Celebrity Round-up: All The Celeb News You Can Use

Donna SummersWe begin this week with the sad news of disco queen Donna Summer's death. The music world lost her to cancer on May 17, 2012 at the far too young age of 63.

The five-time Grammy award winner became famous in the 1970s with hits including "Love to Love You Baby," "Last Dance," "I Feel Love," "Bad Girls" and "Hot Stuff." All-in-all, a total of 32 billboard hits.

According to TMZ, following Summer's passing, her family released a statement saying they, "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy."

Hard to segue from the death of a disco queen to what "People finds newsworthy," but can you blame them? Apparently Suri Cruise has a "new BFF." It's a stuffed giraffe! Yep. It seems that she was spotted several times in New York with her mom, Katie Holmes with her new giraffe toy.

This is especially interesting because she had previously been spotted with a purple hippo and a cute panda before but now appears to be in a "major giraffe phase." I wonder if this shouldn't have been a "breaking news" item. I kid, of course.

In "brangelina news," Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited London's National Portrait Gallery this week, sans kids. *Gasp* They viewed the Lucian Freud exhibit before heading out and into a waiting car.

Although they left the kids at home for their museum date, they did recently see a matinee showing of "Billy Elliot the Musical" as a family. Fascinating.

Last Sunday saw the premiere of the second season of "Sister Wives." This Sunday marks the premiere of the seventh – yes seventh – season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Hard to believe shows like "Jericho" and "Law and Order, Criminal Intent" get cancelled but not the Kardashians!

What will we see this season? Lots of "Kimye." Yep, hopefully you heard if here first. "Kimye," as in Kim and Kanye. There will be lots and lots of shots of Kourtney and Kim in bikinis as well as the infamous flour-bombing, not to worry. Truly quality programming at its best.

Be warned! Kris just had her lips done and well, let's just say you can't miss 'em! What's scarier still? E! ordered three seasons for $40 million which makes it the most profitable reality TV deal in history. Sigh, yeah, I know.

In "stranger than fiction news," actor Nick Stahl is missing. Like for reals missing. The Terminator 3 star was reported missing by his wife, Rose Murphy on May 13, and according to TMZ, is thought to have been last seen in L.A.'s skid-row area on May 9. The LAPD's officer Rosario Herrera tells People, "I can confirm that he's missing. And, as of now, he is still missing." The officer said it twice so he is missing, for reals, like I said.

Nick and Rose were married in 2009 and have a two-year-old daughter. In February, Rose reportedly filed court papers asking to limit the amount of time Stahl could spend with their daughter, saying that the couple had been separated since January.

We hope he is found soon, safe and sound.

That's it for this week. We're off to get our kids stuffed giraffes so they can be as cool as Suri, too. We suggest you do the same.
