Kalahari in Ohio

Anyone ever been? Was it worth the money?

I'm trying to find a fun place for DH and I to take DD this summer. We have a long weekend coming up at the end of July, so that would be the perfect time to do it. I've been so laid up all summer with morning sickness, and now that it's finally starting to let up I'm feeling the urge to go and do something FUN....we don't have a ton of money, but we do have a modest rainy day fund set aside.

What do you ladies think? Is Kalahari all it's cracked up to be? Any other fun family-friendly weekend summer getaway ideas? We live close to Detroit.

I'm close to Detroit too (20 minutes from the border actually) but I haven't been to Kalahari yet. I've heard it's fun but it's very pricey unfortunately.
