Any other Elf Failures?

I'm officially an Elf Failure.

I just noticed that Twinkles is still in the same spot he has been in for the last 10 days. ROFL
He forgot to stay at the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Thankfully Jax has not noticed. I think I'll need to make it a point to put him back in the box during naptime today.

i think we only forgot to move him one day Smile

and on christmas eve he was moved to the star on the top of the tree so that he could watch the kids enjoy their toys and report back to santa weather they liked everything Wink and i could then use him as leverage on their behaivior on next year ROFL

Only once. G had a little friend over and they all slept in the living room that night, stayed up well past midnight andthis momma had a bit too much wine. Well the next morning Tivy comes down and gets all upset that he was still in the same place. I told her that b/c the boys slept down there and were up 1/2 the night he couldn't fly back to the N Pole. I told them that santa must think they have been really bad hoping to do some reverse psych on them. It kinda worked.

Tyler was only half-convinced by Elfie. He enjoyed coming down to look for him every morning, but I'm not sure he believed that he had to be good around him. Or if he did, he felt that the risk was worth it Wink

I did remember to move him every night and he went into a box hidden away after he went to bed on Christmas Eve.

Belle didn't really buy into the Elf.. until she told him on Christmas eve she wanted a pink present and a pillow pet. Santa brought both the next morning, her leap pad and her lightening mcqueen pillow pet. Now she asks where he is...

I will admit he didn't get put away until they were opening presents Christmas morning... cuz mommy forgot!

This was Gweny too. Bradley saw me moving him one time so I had to spill the beans to him. He still believes in santa and all, just not the elf. So he became my elf helper and reminded me to move him every night after Gweny went to sleep. Thank goodness I clued him in on the secret otherwise the elf would've stayed in the same spot the whole month!

Complete and utter failure here. Alanis was scared of the damn thing and didn't want to hear anything of it from day 1. I had put it on the Christmas tree and then moved him to a picture frame so that she wouldn't be constantly reminded of it. Well, guess what, he's still hanging from that frame. Guess I should take him down tonight.

I purposely didn't get an elf because I knew I'd fail at it, plus I'm sure the older 2 would have ruined it for Jayden.

I managed to move our elf every night. It was what got Delaney out of bed each day...to go find Dexter. She loved it!! I'm hoping we will be able to get up and around on Tuesday morning without him!

For now he is tucked safely away in his box with the rest of our Christmas decorations.
