The celebrity round-up gives you the weekly news you can't live without -- in a neat little package. Find out what's going on this week!
In sad breaking news, Davy Jones, lead singer of the 1960's band, "The Monkees," passed away Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. The teen heartthrob is now on "The Last Train to Clarksville," and we are among the millions who will remember him fondly.
In happier news, Jennifer Garner beat Jessica Simpson to the delivery room, giving birth to her son, Samuel, on Monday, February 27th in Santa Monica, CA. This is the first son for the couple as he joins big sisters Seraphina, 3 and Violet, 6. We know, what an odd name, "Sam"!
Speaking of Jessica Simpson, she must be especially anxious to deliver her baby as she will be getting a very nice "push" present. Her fiance, Eric Johnson has reportedly spent a whopping $30,000 on custom jewelry.
It seems the former NFL player had initially thought push presents were ridiculous. Well, he has apparently changed his mind, contacting Jessica's favorite jeweler in Capri, Italy and special ordering a collection of platinum bracelets, a matching necklace with a "huge amethyst" and a band that will be engraved with their baby’s birth date. Must be nice!
Jessica isn't the only celebrity mom to receive luxurious push presents. Rachel Zoe's husband gave her a ten-carat diamond ring when their son Skyler was born and Keith Urban gave his wife Nicole Kidman a $73,000 Cartier Trinity ring when she delivered their daughter. Jennifer Lopez might have them all beat. When she delivered their twins, Marc Anthony gave her... wait for it... a $300,000 canary diamond ring. Sets the bar a bit high, doesn't it?
In Suri Cruise news (don't worry, we won't let too much time go between news about her -- or the Kardashians), she's been spotted about town wearing crimson red lipstick. She is now five years old. Even in Hollywood years, that's still a tad young. Apparently, she was also wearing a hot pink hat. It's one thing to let your little girl play dress-up at home, but out and about? Do you think that's right?
In daytime TV news hunks abound! For those hunk-loving "General Hospital" fans, it seems that Dr. Noah Drake, played by hottie Rick Springfield will return this month. Does he ever age? We can swoon later.
To wrap up this week's news, "The Bachelor's" Kacie Boguskie, who was booted off last week, appeared on "Ellen" this week. She confessed that Ben had broken her heart as she was deeply in love with him. This was certainly foreseeable. Who doesn't fall in love after "dating" someone in a group setting after a couple of weeks? Well, better to have loved and lost and all that...
What's your favorite bit of hub-bub brewing this week?
