I used to be a regular on here, been a long time since I have visited, but I have a question I need some help with.
I am 45, my youngest is 6 and I *think* I may be pregnant. It has been 31 days since my last period. My breasts are a little more tender than usual, I have heartburn, seem to be using the bathroom more than usual lately and have had clear discharge for about a week (sorry for TMI!) Pg test came back negative. Periods have been a little irregular in the past, but never this irregular, usually a week or so off. Any thoughts?
I have not told my hubby my suspicions yet, don't want to jump the gun. Btw....test was dollar store, maybe need better test? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Oh yes, increased appetite as well......
Hi, all of those things can be signs of your cycle coming, too. And...they can also be signs of ovulation. Basically, all we can really say about symptoms are that they are clues of hormonal changes of some sort. Sometimes we have slightly odd cycles. It's not strange to have irregular cycles or off cycles at any age, even more common as we get a little bit older. I'd give it another week and if no period, recheck with a test. I've never had false negative tests if I tested on time. A cycle can be longer sometimes, meaning you may ovulate a week or so later than normal so you could have tested too soon.
There was a time when every cycle I thought I was pregnant due to very strange cycles and I was only in my late 20s! They eventually worked out and got back to normal. But for about a year it was messed up. It happens sometimes.
If you would like, there are many labs where you can go and get blood work done and it's becoming more affordable. You can even get it done without prescription from your doctor.
The only two times I have ever gone over 30 days I was pregnant.......tonight right after super my stomach felt off and my breasts are a bit more tender tonight. Waiting sucks, lol
I'd get a different test to be sure. If not, call the doctor and have him do a blood test
Buying a different test tomorrow, thanks all.
Any update? We'd love to know how your test turned out!
