Thanks for the warm welcome. I got caught up on the chat.

Roxi...sorry to hear about DH's condition. I'm sure it's hard at times to be patient with him, because like you said, there isn't a "physical" reminder of his disease. I could't imagine living with a constant migraine type headache. I get frequent headaches, but having them constantly would be horrible.

Maddie....sounds like a fun bday present. I have a DSLR that I really don't know how to use. I bought a book and was going to work on learning it last summer, but still haven't gotten around to it. I'm not a huge picture taker anymore though. When my girls were younger, I'd take more pics.

Kristi...did you and DH resolve your arguement? I hate arguing with DH because he doesn't get over it. He'll give me the silent treatment for a few days. I can suck it up and get it over after a while. We got in a stupid arguement last night. We are remodeling our bathroom and it has been very stressful. This is week 14 of the contractor working on the bathroom and we are getting tired of him not showing up. He hasn't been here for a week. They tiled and grouted the floor last week and the grout didn't turn out. The color is a lot lighter and it is really splotchy. I asked him what something was in the grout and he got mad saying he didn't know what I wanted him to do about it to fix it. I didn't ask him to do anything about it, all I wanted to know is what it was.

Kuddos to all of you going to school. I really hated school. I did enough to get by in highschool and got my Associate's degree in nursing and that's it. I am now a SAHM. My sister is one of those that loves school and is going to go back to get her Master's in nursing sometime.

Congrats to all of those that have gotten BFPs. DH and I are done TTC. We made the decision 3 years ago to be done. I am at peace that I will never have any bio children. DH's first wife passed away very suddenly and left him with 3 daughters. After we got married 5 1/2 years ago, I adopted them. They are now 10, 11 and almost 13.

We are going on a Disney cruise at the end of May. It was our Christmas present to the girls and I think they are at a really good age for it. I haven't let myself get too excited about it yet as it is still a ways away.

I have a doctor's appt later this afternoon. I just want a good physical and bloodwork done. I've never had a thorough physical, except for PAPs, and my last bloodwork was over 2 years ago. I've also had shoulder pain since December and my joints hurt. I'm sure my joint pain is from my premature ovarian failure. DH could do all the workup since he is a physician but he thinks it's a good idea for me to get a non-biased opinion. Plus, sometimes when my DH tells me something about my health, I don't believe him even though I ask him for his opinion. I think it's because he's my husband, not my doctor. I'm the type of person that thinks something is wrong and needs to proof to tell me there isn't.

I totally HATE school. The only reason I think I'm still going is because I don't want to pay the loans back. I like to learn but I hate school and how teachers run things.

I'm sorry that you weren't able to have a bio child. It's good that you have 3 children though, I'm sure they love you!

OoO A DISNEY CRUISE! Can I come? that sounds like so much fun! We will be going to Disney Land in Summer of 2014 (A long time from now) and Riley is super excited. He'll be 6 by then. And if everything goes correct I'll have another LO that will be around 6 months or so.

I hope everything goes well at your appointment and that you'll be healthy as.. um.. I don't know what they say there... But that you'll be super healthy. It's probably nice that your DH is a Dr. though right? In case there is something that isn't huge that comes up but maybe over the weekend or something. I think it is probably a good idea to see someone else. Just for ethical reasons even.

MY CAT IS DRIVING ME NUTS. She loves to sit right in front of the screen and I can't see anything. I try to make her lie down so I can see better and she gets all pissy but doesn't even leave.

My first 2 years of nursing school I did really bad. That was back when I was stupid and was living with my boyfriend. I also worked a full-time job so wouldn't study and would not go to class a lot of the times. My 3rd and final year of nursing school I got a little smarter, left my boyfriend, and moved back in with my parents. I was able to really focus on my last year. I just wish I would've done that my first 2 years. I stretched out a 2 year program into 3 years because I did not do well with a lot of classes.

It is nice to have a doctor as a hubby. He'll treat minor stuff in our family, life if any of us needs an antibiotic or something. Also, it's nice just in case anyone needs sutures. He's sutured and stapled up DD1 a few times. Me seeing someone else gets everything done put into my medical records and it gives a fresh look at things.

