The celebrity round up gives you the weekly news you can't live without -- in a neat little package. Find out what's going on this week!
We would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the death of Whitney Houston. It's always sad to lose such a great talent, especially when the death is at such a young age. We send our condolences to her friends and family, especially her 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
On a more upbeat note, actress Sarah Michelle Gellar of "The Ringer" is expecting an addition to her family. She made the announcement at a charity event for expectant military wives. Her new addition will be a cat. Fooled you didn't we! We picked between reporting this and the fact that Kate Hudson rode bikes with her kids at the beach and we went with the cat and Sarah Michelle news. You should have heard the back-and-forth in our newsroom.
You may recall that last week we did not report anything about Suri Cruise. You were probably disappointed and we're sorry about that. But this is a new week and we indeed have news about Miss Cruise!
It seems Suri's parents chose to skip the Grammys Sunday night, opting instead for "family time." Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took the kids, Connor and Suri, out to Bouchon Bakery for dinner. What we don't know, however, is whether Suri asked that they buy the restaurant for her, so it may very well be called "Suri Bakery' now. If you plan to visit L.A. in the near future and would like to check it out, we suggest you look it up by both names, just in case.
In our "hey, they're just like us" segment, Heidi Klum took her 4 kids out to lunch in Brentwood (think Beverly Hills but less pretentious). She also took along her two nannies. Wait, you say, only two? That's only three adults to four children (assuming Heidi helped out with the mouth wiping, feeding, etc, you know -- nanny work). Perhaps her split from Seal is making her cut back from four to two nannies. Or maybe they split them up? Two each? In any case, our hearts go out to her.
This week's, "I needed to know that" news concerns the ever-popular "Real Housewives" franchise. Radar Online did some digging and they have reported that of all the "Real Housewives" series, the Beverly Hills ladies have had the most plastic surgery. Top notch journalism to which this writer can only aspire.
Finally, when Chris Brown received numerous accolades at the Grammys last Sunday, there was a lot of criticism aimed at the Grammys and world population due to their apparent amnesia about Chris Brown's physical abuse of singer, Rhianna. It was also shocking the number of tweets from women stating that, "Chris Brown can beat me up anytime." Well, Mr. Brown is attempting to have the last classy word, tweeting:
"HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F**K OFF!"
Way to make us swoon in 40 characters or less.
And the Kardashians are still famous, although we're still not quite sure why. We will continue trying to keep up with them until we find the answer.
What's your favorite bit of celeb hub bub this week?
