein keeps everyone's blood sugar level and reduces those "bounce-off-the-walls" sugar highs.
Here's how to make it, just in time for your Super Bowl Shindig or your preschooler's birthday bash!
Prep time: 20 minutes | Total time: 20 minutes | Yield: one party's worth
You'll need the following items: wooden skewers, lemon juice and at least four types of fruit such as:
Trim the sharp ends of the sticks with scissors, especially if you're serving children. Peel and chop your fruit into chunks. Sprinkle apples and bananas with lemon juice. Carefully slide a mixture of fruits each skewer.
Serve plain, with a yogurt dip or drizzled with chocolate. Enjoy!
Everything's better with dip! Please share your family's favorites in comments.
