This sweet mango lassi tastes amazing! Lassi, a popular traditional yogurt based drink from India, is sweetened with blended fruit and sugar, or made salty by adding either Indian spices and salt.
On the Indian subcontinent, lassi is used to improve digestion. First trimester moms, try our recipe to curb your nausea. As a plus, it's high in iron and folates which help beat fatigue and prevent anemia! Who couldn't use that boost?
Prep time: 5 minutes | Total time: 5 minutes | Yield: 2 servings
• 1 cup low-fat or fat-free Greek style yogurt
• 1 mango, peeled and chopped
• 1-2 tablespoons molasses (optional)
• 4 ice cubes
• 2 tablespoons milk
Place yogurt, mango, ice cubes, milk and molasses if used in blender. Process until ice is thoroughly blended and your lassi is frothy. Enjoy!
Adjust the amount of yogurt, milk and mango pulp to your taste. I like to top with a sprinkle of cardamom.
