6 week torture begins

Oh boy, here we go! I hit 6 weeks yesterday and here it came. That famous pregnancy nausea. I always feel like I'm getting gypped on this issue because with #1, I had 0 nausea. Not even a hint. I threw up 3 times and that was in the last trimester from eating spicy food with heartburn. I thought morning sickness was a myth propogated by the power of suggestion.

I was wrong! With #2 I threw up 1 time a day for the first 6 months. I barely gained weight at all. BUT, I never felt bad. I never felt nauseous. I would just all of a sudden have an urge to puke, run for the bathroom or nearest bush, lose my breakfast, lunch or dinner, and then feel fine. #3 was a different story again. I threw up 2-3 times a day but only for the frist trimester. That magical week 12 came and took the sickness away. But from week 6 to week 12 I felt HORRIBLE. I didn't just lose my meals, I felt so nauseous I could barely function. Smells, sights, the very thought of food made me miserable. I didn't feel any better after being sick either. Usually throwing up diminishes the nauseous feeling. Not with this pregnancy. I thought if it went on for 6 months I would die. But it stopped.

So here I am with #4. No throwing up yet, but nearly vertiginous nausea. And it's not sight or smell driven. I can still eat. I just don't want to. I feel like I have a severe case of motion sickness all the time. I'm just glad I have the other 3 to remind me that it WILL be TOTALLY WORTH IT! Come on week 12!
