Thanks. When I saw him snoozing like that I just melted.
I go back to work on 9/19 and it just has me out if sorts really wondering how to manage everything. I plan on talking to my boss to maybe work out longer lunches or something so I can hop on a bus and go see him.
We watched aliens as the hubby is on an aliens kick at the moment. I really only watched some of it as Sebastian kept waking up and I ended staying in his room rocking him back to sleep
Thank you. Your Sweet.
Aww. I just wish there was something that could work out that you would have more time with your little one. Do they think he will be in the hospital up until his due date? Can you visit in the evenings after work? Thinking of you much.
Does anyone here have a Kindle Fire? If so, is there any way to put a password on it so that my kids can't buy things? I is so easy to buy something without even realizing that is what you are doing.
So far that is what they are saying but it depends. They gave us the leaving on his due date with Sebastian but he left 3 weeks before that. So we will see.
We are trying to figure out a way to go in the evening. When I go back to work I work till 5, except on Mondays I work till 7. thankfully the night I work at 7 I am at home but the 5 I will be downtown so I won't get back home till close to 6. So then dinner, feed Sebastian and go to the U which is a 20-30 minute drive. So it will be around 7-7:30. we will have to figure something out.
Yikes. I know it was hard on DH when he went back to work after Caitlyn was born, but at least he knew I was there with her. Is your DH able to visit the baby some while you are at work?
If we can find a sitter for Sebastian he can go while I am at work
Aww, thank you. When you work with someone every day, it can be hard to see the progress made.
I had a NICU baby but only for 10 days. He was born 8 weeks early and was ok for the most part. He came home on a monitor and was hospitalized for a few days again due to true bradycardias. Finally everything was normalized around 3 months old. It is really super stressful. Hugs for you!! Do you have any idea how long Samuel will have to stay in NICU?
If you can afford it, I think you might be able to take (unpaid) leave or paid if you have accrued time so you can keep visiting Samual and even care for him some after he comes home. He might come home on a monitor and need your extra loving kangaroo care. And I really really believe Kangaroo care works miracles. In any event, I am sorry your sweet baby and you all are going through this. It's so hard to leave your baby there day after day.
