Everyone who's ever wanted to lose weight has probably tried their share of fad diets. Whether it's the pineapple diet, the cabbage soup diet or any number of others, we bet no one has ever tried this one!!
Dubbed 'Keep Fit Deal 15,' artist Wang Jun will spend an entire month on an electronic scale, reports Wired UK. His weight will be permanently displayed on the monitor, and a webcam will live stream his progress online as he interacts with the public. He won't even step off the scale for bathroom breaks. And we thought it was brave of the "Biggest Loser" contestants to get weighed on TV!
Jun told China Hush that his work is "a metaphor of the current inflated era which should lose some weight. In this materialistic age, in the era of pleasure-seeking and greed, all things are inflated infinitely, slowly lose the beautiful and clear origins."
Artistic value aside, Wang Jun makes it clear that he is 15 jin or 16.5 pounds overweight. Given that so many weight loss programs call for accountability in one's weight loss journey, why not hold yourself truly accountable by being about as public as you can get, right?
The Chinese artist began the project on March 18 and will be on display at the Yitel Hotel in Beijing until April 18.
While we naturally advise healthy doctor-approved diet plans, we have to ask what's the craziest diet you've tried? Did it work?
