    Sorry I've been MIA.

The weather has been crazy hot here also, so we've been taking advantage with BBQs and lots of camping!

Today, I'm not feeling too great - my fingers ache, my arms have no energy in them and I have pains in my legs. I'm going to see the Doctor after work because I am convinced I have diabetes. These symptoms have been ongoing for a while and I don't know, I guess someone planted the seed with me so better to be safe than sorry.

Kristi...how did your appt go? Hope you are feeling better and you got some answers.

Maddie...are you getting any rain with your storms? It's super hot here and we haven't had any rain in a long time. I complained about it raining constantly at the beginning of the summer and now we are kind of in the start of a drought.

Meg- We have been getting some rain. We got about an inch and a half a couple nights ago which was really good. We were in a drought before and had a fire ban on so it's really really good for us to get some rain. It's super unfortunately though... the pre-school my son when to got hit by lightening and caught fire

Maddz - I am jealous, I LOVE thunderstorms! Ok, so fires aren't good but torrential rain and thunder and lightning is my cup of tea haha.

I'm just waiting on an appt to have my bloods done which will probably be next week sometime. I know it sounds daft, but I hope they find something so that I know what is causing my body to feel like it's breaking down!

Remember I told you gals about my friend being diagnosed with cervical cancer? Well, she found out it's stage 3 - that's one away from really bad and they STILL haven't started any treatment. The actual diagnosis was 7 WEEKS AGO!!! We are all so so MAD!.

Kristi...I understand wanting something to be wrong just to have an answer. That's sad about your friend with the cancer. I hope they start treatments soon.

Maddie...how scary about your son's preschool getting hit by lightning and catching on fire.

On Wednesday DH and I are going to do my "31 miles for 31 years" bicycle ride. I started it last year doing 30 miles for 30 years since I had gotten a really nice, new bike. I'm going to make it an annual tradition. Looks like the weather should be nice with good temps. It really cooled down a lot this weekend. We had a little bday celebration for my younger sister and I at the lake. She was born the same day as me, four years earlier. Tomorrow part of our new bedroom set comes tomorrow. Later in the week the bed will come, then we'll have it all.

Meg, that is so cool that you and your sister have the same Bday. My brother and I are 10 days apart but I was born 4 yrs earlier. But the same day lol. That's just cool IMO

What kind of bedroom furniture did you get? Wanna show us pretty pix?

It's a solid oak set. I really don't know how to describe it. We got the bed, 2 tall nightstands, a chest of drawers, a dresser with a mirror and a cedar chest. We are still waiting on the bed. Since it's Amish made and made in Indiana the store drives down there to pick up items so it just depends on when it's done. We got our cedar chest but they forgot to put the molding on so they took that back to have that put on. A year later maybe we'll have all the pieces. Once we get it all I'll post a pic.

My girls only have 3 days of summer vacation left. They start school on Thursday. I'm happy for them to start a new year of school but sad to give up the freedom and we know we can't spend much more time at the lake this year.

It's very coincidental you asked about my bedroom set today. We got a call that they'll be delivering the rest of it this afternoon. I'll post pics once it's set up and I have the bed made.

Well...the furniture store came and dropped off the cedar chest but we still have no bed. The sales lady was supposed to call us when they left the store earlier today to let us know that the bed was made with a darker stain than we ordered. Also on the one they showed us there was no dental molding on the footboard. I am beyond frustrated. I had stripped the bed and washed the sheets and had everything ready for them. Last minute I threw all my underwear and bras in the closet because they are supposed to put new hardwear on the dresser and they didn't have that. Thankfully we hadn't taken the mattress and boxspring out of our room. We are wanting to order a kitchen table for the kitchen when we redo it so DH is going to try to see if we can get a discount for all of the inconvience. If it wasn't that the end product is beautiful, I wouldn't go back to this place. This is their 6th trip to our house. Thank God we aren't paying delivery fees.
