Sisterhood of the Traveling Internet Friends PG/LO Chat Part 14

I hope this is ok (if it's not just remove this thread) but since I saw we got to our thousandth thread on part 13 (and I know we are supposed to keep them to that amount) I thought I'd start part 14.

Hope I didn't step on anybody's toes - I didn't mean to and if I did then you can slap me and call me poopy-breath if that helps Wink

Where'd everybody go??

Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend no matter what you're doing.

I'm here. Thanks for starting a new thread.

Not really looking forward to the Easter weekend. Tomorrow I have to go to choir practice while DH goes to a easter thing with the kids. I won't get to go. Sad Then we will hopefully do eggs in the afternoon. Church Sunday morning and then we are BBQing by ourselves. DH's parents aren't doing anything. I miss my family. I wish they didn't live so far away.

I'm here too! I hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend!!! I guess I need to go back to the old thread so I can respond to everyone. But in the meantime, for your enjoyment, here is my little Easter girl (some of you may have already seen these of FB).

Oh Anna - she is adorable!!!

Angela - I'm sorry you're missing your family. I do understand. When I lived in Georgia I was so far from all my family and it was really hard - :bighug:

Hope it was an ok weekend anyway. All our kids had a nice time at my dad's and then at home. They got way to much candy and each got DS games which they were thrilled with (Ok, our 11 month old didn't get a DS game - but in due time, right?)

Hope your week has a good start. It's rainy rainy rainy here!

Hey girls,

Thought I'd drop in and say hello Smile

Easter was eventful here! The sun was shining and the fambo went camping. I didn't bother as had things to do in my new place but Mother decided to take Leia a long. First she forgot her tent, then I got a call at 4am to pick Leia up, then the next day my BIL was in a crash. He's ok thankfully, could've been a lot worse.

Weather has been amazing here and today it's raining..... sooo heavy I love it haha.

xx

Kristi - sorry about the "eventful" Easter - but I'm glad your BIL was ok!

We've had the worst weather here - so rainy and dreadful. The sun finally came out today but with a temp of about 37 Give rose and frost!! Ugh!!

Glad to get this thread rolling again a bit - been a little slow.

Kristi - I'm so sorry about the 'eventful' Easter. Glad BIL is okay. I a little jealous of nice weather. It seems we go 3 weeks with nothing but rain and then 1 day of sun then back to 3 weeks of rain. I live in the wrong state, but moving is NOT an option so I guess I will have to learn to love it. Although after 37 years I don't see that happening any time soon.

Christina - It did turn out okay anyway. We BBQ'd. It rained though so we all stayed inside.

AFM - I did a ton of yard work yesterday. If I could get 2 days in a row the big area I was working on would be done. I hope it clears for this afternoon so I can finish, but I highly doubt it. So I guess I will have to find something to organize inside. Hope everyone has a good day.

Oooo, I'm jealous of your yard work!! Our weather has been so crappy yard work has been next to impossible!!! Right now we have a 50% chance of rain all weekend so we'll see.

I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day no matter what the weather!

We've had nothing but rain here for weeks as well.
Yesterday & today we've had SUN and it's been in the low 60's!! It was so nice to get outside with the kids at work today and enjoy ourselves in the sun. We actually skipped craft today just so we could play outside longer on the playground and in the sand table. ROFL We stayed outside for almost 1 1/2 hours and the kids didn't even want to go inside for lunch.

Speaking of yard work, I can't wait to get outside to finally do it! We've had so much rain that everything is still sort of damp, so I can't really dig out my gardens just yet and take out all the dead weeds/leaves for yard waste pick up. I'm hoping if the weekend stays nice and dry, I might beable to get out there and finally do something. We're working on a backyard project this year and we're going to try to build a wooden gazebo on our patio slab that we have. We have a good space (at least 20 feet long by 14 feet wide) but we're just going to build a 12' X 12' gazebo on it, nothing too big. I'm still working on the blueprints for it and we'll go on Saturday to get an estimate on lumber. I'm so excited to finally get a backyard put together.

Oh Shannon a gazebo sounds wonderful!!! You'll have to post pics when you get it done!

Yeah, the ground has been too wet here to do anything. I can't even use any weed spray because the constant rainy day after rainy day just washes it off. We've had record rainfalls here this year. Of course in the middle of August when we haven't seen rain for weeks and everything is brown I will complain that we don't get enough rain!

