Big thanks to everyone! We got the Nautlius today!!! Awesome seat! He fits SOO good in there.. and it is pretty easy to adjust, which i was really stoked on!!!!
I am in a pickle here!
Just found out that my 3 year old's carseat has expired. Great. Bad news is, he is at 33 lbs...and will be 4 in July.He honestly has been gaining SO slowly I can't even GUESS when he might make the booster seat requirements! I am afraid he will shoot up and out and leave us in the dust with a carseat he can't use.
I need help deciding WHICH carseat would work best for our situation?
Thanks in advance!
ETA: I just saw the price on the Britax Marathon. Holy Shoes. Umm.. anything ELSE that might work would be fantasticThat is a little out of my price range.

Same price point but Britax makes a carseat that converts into a booster seat (we have it) which might justify the expense if you know you're going to get more use out of it.
Good luck finding something though.

Thank you. Sorry, but I won't pay the Britax prices. They are outrageous. More expensive does not necessarily mean superior quality. I am not being snotty, I promise. But with 3 kids and being a SAHM, there simply is not room in our budget for a $300 carseat.
I am looking at this: The Graco Nautilus.
Does anyone have any experience with this seat?
I completely understand the 3 kids and a tight budget (I'm in the same boat!). I have read great things about that seat too. If you can do some research you'll see its on par with the Britax if I remember correctly with ratings.

Joee,
We have the Graco My Ride65 and I like it. I can share that in forward facing still using the 5 pt harness it is tilted "back" very slightly vs. straight up. We do have it latched with the tether anchor and lap strap. I just recently turned it around forward facing for our 2.5 year old but did test our 4 yr old in it for sizing just as a future reference point for expected growth.
If you have any other questions let me know. I will share that I do wish that we had not purchased the pink (pictured in the link.) I know (or doubt! LOL) that you'd buy that one for your little one but just in case someone else has a girl and is considering, do keep in mind that it does show dirt easily.
HTH!

LOL! I dunno... It might be worth it to see Everits reaction to a pink flowery carseat LOL! I will prolly end up with the black... best color there is for a carseat hands down!
DUH! Forgot... THANK YOU! I think this may be the one for us... and lucky for me it is in stock at our local Target. I hope there is one on display so I can sit Everit in it!
We bought ours from Target too. I have to share that I hate hate hate many "department store" type displays now. THey have them either up too high or the straps locked with tie downs so you can't test until you get it home. I get that it is likely because of (insert NICE expletive here) people that probably took seats apart...... but sheesh!
Good luck!
