Roxi - Use that as an incentive, even though it is total balls that they discontinued it! I never get why they do things like that - it has happened to me in the past also. We were watching Jurassic Park on Sunday too, although it wasn't the 3D version, just on normal TV lol. That movie reminds me of Christmas. I remember being about 12 and having my cousins over on Christmas Day. We sat and watched it whilst eating pringles haha. Things you remember lol.

Meg - 3rd garage? Your house must be gigantic! I watch Supernanny USA sometimes and the people on that show always have amazing houses. I reckon I could afford something quite decent in the US if I was doing the job I do atm. Here though, the houses are way out of my price range So sucky.

So much is going on here right now.

Bit of background - I became really friendly with 2 parents from DDs school, lets call them L & T. We were getting on great and got together quite a lot over Christmas. L was also friends with a girl we will call A, but she would talk about her behind her back to me and T. This bothered me a lot but I never said anything at first because I felt it was not my business to get involved, I would just change the subject. Anyway, I started to wonder if L could be like that about A, then was she being the same about me with T. I mean, L would bad mouth A and then be at her house during the week for a cup of tea! It twisted my nipples so I confronted L and told her how I felt. Well, her and T took the funnies with me so I disctanced myself. We would all still say hello etc but then over Easter, she fell out with me altogether because I had an opinion on facebook regarding our bus drivers striking (her DH is a bus driver). C'mon, it is an opinion!
Now lets get to the point LOL, A has a son in DDs class and they are always going on about how they are BF&GF - well his bday is in the next week or so and DD has mentioned numerous times how she has been invited. I never received an invite, so I decided to ask A. I was getting all paranoid that DD was being excluded because of L falling out with me! Anyway, it turned out that DD is invited but A hasn't passed out the invites yet. I can't handle things like this - it is like being in high school all over again, but the minute it affects DD and she starts to be excluded I will flip my lid!

Also, (sorry to go on, just need to get all this out there haha) my sister has been having problems with her neighbour, lets call her M Basically, my 7 yr old nephew is a handful but we discovered he has ADHD. He tries his hardest not the get into trouble but sometimes he just can't help it. M has a son in my nephew's class and I am not one to judge parenting, but she wraps him up in cotton wool and he can do no wrong. M has shouted in my nephew's face, called him a "disgusting little boy".... basically taken it too far. Well, on Friday she came out of her house and started yelling at him again so my sister flew over there. They had a bit of a scuffle and M called the police. Turns out her son kicked a ball and hit my nephew in the nose, by accident which caused him to have a nose bleed. Before he got into trouble, her son ran home told her a load of BS and that's when she came out shouting at my nephew.
Long story short (again ha) my sister's DBF was there and said NOTHING to M. Now I have had my suspicions of them having an affair. I have seen the way they look at each other and also, I dropped my niece home from a funeral one day and her Dad wasn't home. I went to the neighbours house as she was looking after DD for me and she said "he's prob at M's - he goes there a lot" which made me wonder. My mum bumped into someone when she was shopping who without my Mum mentioning M's name, claimed what I have been suspecting to be true! So, my Mum spoke to my sisters DBF and told him she knew and that he was to get over to M's and tell her to drawn a line, or else.

I've been told not to say a word, which I wouldn't anyway as we're all going on holiday together in just over 3 weeks! Also, with everything going on, my sister would do something stupid - so, we need to figure out when to tell her! It is reeeeeeally stressing me out that she doesn't know!!!

    Arrgh sorry to rant.

After seeing the houses with dirt floors and plastic walls while in Nicaragua I realized we are pretty spoiled with our houses.

Kristi...you do have a lot going on. Those are both tough situations. That's frustrating that who you thought was a friend, turns out she isn't. That's terrible how your sister's neighbor treats your nephew. How sad. There probably really is never a "good" time to tell your sister of the suspicions but she does need to be told.

