Sounds like fun. :) Thanks for starting this!
This week has been a busy one. We had "birthday week" with 3 kids and my dad's birthday crammed into a 6 day period. *whew* We had one big party at my parents' for all -- plus then every child gets their own special day. (Heck, so did my dad!) Funniest prize, however, went to our youngest who truly grasped the fact that she was THE birthday queen for the day. She was soooooo excited (turning 3) and spent the day wearing a perm. grin plastered. I shared with Julie (Jules) that she did not want to go to bed because she didn't want her birthday to end. LOL
Do you have any plans for the weekend? Here I'm not sure if the weather will cooperate but we are supposed to have soccer all day tomorrow. Tonight, we're having "make your own taco/taco salad" night and possibly a movie (or so my teens would like.)
How fun! My youngest will be 3 on Tuesday. She is also very excited about it. For now I am just going to make and have a few presents. Then next month we are taking the family to Disney on Ice and that will be her gift.
I am hoping my weekend plans include resting. I have a slight fever. Not feeling too bad though.
I really want tacos now Missy:)
Our weekend will be spent at the NICU, doing some cleaning around the apartment, hanging out with Sebastian and tonight is movies and pizza.
The hubby is napping right now so I am trying to chat up on the internet. One can only do so much via the phone.
I did put a cute picture (if I can be that mom:) of Sam up on the blog I have of our NICU journey if anyone wants to see him ( link in my siggy)
Adorable picture!!! I am you will be so happy once he is home and in your own arms. Caitlyn being in the NICU for 2 1/2 weeks just about did me in. I can not imagine a long term experience like you are going through.
For anyone interested, I video taped my middle daughter reading today. It is so neat to me that I am the one who got to teach her to read.

thanks.
Yeah I am looking forward to the day he comes home but it will be a while more. They were going to transfer him to a closer hospital but with his PDA being open they want to keep him at the current hospital. Which makes sense being if something happened after they transfered him closer he would have to go back.
Yeah the 3 weeks that Sebastian was in the NICU was rough, this has a been a total different experience but has been rather long and draining already.
that was great
Thanks for sharing it. She did a wonderful job
Bonita, Disney on Ice sounds like fun. It was MANY years ago since we have been. Let me know what you think of the show and whether you feel that it keeps your little one's attention. I didn't realize that we had our dd's so close together. :) That's neat!
I loved seeing Brianna's video of reading! What a wonderful world you have helped open for her to discover! WTG Brianna (and mom!)

Nicky!!!! What a sweet, sweet pic of Sam!! Thank you for sharing! (((((((HUGS))))))))) I must admit that your latest entry brought tears to my eyes. I know you will figure it out but I'm so very sorry that this is your reality for now hon. Being a NICU parent is incredibly hard on a "good" day -- but having to dive back into work while trying to be there for Sam, make time for your family at home... etc. That's a tremendous load for you. Please know you all remain in my thoughts and prayers daily and I hope you know you are welcome to share here too -- ANY time.
"Taco night" was an adventure. The whole "relaxing" idea went out the window, although the kids claim that it was all good. LOL I am appreciating having this chance to unwind a bit now that (almost) everyone is finally settled.
What movie did you end up with Nicky? Ours was delayed 'til tomorrow night as I got tied up taking care of other things.
