Well, for me, I was very scared to try again but my desire to have a family won out. Also, I don't think it's very fair to my husband for me to just give up....you know? He has been very supportive so I think that helped. The ladies on TTCAL were very helpful as well. Now I'm just determined! I WILL not give up! lol

Ugh...baby fever sucks! You are right; there is never a "right" time to have a child. I guess there are a million things I would like to do before starting a family but it would take years to get them done. Even then I’m sure I’ll have another million….I think sometimes you just gotta say the heck with it and just do it! It sounds like you have a plan in mind so I hope time passes quickly for you! December is not too far away!

Beth - So nice to "see" you over here. Congrats on #2!!

Anna - You have never been to the zoo? Wow you need to go. Not all zoo's are created equal though. I'd love to take my kids to the San Diego Zoo, but that's a little far since we live in WA. LOL We see what excitement we can find when we go back for Eli's day. We plan on feeding the Giraffe when we do.

Christina, Kristi, and Gina. Nice to "see" you ladies over here.

I have no exciting chicken or rooster stories. We had them as pets, but they eventually became dinner.

I'm excited to cheer ladies on who are TTC. We are completely done.

Jina - I'm so sorry for your losses. I'll be keeping you in my prayers for a healthy, sticky bean soon.

Christina - I always wanted twins. My cousin was the lucky one. Her's are 17 too. The funny thing is I ALWAYS wanted a girl. Then I had one and I can COMPLETELY see why God gave me boys. LOL In some ways they are easier. I do love my little girl though. And boy she is all Girl too.

And for those who don't know me, I'm Angela BTW. I am a SAHM to 3 boys and one girl. Two of my kiddos have special needs. One is mildly autistic, but you would never know unless I told you. And then there is Eli. He was born with a lot of congenital heart defects, has had lots of surgeries, will have to have several more at the least, and he seems to be a medical mystery to all the drs. I talk about him a lot and when I get quiet it's usually because I'm worried about him and tend to isolate myself. My oldest and youngest are completely healthy and typical developing. I'm definitely a pg.org addict so I can never stay away for too incredibly long.

So any exciting plans for anyone this weekend? I am hoping DH is going to get the screendoor in front installed, along with the ceiling fan installed and the shed moved. We will see what he can accomplish. I wish I was handier and more capable of doing something, because I would be doing something for him. Unfortunately I am not.

Oooo yay fresh blood!!!! Uh, sorry, I mean new faces

    Welcome all!!!

Christina I watched you get your BFP - congrats!!! I have 5 also (well, 2 of them are step kiddos) and ours are 9, 7, 7, 4, 1.

I'm not a big chicken person myself but I have colleague who has chickens and he brings me eggs once in a while and I LOVE the fresh eggs. Soooo much better than store bought.

Weekedn plans - we are having our 1 year old's b-day party on Sunday. Nothing fancy just family and the neighbors for hotdogs, cake, kids running all over. Fun stuff.

The Memorial Tournament starts Monday so our neighborhood will be cralwing with cars and people for a week. It's a bit crazy but I love our neighborhood so I guess I woulnd't change it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Christina, that is a big space isn't it! How come you waited so long? I don't suppose it matters really with the age gap. I would just like to 'get it out the way' haha.
I had my first 3 when I was very young. I left the bio 'sperm donor' when I was 4 months along with the twins (though I didn't know they were twins yet). I graduated high school 5 months after having the twins and went straight into college. I worked and went to school and took care of my children as a single mom throughout that time.

I met DH in my 2nd year of college, though he was going for different classes as he already had his degree. After graduation I went straight to work full time. So really, it was just that I had my hands full all the time! Never really any break of any kind. Plus, I never had that tick, tock people talk about or baby fever of any kind. I was super busy, super happy and I was done.

Then the twins hit 13 and all the boys were so responsible and independent. We got lot of free time to do and be. It was about that time that I started to feel I bit of baby fever but I just ignored it. 2008 it was roaring. We did get preggo pretty quickly but that ending in m/c. Then 9 months later I got preggo with DS#4. Funny, it took 9 months to get preggo with this pregnancy, too.

