    Default HELP PLEASE. Need feedback

Okay, so recently my boyfriend and i have had unprotected sex. By recently i mean like a few weeks ago, and maybe even a week ago (hard to remember.) Normally we use protection but we didn't a few times and well now i'm late, i was originally suppose to start on June 1st (i track my period, i have been tracking it since 2012) well i never got my period. On May 31st i experienced some spotting and i didn't quite understand why. It's been 8 days and i still haven't gotten my period. But lately i've been feeling cramps, getting headaches, getting slightly dizzy, i've thrown up a few times, always having to pee, and i've gotten suddenly warmer. The thing is i've taking 2 tests and they come back negative. And in my family, theres this thing where tests are negative but blood work is positive. I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but is there any possibility that i might be pregnant.? i've also felt alot more tired than i would normally be.

There is a possibility the home pregnancy tests do have a chance of giving false results. Give a doctor a call, if you already have a doctor this may be a blood test they can call in the orders for without even having to go into the office (ask reeeaaally nicely!), if not Planned Parenthood can draw the blood for it, for a not terribly high price. I wish you luck and that the test comes out the way you are hoping.

As shared above -- certainly false negatives can occur on home pregnancy tests. What type of test did you use? (Just curious!) You could attempt one more with a digital or totally different type than whatever you used previously. (Example - use one that uses pink lines vs. the blue dye.)

It sounds like you already know you may need to go to the doctor to be certain either way. There is the possibility that your period may be late for other reasons (stress, illness, new medication, lack of sleep, etc.) Also - there is the outside chance that you could be experiencing a blighted ovum or 'chemical pregnancy'.

I hope that you get the answer that you desire! Please do come back and update us when you can!

    Wishing you all the best,

I was thinking that if i don't get it by Friday, i will go get a blood test done, although it kind of scares me because i don't think i'm ready for it. But thank you for kindly responding.

Missy, i'm already 9 days late & i haven't had anything. & lately i've not been stressed, nor sick, i'm not on any meds and i get more than enough of sleep. I'm most likely going to the doctor on Friday if i still end up with no period. I really appreciate you responding to my post. it just really scares me. :/ My mother seems to think i just may be pregnant. But we're going to have to wait and see when i go to the doctor :/

Hopefully you're able to get an appointment soon. I know that the wait can be dreadful to keep wondering!

Pregnancy can be scary! But it will work out in the end if you are or if you aren't. It is good that you have discussed the possibility with family it is usually better to have support.
