Bonita...sounds like you had a great weekend!
It's so fun staying at a hotel and the kids always love it. We are going to the Mall of America not this weekend but next. The girls love it because they get to swim and do a little shopping and eat out. We are staying at a waterpark hotel the first night then moving over to the hotel we usually stay at up there the next night. It's just too much money to stay at the waterpark hotel for 2 nights. Plus, I think the girls would get a little tired of it.

There is a waterpark hotel near where we stayed, but it is very expensive. Have fun on your trip!

This weekend I'll only have 2 kids. For some reason things are always so much easier with 2 kids. It just seems easier to go places with them and it's not like I have children that misbehave. Oldest DD is going to a weekend Halloween camp at the day camp they go to in the summer. It will be her first time at camp overnight. My sister's stepdaughter is going also so she won't be by herself. The other two are bummed because they don't get to go but it's good for oldest DD to do something by herself. Since the girls are so close in age they seem to do everything together and are known as "the girls" not as individuals. It's getting better because she's now in middle school and is kind of forced to do things on her own though. There is no school today because of teacher's inservice. Also no school next Friday. Conferences are next Thursday.

My girls are also lumped into "The girls". It is very weird for me when one is missing. The oldest helps a lot with the other two, so it is a lot harder for me when she is missing.

Bonita...how old are your girls?
DD1 had fun at camp. They went to a haunted house. She said she kept her eyes closed the whole time and it was still scary. She had the choice not to go through so I'm proud of her for going. I hate haunted houses. DD2 and DD3 are really close so they do fine when DD1 is gone. It's when either DD2 or 3 is gone that the other doesn't know what to do even if DD1 is home. DD2 made first chair in band. She told us today. I'm pretty proud of her. Honestly, I didn't think she was that good since I never hear her practice. Guess I better give her more credit.

We had a fun weekend in Minneapolis. The girls and DH had a fun time at the waterpark. I sat down there and read my book, sat in the hot tub and went down the lazy river once. I'm not a huge water person. We did some shopping at the MOA but not much. It was too crowded.
I got a call from DD1 school today saying she got hit in the mouth with a volleyball. I was thinking the worst when they called since she bleeds/bruises very easily but she was fine. There is no bruising so that leads me to think she didn't get hit very hard. I was glad the PE teacher called though since we talked to him about her health issues and contact sports at the beginning of the year. When I heard who it was I was expecting to have to take her to the ER for something and was thinking it was a good thing DH was the on-call doc in the ER today. I felt bad because I was kind of rude to him on the phone since I thought he was a political caller. I apologized and was pretty embarrased once I found out who he was. I can't wait for the election to be over because I get so many of them on my cell phone. Most of the time I ignore them but am glad I didn't ignore this one.
We are hosting a fall/Halloween party on Saturday so I'm starting to get a little stressed/anxious about that. We do it every year and it's always fun but it's just getting everything cleaned and making sure I have everything I need. We make chili and chicken noodle soup and the guests bring something to share. I think we'll have about 35-40 ppl here.

I am glad your daughter is ok.
We do not get a lot of attention in the election because our state is not really up for grabs. It is a solid red state.

We get calls all the time. I don't even get up to look at the caller ID on our home phone anymore since anyone important calls our cell phone.
When is everyone's Trick or Treak night? Our's is tomorrow night from 5:30-7:30. DD1 is going to stay home and hand out candy. DH and I set the cut-off age for trick or treating at 7th grade. I'm sure other parents would disagree and say to just let her go but I think it can become obnoxious when you have large groups of middle-schoolers trick or treating. It takes the fun away from the little kids. Plus, if we didn't set an age, then she'd be trick or treating until DD3 is done and that's not fair to DD3.