We're supposed to have like 3 minutes of sun today - then back to cloudy and rainy. I wish I could be outside for those 3 minutes... ah well, back to work.

Well all our weather pretty much sounds the same. I need it to be nice so we can spray the driveway and an area in the back that has gravel. There is no way I can pull the weeds from it. They said it was suppose to be cloudy this morning here and rain in the afternoon, but I think they lied. Nothing but rain AGAIN.

I saw all the games too fun. Although I'm a little slow with some of them. By the time I want to go post someone has answered. LOL It's fun though.

Well, so much for the SUN I was hoping for. Looks like we're getting more rain - rain until Tuesday is what the forcast is saying.

I guess I'll just have to work inside the house this weekend. I bought new wallpaper to do the stairway, so I guess I could do that on Saturday/Sunday.

Is it normal for you gals to be getting such rubbish weather? We've been so lucky with the sun, it's not normally like this at this time of year so I think something is happening in the O-Zone layer! lol.

Happy Mother's Day

I'm pretty sure April/May for us is the same every year, lots of rain. We just forget or get that cabin fever feeling from being inside all winter and you just want to get outside. We were suppose to get rain all Saturday and Sunday and so far it's been sunny and warm. Yahoo Though it's calling for rain Monday to Wednesday now.

Today, we're suppose to go "window shopping" for backyard stuff today, whenever SO decides to wake his lazy @$$ up. I talked to my dad about the wooden gazebo/yardistry thing that I wanted to make and he doesn't think it's a good idea. He thinks it will be a lot of work and wood is expensive now. He thinks my best bet would just get a steel canopy thing that's already pre-built and set it up on the patio slab and leave it up until late fall and take it down for the winter to store. It's not a bad idea and I found afew that I like and they are much cheaper. With the money we save on just buying one of those, we'll beable to buy the wicker furniture to put under it as well. He did say he'd help me build some garden boxes to put flowers/plants in, so at least the yard will look pretty. I'm hoping to have enough time to get my front yard gardens dug out/cleaned out and ready for some flowers today.

Off to wake up SO!! Wink

Kristi - LOL

Shannon - We have thought about getting one of those. I think we are going to wait until next year though. There are lots of projects inside the house I need done first. Hope you were able to do some yard work.

AFM - We had a bit of "decent" weather (aka it wasn't raining, but was still cloudy and a bit chilly) so DH cut down some trees. He still has about 4 to go. I can't wait until they are gone. I'm hoping to get out and work in the yard tomorrow since it's "suppose" to be nice. We will see.

Hi ladies!

Shannon - I had one of those pre-fab canopy things at my last house and I really loved it. I got it at Lowe's (on clearance at the end of the season). It was definitely a two person job to set it up but we really enjoyed it and so did the kids. I think it would be a good option in lieu of a gazebo.

Angela - we finally got some decent weather too yesterday. It was nice to get the kids outside for a bit and I did a little weed-pulling. Good stuff.

I hope everyone is doing well.

I have this crappy spring cold that's been going around. So far my DD and my DS#2 and I have it. I'm hoping the rest of the crew can avoid it - it sucks!

But I'm hoping for some slightly nicer weather this weekend so that should help boost our spirits!

Hi Lindsay! It's nice to meet you!

You are such a strong woman!!! I look forward to stalking you!!!

My last baby's first b-day is tomorrow - so bitter sweet. He's such a great little guy and I am very very blessed.

Of course we were both up last night coughing - it sucked. I asked my MIL to watch him today so I could work at home for a couple of hours then get some sleep. I'm hoping to go pick him up early this afternoon. This cold is awful!!!!

hey ladies! how is everyone doing......this thread has gotten to be sooooooo quiet....where is everyone?

Not too much new with me - failed my glucose tests, so i have GD, a little overwhelming at first, but now it's totally cool - i feel like i have a much better handle on it. Not surprised to get it, since i don't have much sugar anyways and i can always tell when i've had too much. I also had to have an ultrasound on my thyroid and then i had to have a bioposy to rule out cancer on it, got the results back last week and the sample was bengin. I go back to the speicalist monday so we'll discuss it then.

30wks - i can't believe it!! TreeHuggers room just needs to be 'cleaned up' and org****ed a little bit more and then it'll be ready....