    Long story, huh!?

Thanks for the encouragement. I thought about temping vaginally and I might do it next cycle. I just hope it's not too much harder than temping orally since I'm having a hard time going back to sleep after taking my temp.
I was afraid it would be harder but it's actually easier. I never had to worry if I had it in the right place or if my temp that morning was accurate, which I had to do almost every morning. I too have an issue going back to sleep after temping.

Yep, love my boys so much. They are just so easy and go with the flow. The drama I hear mothers of girls deal with sacres me. And seeing the way they dress, etc at school when I take my boys Plus I am such a girly girl I wonder what kind of girl I would raise. My biggest fear is that she would revolve around hair, make-up and clothes and not have that inner self...you know, idolize Paris Hilton or The Kardashians for nothing and think brains were for losers. Yeah...girls scare me. However, if I did have a girl, I would still be as excited as I was having all her brothers.

Angela, hi there, it's nice to "meet" you! Thanks for the prayers, I appreciate it very much. I am sorry to hear about your son's heart. I will keep him in my thoughts and I hope that he will be healthy as can be soon after the surgeries.

On a lighter note - lol @ your lack of exciting chicken or rooster story! Kind of an odd topic, I guess.

I hope you guys get some of the house projects done...we have a long list ourselves. I wish I was handier as well....then I can knock out some of the nagging stuff w/o waiting for my hubby to get some free time!

Christina, haha....fresh blood?! Ooh! Have fun with the B-day party...sounds like a lot of fun! I wish our neighborhood had fun tournaments and parties....we all keep to ourselves here.

Christina, wow, I think it's amazing you that you graduated high school and college with 3 kids. A lot of young girls who get pregnant young don't ever manage to even graduate high school. I think you are awesome and a role model for young moms.

Aww, thanks, Jina. I owe it to my parents. They wouldn't let me quit and they stood behind me completely.

Yea Christina, I agree with Jina. That is awesome!

Hey to everyone else!!! This is why I come in and out of these threads cuz I read the replies and forget what was said and who said it LOL! I will try to get better at this ha.

Did you all have a good weekend?

The sun came out here (YAY!) and I am burnt to a crisp ha. We went to 'The home of rest for old horses' here on the isle and guess what..... I was sooooooooooooo scared of them!!!! Honestly, I have never felt like that in my life before. I think it was because there was only a 3/4ft fence between me and them... and they were HUUUUGE!! They were obv used to ppl because they were all stood at the fence, waiting or wanting something. I was stood there thinking 'OMG, what if they suddenly jump over the fence?! OMG, that one is eyeing me up and down!!' hahaha. I actually ran and hid by my car at one point

I went to watch the first practice of the TT last night too, which was FAB!

Hope you all had a good one too

Wow Christina - you are a wonder woman!!! Your kids should be so proud of you for all you've been through.

My 1 year old's party was nice. My Dad didn't come (he had to "work") but that's nothing new. He hardly ever came to anything when I was little either. His wife came though. Aside of my MIL making my DS#1 cry within the first 5 minutes of being there it was really nice. She's such a PITA.

It was soooo hot yesterday. The other kids were at the ex's houses so we took little Mason swimming which was great - he splashed and loved it. Then I got my DH to try a new restaurant (which is hard) and it was great too.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

With 2 Christina's on this thread we should have nicknames!!!

Carg - my Dad was the complete opposite when I was little, he came to everything! My mum and him seperated back in March 09 and he barely sees my DD these days. I'm so disappointed at him for this!!

Yeah, parent can disapppoint whether they are old or young. At least you have some good memories from your childhood. My mom and dad divorced in 1998 (a week before my 1st marriage). It was awful at my wedding.

I just get irritated because his wife spends a lot of time with her daughter and kids and so my dad sees more of them than he does of me or my sisters or our kids. It's a constant source of irritation for me. I should be strong enough to let it go but sometimes it's hard.
