When the news broke that 53-year-old media mogul Simon Cowell was expecting a baby, the world had a hard time believing in his ability to be a father. Regardless, the baby is on the way, and it seems like Cowell is throwing himself into the responsibilities of being a parent, according to The Telegraph.
Lauren Silverman, who is carrying Cowell's child, was allegedly visited by her baby's daddy in Nice, France. This is the first time that the two have seen each other since the news about her pregnancy broke. Silverman is thought to be 12 weeks along in the pregnancy calendar, and it appears that Cowell has finally stepped up to the plate, according to recent comments he made at a premiere.
"Things are changing in my life right now, for the better," Cowell said on the red carpet of "This Is Us." "I'm proud to be a dad."
When Silverman initially announced her pregnancy, Cowell stayed hush on the matter and it seemed that he wanted to keep the situation as private as possible. However, his attitude is apparently changing now that reality is setting in for the couple.
As Silverman prepares for the next part of her pregnancy calendar, she'll want to familiarize herself with some of the symptoms that come with the second and third trimesters. If you also happen to be heading toward this part of the nine-month journey, there are a few things worth noting. First, you're likely going to notice a growing baby bump! This will mean changes to your daily physical activities, but you don't necessarily have to stop exercising. Talk to your doctor about which exercises are best for you and your baby.
Next, don't be surprised if you start to experience instances of heartburn, which are common in women in the second trimester. Finally, now is the time to start looking into the gender of your baby! This is around the time when it's possible to make the determination through tests such as ultrasounds. It's also a good time to begin thinking about hosting a baby shower, finding a hospital for the birth and designing a nursery - all of the fun parts of having a little bundle of joy!
How have you prepared for the second trimester in the past? Do you know how to deal with symptoms such as heartburn efficiently? Leave your feedback in the comments section!