Hi Lindsay -glad to see ya back and sorry to read about your horrible experience with your HSG.....ugh.

Hi Lindsay!! I've been wondering about you and how you are doing. I'm so glad to see you posting again! We've missed you. Sorry things have been so rough for you. :bigarmhug:

Julie, I'm glad the sample was benign. It sucks that the whole pregnancy hasn't been a smooth ride, after everything you've already been through. 30 weeks!!! EEEK! How exciting I can't wait to meet TreeHugger!!!

Hey everyone else! I know you people are lurking here, so hit that 'Reply' and check in with us already!!!! Mary! Where are you?! You can't leave this thread, I forbid it!!
Heather, Toni, Tamika, Erica, Katie, Patience, Angela, Stacey, Shannon, Jessica, Karen, Becki - I am talking to you, and anyone else who hasn't checked in in a while!!! Let's hear about it!!! :brucelee::director:

Christina - yeah we FINALLY got like 3 days in a row of nice weather. I was actually able to go outside and do a bunch of yard work. I was so sore. But the yard is starting to look better.

Lindsay - it's so nice to "see" you. What have you been up to? I know a long time ago you were in a big production. Update update update!!!

Julie - I saw that lurking on your board. I'm so glad it was benign. Sorry you didn't escape GD. I can't believe only 10 weeks left!!! I'm so excited for you.

Anna - How are you? What have you been up to?

AFM - We went to the zoo today for Dakota's birthday. And the highlights were: watching all the animals go potty. ROFL Seriously I'm not sure what the issue was but the boys thought it was hilarious. We also loved the elephants. We got to feed them today. It cost extra, but I LOVE elephants so I definitely thought it was worth it. I'm surprised I didn't cry. LOL We will go for Eli's birthday too since we have a membership. We are going to feed the giraffe's for his day. Should be exciting, but I'm trying to imagine feeding them. Oh and of course we love the turtles which are Eli's mascot. They had little tiny turtles that were too cute. We completely skipped the spiders thankfully because they give me goosebumps. They are creepy. Yesterday we had to leave therapy early for Eli because he had some sort of episode. He was fine one minute and then cold, clammy and sweaty the next. He said he didn't feel right and had no energy. It freaked me out to say the least. Anyway hope everyone's weekend is going good.

And I agree Mary where are you?

Yeah Mary, where are you???

I agree - quit lurking and say hi! We won't bite!! (not hard, anyway)

Angela - is Dakota's b-day 5/21? Mason's is 5/21. We didn't do much because we didn't have the older kids (at the ex's houses) but we're going to do his party this coming weekend. Just family and the neighbors. I'm hoping that the rain will be gone by then. Yes, another full week of rain ahead of us. I feel like Water World!

Julie - I had GD with 2 of my 3 kids. It's a pain but the good thing is that it's temporary. Hope you sail through the last stretch of your pg trouble free - getting closer and closer!!!

Okay, I have been one of those who has kind of abandoned this group. I apologize. It seems that after Kelly came, I got pretty busy and didn't post much anywhere. We are expecting #2 in Sept. Kelly is Mr. Crazy Man. He keeps me busy, and TIRED! I'm having a great time though. I promise to come back here and say hi a little more often!

Kinda funny to see all the "oldies" coming back to say hi. Lots of new ladies on this thread. Hello to you all!

Hi Beth! Congrats on your new LO coming!

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Hope everyong is having a good day. Our weather was crazy last night and we're in for more rain this week. It's been such a weird spring here.

Have my littlest one's 1 yr check up today, should go well. She'll check on his asthma too. We recently started him on daily pulmacort as a preventative. It seems to be helping. I'm hoping he'll grow out of the asthma.

My older two kiddos come back from my ex's house tonight and it's the last week of school for them. They are so excited for summer. We have been able to make enough family and friend arrangements for all the kids for summer so we are only paying for our youngest for day care. Which is good because summer camps are insanely expensive.

Beth!!! So great to see you here! Congrats on #2. We are going to start trying for #2 at the end of the summer.

Angela, Nothing new really going on here. I've been presented some challenges by my graduate school as far as some of thier regulatations about how many hours you can go to school total. . . it's frustrating. Lyla is doing very good. She's an amazingly wonderful baby and just makes my day, everyday. Would you believe that I have never been to a zoo in my whole life? I would love to go to a zoo! I bet the boys had a blast. The whole potty thing sounds like it's right up 'boy alley'. The only thing that could have made it better for them is if the monkeys threw it around! Maybe that'll happen when you back for Eli's birthday.

