We begin this week giving credit where credit is due. In the aftermath of the tragedy in Colorado, actor Christian Bale took time to visit the injured at the hospital. In addition, President Obama and Presidential candidate Romney both refrained from gun discussions for several days thereafter. Well done.
Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers continue for the victims, families and community of Aurora, Colorado.
In "The Bachelorette" news, it's finally over! Thank goodness! You must know by now that Emily chose Jef, the very sweet guy with the crazy hair. They are totally in love, he is moving to North Carolina to be with her, get married and become a husband and a stepfather to her little girl.
Now, maybe it's just my own bitterness talking but can a couple matched up in primetime by a network that sent them to exotic locations for several weeks really make it? In the real world, they won't be jumping from a helicopter into the ocean every day.
There will be one who leaves the socks on the floor repeatedly, disagreements over who was supposed to pick up the daughter, aggravation at the way one drives, you name it. But, the tiny bit of me that still sees the possibility of true love wishes them the best!
In "Sadly Bizarre" news, Michael Jackson's children have been removed from his mother's care. Why? The answer depends on who you ask. So much drama and intrigue surrounds this story that if it weren't affecting real life children, it would make a good book or movie.
It seems that the family is divided in two -- one half claiming
everything was fine when Katherine Jackson seemed to disappear this week. That half claimed she was at a spa. The other half claimed they were lied to about where she was and that she was not allowed to leave or call her grandchildren or attorney.
Her grandchildren tweeted their concern repeatedly, especially Paris, who is now on bad terms with her aunt Janet. It is all too sad.
All I know is that I can't imagine this is what Michael would have wanted. At the end of the day, he loved his children and hated the family drama.
The week can't pass without mention of a Kardashian so here's the juicy news. Kris Jenner, the matriarch, got jealous that her constantly ignored husband, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, was playing golf with a woman so she broke her word and got together for lunch with her former lover. This would be the lover she left her husband, deceased attorney, Robert Kardashian for, and it seems like he still has the hots for her. Interesting...
In "Royal" news, Kate Middleton is still not pregnant as far as we know.
Finally, we send a "Rest in Peace" to two of the best actors that many of us grew up watching. First, Sherman Hemsley, who was best known for his role in "The Jeffersons." He is now "moving on up" to the most "deluxe apartment in the sky."
The other "Rest in Peace" goes to Chad Everett, who played the handsome doctor on "Medical Center" for many years.
Have a great week my friends and if there is any celebrity news that you would like us to cover, let me know! We'd love to hear from you!
