I've been trying to conceive for two years now. After visits to the fertility clinic for testing, everything seemed fine. Just no luck naturally. I'm 35 years old and I can feel my clock ticking BIG TIME! :)
Anyway, at the beginning of this month, we started our fertility injections and insemination. I have a few friends who have been going through infertility as well, so it was nice to have someone to talk to about what I was going through. Here is my experience within the last few weeks...
Monday March 8, 2010 - March 12 - Fertility injections
Monday March 15th - Ultrasound looks good. Ready to start insemination.
Wednesday March 17, 2010- insemination
I tested on Wednesday March 31 and I'm pregnant! Amazing for my first time. Had a blood test taken. It shows that my numbers are in the 300's. (Sorry, don't know the proper lingo yet) It could mean twins.
I've been experiencing light cramping. My boobs hurt slightly. I called the doctors office yesterday about some pain I'm experiencing on my neck and trap muscles. It hurts when I breathe in and when I am laying down on the wrong side. I've been reading to much online on ectopic pregnancy and was freaking out. She told me that as long as I'm not experiencing bleeding or pain on one particular side of my abdomen it's probably just from sleeping wrong.. I was laying down alot the last couple of days before I found out I was pregnant. I was having some extreme bloating. I guess the fertility treatments will do that to the ovaries.
So, now I wait till my next blood test next wednesday. It's weird. I'm kind of in denial that I'm pregnant. All these years of trying with a negative result. It's a strange feeling to finally see a positive. I hope and pray that everything from here on out goes well.