Christina, DH and I both have asthma in our families, DH has asthma himself. We are worried about Lyla getting it. So far so good, but she's only 7 months old. Hopefully your LO grows out of it before it becomes an issue in school. I still remember how excited we used to get for summer when I was in grade school. I hope the kids have a fantastic summer!!

How is everyone else?

Hi everyone!

I hope you guys don't mind me joining in.

I've never been here on the Anything Topic before the Clear Blue Contest but wow, its pretty fun over here...lol.

A little about me:

My name is Jina and I'm happily married to my hubby and we have a little pooch we just adore. We've been at this baby making business for almost a year and I hope to be successful sooner rather than later.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies better!

Christina, Hiya! I was reading your post about wanting chickens and I had to chuckle a little bit. Not because I think it's weird to want chickens or anything but when my hubby and I moved in to our neighborhood several years ago, he kept saying I hear a rooster. I thought he was crazy and was hearing things. He kept saying "there goes the f*&^2! rooster again", over and over again. I honestly could not hear this "rooster". Fast forward a year or so, we were driving out of the neighborhood and we saw a rooster crossing the street a few blocks over from our house! What?! lol....I just started cracking up and my hubby was like - I knew it!!! I f-ing knew it!! Haha....I mean, I live in the city....we are not suppose to have chickens...or roosters! I haven't seen this rooster since then but my hubby swears he still hears it every now and then!

Jina- Too funny about the rooster!!! Love it! We have an area in our city where they are an artist type community and there are tons of wild chickens and roosters all over. Also, where I went to college, we had chickens roaming the campus. Those suckers can get protective!

I know it will happen for you, Jina! I Really hope your DR and the supplements help. I am quite sure they helped me. That and finally temping vaginally. It is so much more accurate.

As for my boys they are 19, twins are 17 and youngest is 16 months. We have quite the spread! Smile I really enjoy it. Doing this again...and quite a bit older than the first time...is much nicer and I can actually enjoy it. It was funny the first time someone said "congratulations" with DS#4! I was shocked! Just not used to hearing it as a teen mom so totally different now in my late 30's!

Gender- I don't really care though I guess I would say I would love another boy. Just feel like a boy momma (and girls scare me). Though everyone else would love for me to have girl.

Hey Jina, welcome to the ATB!! I hope you get your BFP, can't imagine what it's like trying for so long..... saying that, a year isn't much but when you reeeeally want that baby I'm sure it seems a lifetime! I just know when I get to trying for a 2nd, it won't happen for years.

OMG, I HATE chickens!!!

We have a park where there's a pond and lots of ducks, but there are also chickens and my goodness, when they go for you it doesn't half crap me up LOL!

Christina, that is a big space isn't it! How come you waited so long? I don't suppose it matters really with the age gap. I would just like to 'get it out the way' haha.

Ugh! I just typed out a very long post and I accidentally clicked on the wrong button and I lost it!! Jeez....here I go again!

Christina, that is so funny about chickens roaming the campus. Lol @ chickens being territorial. I haven't been around chickens but I imagine I would get pretty scared if one started chasing me! haha!

Thanks for the encouragement. I thought about temping vaginally and I might do it next cycle. I just hope it's not too much harder than temping orally since I'm having a hard time going back to sleep after taking my temp.

Wow, 4 boys! I bet there's never a dull moment with 4 boys and a 16 month old! I always hear moms of boys saying they are scared of girls! Fear of the unknown I guess? Whatever the gender, I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months!!

Kristi, thanks for the welcome! I know a year isn't a long time but I'm starting to get a little impatient especially with 2 miscarriages already...you know? When are you going to start ttc # 2? I hope when you start trying it happens quickly! Biggrin

Haha....I don't mind ducks so much either. When I lived in Houston, there was a park next to the Galleria and I used to go there to feed ducks!

Gosh, all this talk about chickens is making me kinda hungry....I know it's sick but I want fried chicken now....lol.

I don't know how you ladies who experience miscarriage do it. Like, if it was me I would be terrified to keep trying..... but then I say that with no experience so I guess when you want something so much you gotta keep trying.

