The Pitfalls and Dangers of Common Vaccines
In the 1980s, the U.S. government decided to change the Mandatory Childhood Vaccine Schedule by intensely increasing the number of vaccines an infant and toddler should receive before the age of three. Back then, no one fully understood the implications of this until autism cases began springing up in large numbers.
Checking Babysitter References: Approaches, Questions, and Answers
Even if you're considering a babysitter who is applying for her first sitting job, you should ask each candidate for references before you turn over your house keys and precious little handfuls.
The Motherhood Club
There are few experiences as dramatic as that of becoming a mother. One moment you're totally in control of your own destiny: the next, you've surrendered yourself to meeting demands of a tiny infant. Read "http://www.pregnancy.org/article/motherhood-club" to learn more.
Which Diapers?
Those landfill diapers that are so easily tossed into the trash are clearly a major ecological issue. But what about the energy, water, and often chlorine involved in laundering cloth diapers? Read "Which Diapers Are Better for the Planet?" to learn more.
Sleeping Arrangements
As hard as it may be to imagine, there exists a rather basic parenting issue that regularly generates even more controversy than circumcision or the disposable-versus-cloth diapers-debate: whether or not to have your child sleep in the same bed as you and your partner. Read "Sleeping Arrangements" to learn more.
Bedtime Routines
Most parents know the basic "5 B's" of bedtime routines: bath, brush teeth, bathroom, books, and bed. To prevent bedtime struggles and delays, it is always helpful to offer choices about these basic steps. Read "Bedtime Routines" to learn more.
The Bliss That Babies Bring
My niece, Chloe, has brought equilibrium in the family. Dad used to be hard-headed that he comes late after work, but when Chloe arrived, he always bring something for her, and arrives at 7 p.m. Family dinner is always a delight. Our house helper would always cook hearty meals. Chloe could now eat what we do and she has her own red plate. No, you cannot take that away from her or else she would show you her sad eyes.
Preventing Torticollis
Since 1994, the "Back to Sleep" national campaign to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death sydrome has dramatically decreased the number of infant deaths from SIDS. However, certain neck positional problems have increased. One of these is torticollis (wry neck). Read "Preventing Torticollis (wry neck)" to learn more.

To Marry or Not to Marry
QUESTION
Dear Mr. Dad,
My girlfriend and I are about to become parents. She wants to get married before the baby is born, but I don’t really see the point. Can’t unmarried parents be just as committed as married ones?Laughing Through the Chaos - Welcome to the Chaos!

BUT! These moments of quiet tranquility could end at any given moment, so I'm going to savor them. I'm going to use nap time for what I believe God intended nap time to be. ME TIME. I need my quiet time - my time to sit back, relax and do something for myself.

Bumbo Baby Sitter
Bumbo Baby Sitter - great investment. Does require supervision!
No assembly required. Easy to clean! It is excellent for young 3 mo. - 4 year olds! My children use it to watch TV. I use it to help feed baby. It helps if you have a high chair and baby wobbles around. Very simple product, but for me it has been a life saver! Great investment!
Cons:
Unless you are on the floor you can't leave the child alone in it. No seat belt or restraint. For that reason I give it a 5.Product Link:Laughing Through the Chaos: Behold the Power of Unsolicited Advice...

A seemingly sweet-looking little old lady (let's just call her Granny Panties) at church just about got a knuckle sandwich this morning, but lucky for her, I was holding my screaming child, who was apparently trying to communicate to the entire church that I hadn't fed her in, oh, a good week or so by the decibel level of her screams.
Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
Convertible car seat by Evenflo - highly rated for ease of use, comfort, and safety!
I wouldn't use this with a newborn since I wouldn't be comfortable with the amount of recline (not that much).
For my newborn, I went with an actual infant seat. But I really like this seat a lot. The harness is easy to do/undo, but hard enough for little hands to have difficulty I think (mine's not old enough or quite strong enough to really try yet).
