Generally eating wild game is safe during pregnancy. There are some precautions (which should be followed even NOT pregnant!) -- primarily make certain that the meat is cooked thoroughly (not eaten rare) and avoid organ meat.
Typically, wild game is considered leaner than beef and some consider it healthier for you.
Enjoy!
Took the words right out of my mouth (fingers?). Wild animals can carry bacteria/parasites that our bodies are prepared to deal with, so thorough cooking is important. However, grazing animals (like moose and deer) are generally safer than other animals (like bear, opossum, or squirrel). Better yet, game is pretty much guaranteed organic--no hormones, chemicals, or industrial feed.
