Yay! On refferal getting finished !!!! and almost getting to you! You are going to be so busy getting ready to go, having fun picking stuff out for your baby which you will be using soon!
Oh the excitment!
As far as my appointment goes they scheduled one for the end of the month to see the doctor. I still have to sign papers to release my medical history at the old office. I can do it anytime... I think as soon as the new office gets my info, I will be able to schedule my U/S. I hope it's not too long!
I understand your anxiety, how could you NOT be anxious at this point? I wish I could tell you to just relax but... yeah,right...
The only thing that will help you with nerves would be getting packing done and having all the paprework finished up. Which is a process.
Don't worry about not feeding Addie enough! Babies let you know if they are hungry and at six months they are happy and content if they ate enough. They cry out of boredom, but somehow I don't think that will be an issue once you guys get there! :P Everything will fall into place and your baby girl will love you and feel really safe with you!
Before you go to bed, when all the thoughts start coming at you, visualize yourself with Addie in your living room , teaching her to crawl. Or you and her at your favorite baby-store picking out toys and outfits for her... Go into the world of fantasy!
Thanks, Asha. You are so nice! I think I'm going to try what you said - focus on all the good stuff rather than all the scary what-ifs. I just can't believe I'm going to be a MOM and this little life is going to be totally dependant on me. It seems like we spent so much time trying to become parents that I'm a little unprepared now that we are parents!
I hope you hear soon about your U/S!! I can't wait to hear more about your little one! How are you feeling? I just can't imagine how you balance pregnancy hormones and 7 kids - you're Super Mom!!
Second trimester is actually the best part of being pregnant. You can satisfy your cravings with diminished guilt and you are not too big yet.
We have been having blizzard like weather lately so it's kinda grey and depressing out there... on top of it my Dh has been working three 16 hour shifts in a row so I'm ready to rip his head off for accepting all this overtime!!!! I'm sort off coasting on auto-pilot right now... just feeding them, cleaning after and letting them play. I was much more actively playing with them yesterday. Today I am burned out! Just coasting...
Anyway, sorry to go on like that, I should write my own journal if I have so much to say.
I so hope winter ends soon!!!!
I hear ya about wanting winter to end! I am sick of it, too! Don't feel bad about venting here! I am glad to hear what's going on with you too - sometimes it seems like it's all me, me, me. I hope your DH gets off working overtime soon so you can get a break. And PM me anytime if you just want to vent!
aahh I'm soo excited for you!!! I totally giggled when reading your posts, especially about how cute you and your dh were while talking on the phone ~ sooo cute.
ugh. Having delt with INS a lot due to dh being from Ireland, our our two moves (me to there, him to here) I can say they are a total PIA no matter what. I am so glad youy guys were able to go in and get things sorted out.
MARCH!!! It's so close you can nearly touch it, oh hun I am just so beyond thrilled for you. And how sweet of your dh to be so kind & understanding while you had your little "holy crap" moment ~ which btw is so totally normal & I agree, your going to be AN AWSOME MAMA!!
Thank you, Julia! You are so sweet! I just can't believe we have a date set and tickets booked! I feel like I'm rushing forward and standing still at the same time. It makes my stomach lurch (in a good way!)! Aaaah!!!!
wow, oh wow!!! That is going to be here so soon! Let's see, as I remember back to 5 weeks before my son was born----you will have time to vacuum all the floors about 50 times, wash all the clothes in dreft and fold everything meticulously and space all the hangers perfectly in the closet. Oh, let's not leave out that you can arrange the hanging clothes in 2 main categories (long sleeve and short sleeve) and then each category can be sorted into colors (white at the front, then pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, brown, black ). You will have time to practice taking the covers on and off of the swing and the carseat so that when you need to do so in case of a poo-splosion or a backseat puking, you can do so by second nature. Shall I go on??? These last few weeks will go by FAST!
Only five weeks! That's awsome Sandy! Enough time to get completely prepared without panic!
Are there any signs of refferal yet?
Sweet Addie... little does she know, she will be hugging her Mommy and Daddy SO soon...
Elicia, I love your list! I know, there is just sooo much to do! I have about ten different lists on my computer and several more in my head!
Asha, I don't expect the referral packet to be here for another 2 weeks or so. Hopefully this week it will be on its way to the US, then it has to go to my agency, and then it will be sent to us.
