    P-Person

I kind of had to stretch it on this one. I had a hard time coming up with a "P" word. I'm a shy person when I meet someone new but give me a little bit and I'll warm up and talk more. I think DH has helped me "come out of my box" and become more vocal about how I feel about things.

    S-Soaked

Our roof must be soaked because water is dripping into DD's room. I'm very frustrated with it. Our roof was replaced 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time we've had aleak, each being in different spots. We shouldn't have to watch for leaks in a 3 year old roof everytime it rains. I wish the contractor would just say enough is enough and turn it into his insurance and redo it. We hired our contractor to do it, but he got busy so he sub-contracted it out to someone who apparantly doesn't know how to roof. I cringe when I see the sub-contractor doing other ppl's roofs. Sorry for the vent.

That's awful. I'm sorry... Did you give them a review online or anything? Maybe warn some people. Hope you get it taken care of soon!

I'll have to look them up on the Better Business Bureau. We live in a small town so hopefully us telling people not to use them is enough. I just googled them and watched a YouTube video and I know the houses and construction they show are not in our area. I've never seen those houses here. Unless he did construction elsewhere before moving here.

I'm still working on the "G". I'm so uncreative so it really have to put lots of thought into words.

    G-Grateful

I'm grateful to be the mother to 3 daughters. Without them I wouldn't have the experience of raising a child. Today my oldest DD turned 13. We put her name in a couple radio station birthday contests and she won an ice cream sundae. She didn't have much competition since there were only 4 names in the drawing for today.

    L- Laugh

I really need to laugh MORE. I am a very SERIOUS person and tend to take a lot of fun out of things/life. Sad to say but it's true.

    H-Heart attack

I'm surprised DD3 didn't have a heart attack when she discovered a bat in her room last night. I know I would have. It was a late night as their spring program was late. DH and I were standing downstairs talking with my mom before she left and I could hear pitter patter of feet and I wondered "what are they still doing up?" DD3 came downstairs and very calmly said "there's a bat in my room." She had seen it and thought it was a bird, then after it flew around and hit the walls a few times discovered it was a bat and hid under her blanket. She pounded on her wall trying to get her sister's attention so she could come tell us there was a bat in her room. She did really good by calmly leaving her room and remembering to shut the door. I told DH she was calm about it. He said she was pretty sweaty and breathing pretty heavily. DH got armored with a heavy coat, gloves and big hat and got the bat under an ice cream bucket and slid something under it and let it go outside. He called the cops to ask how to get it out and they said they could come by and kill it. We felt too bad about killing it. We think it got in when DH and the contractor were up in her attic crawl space to check out the leaky roof. DH went up there again today and bat-proofed it by reinforcing the screen over the vent fans. This is the first time ever we've had to deal with a bat issue. Hopefully it will be the last.
