Default Tommee Tippe Double Electric or Medela pump in style?

Can anyone give me reviews on the better pump?! I have been using a clinical grade medela, which needs to be returned to the hospital this week, so I bought the Medela pump in style advanced back pack because I have so many of the pieces from the hospital already. I didn't get the protection plan(stupid!) so before I open and use it, I wanted to lay my mind to rest (or return for a different pump!), so please give me some insight if you have used either! THANKS SO MUCH!

I used the pump in style with both kids and have had no issues with it

I have used the Medela Symphony (hospital grade) and Harmony (hand pump) and Ameda Purely Yours. The Symphony was by far my favorite. I really wanted a Medela PIS but since I had the Ameda PY I didn't see any reason to buy it. I have a friend who used the Tommee Tippee and she really liked it. Good luck in your descision!

I am using the symphony now, and just bought the PIS. To keep the symphony is $62 a month, so that is not an option. I hope the PIS is as good as the reviews I read! Thanks guys! Ya know what is so ashame, ten years ago I would have recieved 15 replies in 15 minutes on this thread. I would have never guessed PO would become so lightly traveled. I miss the old days.

Does your insurance reimburse you for your pump? You might want to check that out. I have read so many good reviews on the PIS. I think you will like it and have a lot of success with it.

Yes, pg.org has slowed down quite a bit from when I joined which was a year and a half ago. I hope it is just a lull and will pick back up soon! You might get some good responses if you post on some of the birth boards for the moms who have recently had babies.

I used the pump in style advanced -- it's been used on two kids with no problem! I'm pregnant with #3 and plan to use it again this time

I have used a lot of different pumps through the years with my kids and I feel the Medela pis is the best pump for non hospital grades. It was for me though pretty comparable to the hospital grades I used at the hospital and have rented.

I have used Medela and Ameda. I liked Medela much better than others. And among manual pumps, I liked Avent.
