Pregnancies after an abruption

For anyone that has had an abruption, was anything done in subsequent pregnancies?

Mine was probably caused because my water had been broken for 5 days before labor started. I'm not sure if the period like bleeding I had weeks 6-12 is related too. I had a SCH with my first pregnancy but they didn't see any cause this time.

We are almost ready to TTC again and I'm thinking about what my problems last time mean for this time.

I really have no idea, i'm sorry. I recently phoned my GP to ask about any problems i might have due to my past 4 c-sections in case we were to TTC again. She helped a lot, but assured me that i could speak with an OB at any point if i needed to. Perhaps you could phone and get an appointment with yours? Smile

Thanks. We have just moved so I don't have a doctor here I have a relationship with. Due to some technicality with moving between countries, I have no coverage except for emergencies until September. My birth control pills run out in a month so we will be JLIH for a few months mainly because I don't want all my kids to be born within a week of each other Smile

With mine, I was told it was not recommended to any more children but that is also coupled with two preterm births, cervix issues, bedrest, cerclage, etc.

good luck to you

I was just told of the risk but I'm finding thinking of the premature factor affects when we are thinking of TTC. If complications arose this time, I probably would not TTC again.
