Even if you're considering a babysitter who is applying for her first sitting job, you should ask each candidate for references before you turn over your house keys and precious little handfuls.
Today has been a trying day. My baby turned 3 months old yesterday, but is 5 weeks gestationally. He was born at 32 weeks. Parenting a preemie (and first baby) has been a lot more challenging than I anticipated. A little bit after his due date, he started showing signs of colic. The screaming and near constant crying really gets to me. I decided to take the year off from work, which means I am home full-time with this little bundle of "joy". We spend a lot of time walking- every day for about an hour. This helps keep my sanity, get some exercise, and relaxes my baby for a nap.
Too often mothers have preventable problems with breastfeeding. Many hospital routines make it difficult for mothers and babies to breastfeed successfully. When the baby is born prematurely, mothers may have even more difficulty with breastfeeding, and this is unfortunate because premature babies need breastmilk and breastfeeding even more than healthy full term babies.
Hiring a babysitter used to be such a simple process: plan a night out, call the neighborhood girl to come over, pay her a few dollars an hour and enjoy your evening. These days it isn't so easy. Check out these helpful tips!

Hi!I'm 19, 20 in October, I just married a month ago on valentines day and I think I'm pregnant. It was planned so its no surprise. The problem is that our families are in texas and he is stationed in camp pendleton, cali. His contract is up in June and our plans are to move to houston and attend college. Idk how I'm gonna be starting college and possibly giving birth! I'm pretty much an only child and not very familiar with babies but I'm so excited to be a mom and what makes me happier is that he is the dad. We dated for 6 years and married on valentines day of this year.
What you are going through is so painful, and all your reactions, thoughts, and emotions are not crazy, but a natural part of the grief you are feeling over this terrible situation. You share much emotional common ground with other preemie parents whose babies are in critical condition.
