How Can I Get Pregnant? A Tribute to My Hero Angie Wilson
I'm a huge Angie Wilson fan, so I figured I'd do a quick write up.
Angella Wilson first hit the blogosphere in November 2008 with her blog “How Can I Get Pregnant” to document her trying to conceive (TTC) journey. Wilson became popular within the TTC community for her unwillingness to give into infertility. Four years prior, at 32, Wilson, was diagnosed with premature menopause and was told that she would never get pregnant. At 36, she became determined to prove her doctors wrong.
Wilson chose The Pregnancy Miracle by Lisa Olson, a previously obscure infertility book, as her guide to getting pregnant. Wilson followed in the footsteps of Pregnancy Miracle author, Lisa Olson, who was also diagnosed with infertility at an early age and successfully conceived and gave birth to 2 healthy children at 43 years old.
Wilson documented her Pregnancy Miracle journey on her blog and motivated many other women/couples to join her, inspiring many similar “How Can I Get Pregnant” blogs and garnering attention from various media outlets.
In February 2009, Wilson announced to the world that she had successfully gotten pregnant using The Pregnancy Miracle. Shortly after, Wilson retreated from her blog for several months to focus on her health and pregnancy. In this time, she also led a pregnancy workshop, where 22 previously infertile women achieved their pregnancy miracles in less than 16 weeks.
In July 2009, Wilson wrote the quintessential Pregnancy Miracle by Lisa Olson Review, which drastically increased to popularity of the book.
The exact popularity of the How Can I Get Pregnant? blog Is disputed, but most agree that it is one of the leading blogs in the Getting Pregnant/How To Get Pregnant blog genre.
Rumors about a coming How Can I Get Pregnant book circulating throughout the internet have been denied by Wilson.