I spent the day laying on the couch with a migraine. I woke up with it, took a Percocet and tried to rest until it went away. It was still there at lunch so I took 4 ibuprofen and ate something and laid back down. Around 2pm I woke up and showered and now feel a bit better. I hate these headaches. I get them everytime I take a break from my BCP. I was told to shorten my breaks so I'm only breaking for 2 days and still get them. At least it's only once every 6-8 weeks.

Meg: so sorry to hear about your migraine. Has it gone away yet?

    I need a vent:
Yesterday I got into a verbal altercation with an owner at the dog park yesterday We have this small dog run a few blocks away from our apartment that I take my dog to every day. She isn't very interested in other dogs, only chasing her ball. She can get a little snippy if another dog tries to take the ball directly from her, but she won't confront anyone if they get to the ball first. So yesterday a bunch of bigger dogs arrived around the same time after we'd been there for about 20 min already. I knew a couple of the dogs by sight so I didn't think anything of it. The bigger dogs were sprinting around the park, tumbling each other. I didn't see exactly what happened but suddenly there was a ruckus and my dog was in an altercation with a dog about 3 times her size. She got herself under one of the park benches but the other dog was still going after her. I was right next to them as this was happening and the other owner was about 7 meters away, so I reached down to grab the other dog's collar and its owner started yelling at me to not lift my hand at his dog!! I wasn't trying to hit the dog or do anything bad to it, I just wanted to get it off my dog before it ripped my dogs throat out!

    That's reasonable, right?

Anyways, I realised that my dog is fine as long as she has room to play with her ball and not get tumbled by the other dogs, so I will leave the small parks when the big dogs come round.

So anyways, what is everyone up to this weekend?

Roxi...sorry about the confrontation. I don't think you did anything out of hand. I think you acted very appropriately. You have the right to defend your own dog when it's in a situation where it can't defend itself. Sounds like the owner of the other dog wanted to place blame when him and his dog were to blame. Hopefully you can prevent another situation like that by leaving the dog park early before the big dogs come.

We have our piano/violin recital tomorrow. I made cake batter rice krispie bars for the reception afterwards. I honestly can't taste much of a difference between them and regular rice krispie bars. I am doing a trial run on Sharpie tie-dyed Mickey Mouse shirts. I'm making them for our cruise so we can be the dorky family wearing matching shirts. I figure we'll wear them when we board the ship. It FINALLY feels like spring here. It is so nice to be able to open the windows and let in fresh air. We are going to grill for dinner. On Sunday we are going to rip out our bedroom carpet so we can get it on the curb for junk days. We'll paint our bedroom on Wednesday and Thursday when DH is off work and get new carpet on Friday. Then hopefully I can get my bedroom, bathroom and house put back together. You wouldn't think remodeling a bathroom would take up your whole house but I have boxes of stuff everywhere.

    GREAT NEWS!!!

I GOT CAUGHT UP IN ENGLISH CLASS! I missed a couple assignments (it was too late to turn them in)... But I am now up-to-date. Got all my assignments in on time today for this week. I'm feeling good about myself.

Now I need to get my media teacher to send me the missing assignments like he said he would and take those quizzes.

I have to turn in one assignment in my management class that is late and then I have some h/w due this Sunday.

    I'm getting there though

Well done, Maddie!!! I'm still slogging away at my studies. Only 4 weeks to the first one and 6 weeks till I'm done for this semester, so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.

Roxi - the owner of that dog was so out of order IMO! Of course you're going to reef the big dog away of its attacking your dog. Dog owners (some not all) annoy me so much. I went grocery shopping the other day and some dumb *** had tied their massive husky right at the entrance! DD was too scared to walk by it, as was I for that matter. There is a long rail that goes beneath the store window to tie dogs up, but no, right at the damn door. I was so mad.

Also, when we take DD to the beach there is always someone with a huge dog off the leash. Fair enough they need to be able to run around, but when it tries jumping on my kid I'm gonna hoof the damn thing grrrr.

Yeah but at least I have almost a week between each exam so I get to do major cramming.

I saw the funniest thing tonight: I saw a lady taking her Bunny rabbit for a walk!! (Well, technically it was hopping) it had a harness and was on a leash! The crazy things you see in NYC!
