I am soooo tired, but also too uncomfortable to sleep. Prime journaling time, right?
Today Tim and I went baby shopping! It was fun, and very tiring! People were right when they told me to get it all done by 6 months -- wish I would've listened! We were only gone for about 4 hours (and 2 of that was driving time) but I was still exhausted when we got home. Pregnancy has made me a big baby - ironic!
Anyway, we got most of the small stuff on our list, which I am very happy about! I was starting to stress that we didn't have *any*thing, not the big stuff or the little stuff. So today we got:
- A bunch of footed sleepers for the cold weather
- Some swaddle sleep sacks
- A changing pad for the changing table
- Breastfeeding stuff
- Hats and mittens
- Receiving blankets
It's so good to get all that stuff out of the way! I feel good that he'll at least have something to wear if he came soon (which I REALLY hope he doesn't!). I'm going to a LLL meeting on the 8th, and I'm going to ask the leader (who is also my doula and a certified car seat installation technician) which infant car seat she recommends. Right now we're thinking about the Flex Loc from Target, since it was reported to be one of two of the safest infant seats. We'll see what she says and recommends.
Once I talk to her, we'll buy the car seat early next month and one more "big" thing like maybe the swing or pack and play. We lucked out because we had a lot of things (mainly bath and healthcare) that we had bought for Addie that we can definitely use for Baby Boy. And we're mostly caught up on diapers for probably the first month or two. So it's all really coming along! I am feeling a lot better and so much more prepared!