Sorry your cat is being so annoying. We have a cat and she is pretty independent. She really doesn't like to be petted. She'll jump up on the couch and you might be able to get a "pet" in and then she'll jump down. Most of the day she is upstairs sleeping and when the girls get home from school she is awake. Upstairs is the only place where she'll be really friendly and purr. The girls sleep upstairs and she really likes the girls so that is where she spends most of her time. She doesn't like new people and someone made the point that maybe she doesn't like coming on the main level of the house because that is where we have company. She feels safe upstairs...it makes sense.

I don't think it's ever too early to plan a family vacation. It takes quite a bit of planning. We booked our cruise last summer. We did Disney World a few years ago and the girls really enjoyed it. I've heard Disney cruises are a lot of fun. They are quite a bit more expensive than other cruises I think, but Disney really caters to their customers so I think it's worth it.

I am so done after this. In South Africa it would be considered a full Bachelor degree even though it is only takes 3 years full time to complete. Here it will probably only be an Associates degree, which is frustrating. I've been studying while working full time since July 2006! I am SO over it. No ways I'm going back to do my Masters.

I'm sorry to hear that you cannot have bio children I admire you for coming to terms with it tho. I can't imagine how difficult that must've been.

I so want to go on a cruise! DH has been but not me, but he doesn't seem too interested in going again. I'd love to go to Disney World (I get that you're not actually going there) to go to the Harry Potter world. But seems a little pointless when I don't go on rollercoasters or anything that is high up

I just got this cat so I'm still getting to know how she is. But she's a pretty big snuggler. She keeps me up at night a lot though because she loves to walk around the bed. I wanted a friendly cat though. it's bad though because I just got her and now I personally can't change her litter or anything because of the pregnancy. And she loves to shove her butt in my face!! UGH. I have to push her around all the time. GRR on her.

Yeah family vacations are hard to plan. it's actually a reunion thing of my husbands family. Just the immediate. His 3 sisters and parents all live in the same area as us and his brother lives about 5 ish hours away. But it'll be fun to get all together and do something fun. Last year when I first met Pat he did a family reunion as a camping trip. I think this trip will be more fun than that

I organised a reunion thing with my dad's side of the family back in 2007. Got on a mission to build our family tree and found out that there was a whole branch of the family living in South Africa that I didn't know about. My grandfather's cousin and descendants. So we tried to get everyone together for a weekend but it ended up only being my dad's side of the family. Was nice to see them tho. With help from a couple other family members we've managed to trace the family back to a common ancestor in 1806. I'm hoping to go further back. I did a bit of work on my mom's dad's side and have traced them back to 1801.

I thought about trying to arrange a family reunion for DH's family. His whole family has been together at the same time only once in the 7 years I've known them and that was at my BIL's wedding. I'd love to have it at the place where we have our lake house. My parents and grandparents each have a lake house there also so there would be plenty of sleeping space for everyone. It'd be fun to just let all the kids run and play and the adults could relax.

I had my doctor's appt. The doc said I was boring and healthy...which is good. As far as the joint pain he had reasons for each of them. My one knee being that is just the way women are built and when I run my kneecap slaps and causes pain. My rt knee is painful because of a ligament attached to the hamstring. My shoulder...he didn't really have a reason for it. He said we could xray or MRI them but there is no point since I'm not planning surgery and even if surgery was warranted I probably wouldn't have it since I'm young. He didn't see any need to do any bloodwork since it was normal 2 years ago. I was kind of hoping for bloodwork for reassurance that everything is normal. I trust that he would've done it if he thought it was necessary. I signed a record release for him to review my labs from then and if he sees he missed anything he'd order it. I could tell he was thinking over different reasons for my symptoms. He didn't think it was rhuemtoid or osteoarthritis. I'm hoping once the weather warms up, the acute pain with get better. Of course, when I was there they didn't hurt. I seem to get joint achiness right before my period and I think that has to do with the drop in estrogen. So it will be interesting to see if I get my period soon. I really like this doc. I know him a bit personally and he's really nice. DH felt that he did everything appropriately.

    Maddie...is your cat a kitten or full-grown?
