As far as I know the color has no significant meaning other than making it fun. It's "the happiest 5K on the planet" according to Color Run. Each city they go to they pick one charity organization to give part of the money to. Think of all the money it makes $40 x 27000 ppl. On Saturday there were races in 4 different cities.

I had my girls start going through their winter clothes today. I just have them try everything on and pass down or get rid of the clothes that don't fit, rather than just putting them all in their drawers and getting rid of things as the season goes on. It's a long process. I'm going to give some clothes to some friends of my parents. They just got custody of their two granddaughters and would appreciate the clothes. They are the age of our two youngest girls.

That run looked like a blast. It reminded me of a festival they have in India (name escapes me) and they just throw all sorts of colours on you haha.
My DD wants to be a Pumpkin for Halloween lol. I showed her tons of costumes to see if I could change her mind but nope, she still wants the Pumpkin one.
I'm down another 2lbs so that's 6lbs altogetherI'm really happy I'm doing so well because my knees are starting to flag on me!
I'm feeling down in the dumps right now.... I'm not sure if it's the weather, dark mornings and dark nights or what.... I just feel like I've lost all my energy. Gaaaah.

I luurrrrrve to lurk!
Kristi...your daughter will make a cute pumpkin. DD1 wants to be a doctor. That should be easy. We'll get some scrubs from the hospital and give her a surgical mask and cap. More specifically, she can be a surgeon. She is going to an overnight weekend Halloween camp next weekend so we'll have to have it thrown together by then. Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Can you try to get out and get some sunlight during the day? That might help. My mom and sister had seasonal depression when I was younger and they had a light they'd sit in front of every day. SAD is actually quite common. It's starting to get darker earlier here at night and gets light later in the mornings. I find it so hard to drag myself out of bed in the morning when it's still dark. Great job on loosing a couple more pounds!!

Here are some before/after pics of my family room project. We got the wall hangings today. Once the lighting coming through the windows gets better I'll take one of another view.

We painted the brass around the fireplace, it looks so much better.

We also replaced the ceiling fan/light

Looks neat.
How nice that your kids are old enough to help with this. I do not enjoy changing clothes over. It is such a big job. What a blessing that you can give the clothes to someone in need though.
Yay for losing weight!! I have lost some too, but I have such a long way to go it can get discouraging.
Your house looks so nice.

I think my girls enjoyed trying on all their clothes more when they were younger. They had a "fashion show" so it made it more fun for them. I got the oldest and the youngest's clothes switched over. The middle one has way too many clothes because she really stretches things to the limit if they are too small because she doesn't like to hand down the clothes to her younger sister. Of course now it's supposed to be in the 70's next week. I'm sure since I have winter clothes in their drawers.

I can't believe I can't even watch "Family Feud" with my kids. I had it on today after school with DD3 sitting next to me. The question was "what would an old stripper give to a new stripper?" Luckily it wasn't on enough for her to understand. I quickly changed the channel.

That is crazy.
We had a nice weekend. It was DH's fall break so we did things every day. Friday we went to the zoo during the day, and Disney on Ice at nice. Then Saturday we went to a Fall festival. On Sunday after church we went on an overnight trip to Pigeon Forge. We stayed in a hotel that had an indoor pool. The girls loved that. Then Monday we went to window shopping and out to eat at a nice restaurant.
