Elicia, you are so sweet to say that! I really hope she will have positive memories of her childhood and adoption experience. I am from India too, so I hope that will help her maintain a sense of identity.
Asha, you're right! I WILL be seeing milk with that expiration date!! That's a great way to think of how soon it is! I wish I could post pictures of her, but unfortunately the agency has rules against that. We can't post pictures of her on the internet BUT... I can post my email address and if you email me, I can email you back her pictures since that's not considered a "public" place. Always a loophole!!
Sandy, don't worry--EVERYBODY FEELS THAT WAY!! The fear of the unknown will send any mommy-to-be into the jitters. That will go away very soon---as in the moment you hold your little girl and she looks up at you with big eyes and smiles. You will instantly know that you hold the power to fix boo-boo's and make her feel better when she is scared and sick. No worries!
Thanks Elicia. It makes me so nervous! DH is so calm and collected, he's the kind of person who says, "We'll just roll with the punches." But I am a leetle more high strung than that. Your words are comforting, though! I guess being given so much time to stew about it is not necessarily a good thing!
Oh thank you!! This time around I really will be happy with any gender. I really wanted girls after 4 boys but now I have them so any healthy baby will do!
Thanks again! And congratulations on your refferalls coming soon. You are right- babies and little kids LOVE "good night moon" I think the predictability of it soothes them and when they get older they can "read" it themselves and be very proud of it.
Sandy I know this is of ZERO help right now but.............HURRY UP, REFERRAL!!!!!!!! I think this calls for some retail therapy. For each day you do not get a referral you need to indulge in buying one baby-related item
Thanks, ladies!! I am seriously about to tear all my hair out!! It helps soooo much to know that other people empathize with me, and are waiting too! I don't think my real life friends are as anxious as you ladies are - thank you for being my support system!!
