I have been so tired as of late but that is a wonderful thing. I remember feeling this tired when I was pregnant with our little Gabriel. I just want to sleep all day so I have been doing my best to get to bed early and take it easy.
Yesterday I had to go to the doctor's appointment by myself. I didn't like the idea because I feared the worse. My husband wasn't able to attend due to a work situation he could not get out of, especially since he is taking the rest of the week off for when I get the stitch in.
Yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We arrived at the surgery center (outpatient procedures only) an hour and a half before the surgery was scheduled.
Well, it has been a week and a half since I got my cerclage and already I am running into frustration with not being able to the things I am used to. The doctor told me no heavy lifting, no strenuous exercise, and no intercourse.
My first appointment since getting the stitch went really fast. The doctor said that stitches looked good and the cervix was firm. I told him how uncomfortable I have been feeling with the stitch after being on my feet for more than 20 minutes.
I want off this roller coaster ride! It seems like my husband and I have been running into more frustration with each other. But at least he has opened up (rather loudly and full of rage) about what has been bothering him lately.
Over the last two days, I have been feeling something odd. I saw my doctor today so I talked to him about this new feeling because it reminds me of the feeling I had when Gabe was delivered.
I have been keeping myself busy and it seems to have kept the emotion at bay. I even managed to hold my new niece for the first time since she was born. She is almost 2 months old now.
I think I have been getting used to the roller coaster ride. But I also feel things settling down on the home front some. My in-laws have been wonderful to help me out and my husband has seemed in a way better mood.
As pathetic as this sounds I do believe that the stool softeners are my new favorite medicine! After being on the pills for a few days, that ache I was feeling has gone away. Hurray! I am so thankful it wasn't anything serious.
