    Default Halloween - general questions

    Hey ladies!

This is one of my favourite times of year, however I wish I was living in the US right about now!! It's not greatly celebrated here, although we're getting better.

I wondered, do you guy decorate the house inside/out for Halloween? If so, how soon before and how soon after do you take them down?

I want to get into the spirit of it all myself so need some ideas!

    xx

    I love Halloween

I put my Halloween stuff up outside as early in the month of October as I can!!! This year I had most of it up by the 1st

Our decoration efforts even inspired the neighbors who used to not do anything to put up a few things.

I will take everything down as quickly as I can though. I see no point in leaving it up passed the 31st. I always take my outside stuff down first so the neighbors don't have to look at in too long in November. Plus I need to get my Christmas stuff up.

I decorate inside and out. I hang ghosts, ghouls, a banshee, a spooky tree, graveyard, etc. outside. I do the mantle in a spooky motif and have a variety of other creepy beings and things about the main living areas - including a shaking skeleton head that sticks out of a "city morgue" body bag - the kids love that one - and a spider that "crawls" down its web.

Yes, I probably go a little over board but this is my favorite time of year!!! I cannot act like a child most of the time but I can totally get away with it for Halloween!

Do it up and have fun! The only advice I can give is to make sure you enjoy whatever it is you do whether it's a simple pumpkin or a whole graveyard - just have fun with it! Oh, and be organized about your storage so it's easy to get it all out again next year.

    Thanks Christina!!

Would you care to share some pics? Plssssss?! lol.

We went all out last year at my Mum's as we had a party. This year I have nothing, except pumpkins that we will do one night this week.

Nope. No decorating here. We'll sometimes do a jack-o-lantern but that's about it. I'm not really "into" the holiday. I could totally do without actually... but the kids enjoy dressing up and trick or treating so we do that part But then again, the only decorating I do for Christmas is a tree... so I guess I'm not really a decorator LOL I like the look of a home decorated for Christmas but can't be bothered making the effort

Sure - I have some pics taken but I'll get some posted later this week.

We have our Halloween party for the neighbor kids this Saturday (we have like 15 kids on our cul-de-sac) but I'll try to get you some snaps before then.
