Wow, Sandy!!!!!!!! I thought about you today and wondered if this was the day you would get your referral! Once they send you the information on your daughter what will be the process? Do you rush right over to India to foster her for a month? Do you live nearby the orphanage or in it---what will be your living situation when you get to India? I am just so thrilled for you and your DH!!

I am breathless with all that's going on!! Elicia, I wish I could rush right over to India! We can't afford to go right away, so we'll be waiting 3 months, and then we'll fly over there and foster her for one month before we all fly back here. When we foster her, we make a clean break from the orphanage. Our agency coordinator in India will have a furnished apartment ready for us in a community that is populated mainly by other fostering parents.

We'll be well cared for! I am so excited, I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

You ladies are sooo sweet for sharing in this with me!

We get the referral pictures with the actual child case study (in about 2 weeks). So it'll be her pictures, medical information, birthdate and all that stuff.

CAN'T WAIT!!!! I'm not going to get much done once I get those - I'll be too busy staring at them all day!

Two weeks??? If I'm feeling impatient I can't IMAGINE what your feeling :rofl:

The fostering sounds really neat, what a fun and exciting time that will be for you guys! And how neat that you'll be able to be around other fostering parents - that will probably be really comforting at times.

That sounds like an ideal situation to be in a community of other foster parents. I bet you can network and maybe even keep in contact with some of them! Adriana is going to have such a special story to share with her own children someday about how she was born in India and her Mommy and Daddy came all the way across the world just to be with her.

Now we wait two weeks to see the picture of Adriana.... you will post won't you? It is so soon that in a few days you will start seeing milk with that expiration date....(that's how I judge how soon something will happen) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