I am still hmming and harrring about when to try for #2. Money is tight atm so right now it's a no go. I was hoping to aim for a BFP in Dec so that I could keep my DD out of nursery from Sept next year and save on childcare until she would be due to start school. Then what I saved would go towards childcare for the new baby when I went back to work. You say these things though and they never happen ie saving! So, we shall see. I have baby fever real bad right now though. I can't even imagine how you feel!

Well, for me, I was very scared to try again but my desire to have a family won out. Also, I don't think it's very fair to my husband for me to just give up....you know? He has been very supportive so I think that helped. The ladies on TTCAL were very helpful as well. Now I'm just determined! I WILL not give up! lol

Ugh...baby fever sucks! You are right; there is never a "right" time to have a child. I guess there are a million things I would like to do before starting a family but it would take years to get them done. Even then I’m sure I’ll have another million….I think sometimes you just gotta say the heck with it and just do it! It sounds like you have a plan in mind so I hope time passes quickly for you! December is not too far away!

Anna - You have never been to the zoo? Wow you need to go. Not all zoo's are created equal though. I'd love to take my kids to the San Diego Zoo, but that's a little far since we live in WA. LOL We see what excitement we can find when we go back for Eli's day. We plan on feeding the Giraffe when we do.

:wavehello: Christina, Kristi, and Gina. Nice to "see" you ladies over here.

I have no exciting chicken or rooster stories. We had them as pets, but they eventually became dinner.

I'm excited to cheer ladies on who are TTC. We are completely done.

Jina - I'm so sorry for your losses. I'll be keeping you in my prayers for a healthy, sticky bean soon.

Christina - I always wanted twins. My cousin was the lucky one. Her's are 17 too. The funny thing is I ALWAYS wanted a girl. Then I had one and I can COMPLETELY see why God gave me boys. LOL In some ways they are easier. I do love my little girl though. And boy she is all Girl too.

And for those who don't know me, I'm Angela BTW. I am a SAHM to 3 boys and one girl. Two of my kiddos have special needs. One is mildly autistic, but you would never know unless I told you. And then there is Eli. He was born with a lot of congenital heart defects, has had lots of surgeries, will have to have several more at the least, and he seems to be a medical mystery to all the drs. I talk about him a lot and when I get quiet it's usually because I'm worried about him and tend to isolate myself. My oldest and youngest are completely healthy and typical developing. I'm definitely a pg.org addict so I can never stay away for too incredibly long.

So any exciting plans for anyone this weekend? I am hoping DH is going to get the screendoor in front installed, along with the ceiling fan installed and the shed moved. We will see what he can accomplish. I wish I was handier and more capable of doing something, because I would be doing something for him. Unfortunately I am not.

Oooo yay fresh blood!!!! Uh, sorry, I mean new faces Smile

Welcome all!!!

Christina I watched you get your BFP - congrats!!! I have 5 also (well, 2 of them are step kiddos) and ours are 9, 7, 7, 4, 1.

I'm not a big chicken person myself but I have colleague who has chickens and he brings me eggs once in a while and I LOVE the fresh eggs. Soooo much better than store bought.

Weekedn plans - we are having our 1 year old's b-day party on Sunday. Nothing fancy just family and the neighbors for hotdogs, cake, kids running all over. Fun stuff.

The Memorial Tournament starts Monday so our neighborhood will be cralwing with cars and people for a week. It's a bit crazy but I love our neighborhood so I guess I woulnd't change it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Christina, that is a big space isn't it! How come you waited so long? I don't suppose it matters really with the age gap. I would just like to 'get it out the way' haha.

I had my first 3 when I was very young. I left the bio 'sperm donor' when I was 4 months along with the twins (though I didn't know they were twins yet). I graduated high school 5 months after having the twins and went straight into college. I worked and went to school and took care of my children as a single mom throughout that time.

I met DH in my 2nd year of college, though he was going for different classes as he already had his degree. After graduation I went straight to work full time. So really, it was just that I had my hands full all the time! Never really any break of any kind. Plus, I never had that tick, tock people talk about or baby fever of any kind. I was super busy, super happy and I was done.

Then the twins hit 13 and all the boys were so responsible and independent. We got lot of free time to do and be. It was about that time that I started to feel I bit of baby fever but I just ignored it. 2008 it was roaring. We did get preggo pretty quickly but that ending in m/c. Then 9 months later I got preggo with DS#4. Funny, it took 9 months to get preggo with this pregnancy, too.

