Courted by several weight loss product companies, Jessica Simpson, giving birth this spring, has penned a deal with Weight Watchers worth $3 million dollars. If that isn't incentive to lose baby weight, we don't know what is. Well, it could be that she wants to look good for her wedding, which will take place soon after the birth of her baby. While the rest of us might put a picture of our pre-baby selves on the fridge for inspiration, we suspect putting that Weight Watchers contract next to it would certainly help!
Although this kind of a paycheck would be incentive for just about anyone, Jessica's still a mere mortal like the rest of us. Speaking of being mortal, it sounds like Jessica's pregnancy cravings are pretty hard to resist. In fact they are so hard to resist that according to OK! magazine, Jessica's doctors, friends and family have warned her to take it easy on the junk food.
Jessica's junk food of choice includes chips and dip, M&M's, cheeseburgers, and Taco Bell. Appearing on the Rachael Ray show this week, Jessica said,
"This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted. And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."
Recently, the Daily Mall pointed out that it looks like Jessica's fiance, NFL player Eric Johnson, has been putting on the baby weight and "eating for two." Looks like he may end up on the same Weight Watchers plan with Jessica!
A beaming Jessica happily tells all who will listen that, "pregnancy is a friend of mine," and that while she's "bigger than I've ever been," her pregnancy has been an easy one, with no morning sickness. She also likes to tell folks that she's gained the most in her "belly and boob area." Good to know.
Despite our being green with envy over an easy pregnancy and the promise of $3 million dollars for losing weight after her bundle of joy arrives, we wish Jessica and Eric the very best as they await the birth of their little one!
What do you think of Jessica's new endorsement deal? Did/do you have an external incentive for losing your baby weight? Would a large cash incentive help? Sound off and let us know!