Long story, huh!?

Thanks for the encouragement. I thought about temping vaginally and I might do it next cycle. I just hope it's not too much harder than temping orally since I'm having a hard time going back to sleep after taking my temp.

I was afraid it would be harder but it's actually easier. I never had to worry if I had it in the right place or if my temp that morning was accurate, which I had to do almost every morning. I too have an issue going back to sleep after temping.

Yep, love my boys so much. They are just so easy and go with the flow. The drama I hear mothers of girls deal with sacres me. And seeing the way they dress, etc at school when I take my boys  Plus I am such a girly girl I wonder what kind of girl I would raise. My biggest fear is that she would revolve around hair, make-up and clothes and not have that inner self...you know, idolize Paris Hilton or The Kardashians for nothing and think brains were for losers. Yeah...girls scare me. However, if I did have a girl, I would still be as excited as I was having all her brothers.

Angela, hi there, it's nice to "meet" you! Thanks for the prayers, I appreciate it very much. I am sorry to hear about your son's heart. I will keep him in my thoughts and I hope that he will be healthy as can be soon after the surgeries.

On a lighter note - lol @ your lack of exciting chicken or rooster story! Kind of an odd topic, I guess. Biggrin

I hope you guys get some of the house projects done...we have a long list ourselves. I wish I was handier as well....then I can knock out some of the nagging stuff w/o waiting for my hubby to get some free time!

Christina, haha....fresh blood?! Ooh! Have fun with the B-day party...sounds like a lot of fun! I wish our neighborhood had fun tournaments and parties....we all keep to ourselves here.

Christina, wow, I think it's amazing you that you graduated high school and college with 3 kids. A lot of young girls who get pregnant young don't ever manage to even graduate high school. I think you are awesome and a role model for young moms. Smile

Aww, thanks, Jina. I owe it to my parents. They wouldn't let me quit and they stood behind me completely.

Yea Christina, I agree with Jina. That is awesome! Smile

Hey to everyone else!!! This is why I come in and out of these threads cuz I read the replies and forget what was said and who said it LOL! I will try to get better at this ha.

Did you all have a good weekend?

The sun came out here (YAY!) and I am burnt to a crisp ha. We went to 'The home of rest for old horses' here on the isle and guess what..... I was sooooooooooooo scared of them!!!! Honestly, I have never felt like that in my life before. I think it was because there was only a 3/4ft fence between me and them... and they were HUUUUGE!! They were obv used to ppl because they were all stood at the fence, waiting or wanting something. I was stood there thinking 'OMG, what if they suddenly jump over the fence?! OMG, that one is eyeing me up and down!!' hahaha. I actually ran and hid by my car at one point

I went to watch the first practice of the TT last night too, which was FAB!

Hope you all had a good one too Smile

Wow Christina - you are a wonder woman!!! Your kids should be so proud of you for all you've been through.

My 1 year old's party was nice. My Dad didn't come (he had to "work") but that's nothing new. He hardly ever came to anything when I was little either. His wife came though. Aside of my MIL making my DS#1 cry within the first 5 minutes of being there it was really nice. She's such a PITA.

It was soooo hot yesterday. The other kids were at the ex's houses so we took little Mason swimming which was great - he splashed and loved it. Then I got my DH to try a new restaurant (which is hard) and it was great too.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

With 2 Christina's on this thread we should have nicknames!!!

Carg - my Dad was the complete opposite when I was little, he came to everything! My mum and him seperated back in March 09 and he barely sees my DD these days. I'm so disappointed at him for this!!

Yeah, parent can disapppoint whether they are old or young. At least you have some good memories from your childhood. My mom and dad divorced in 1998 (a week before my 1st marriage). It was awful at my wedding.

I just get irritated because his wife spends a lot of time with her daughter and kids and so my dad sees more of them than he does of me or my sisters or our kids. It's a constant source of irritation for me. I should be strong enough to let it go but sometimes it's hard.

Oh man, your wedding must have been sooooo hard to get through. Were they making things awkward?

This is what I worry about, birthdays, christenings, weddings.... my folks still don't talk.... my Mum hates my Dad!

How do you get through it?

My Dad has a new woman and she's ok. I hate seeing them both together though because she just talks about herself and so I don't get much time with my Dad then.

FAMILIES!!
