Ok, I feel like a major boob saying this. Because I still have a box all taped up for Wendy, and Peg (of winter clothes that never got sent) and the Box for Julie of newborn stuff I just walked across the street to my neighbor who just had a baby.

But, I am committed to getting some of this crap out of my house. I promised those Keens to Allie and I've got stuff that I know will fit little Fiona that I'm going to send along in Allies box. I know I have stuff that that will fit Daphne too. I swear I swear I swear to do it this time.

"luangwa" wrote:

I love them both Kelly. I also LOVE mismatched wood!!!!

"Jumarse" wrote:

Love those Kelly!!!!!

Colleen, but the difference is you aren't buying 75 at one time, I mean I'm all for saving money, just not freakin' Army mess hall size buying quantities, lol!!!

Mel, don't worry, I have a few boxes here that have been ready to go out for months now with still no sight of me visiting the PO! I wanted to sell some stuff on ebay, but thought, if I cant' even manage to get to the PO for family and friends, hell if I'm going to make it there for some random tool!

"Jumarse" wrote:

Poor Colby....he was playing with shaving cream and wouldn't help clean up, so I said he couldn't watch the new Mickey movie that came today. So he helped clean and I put the movie in...the freakin' thing is damaged, so he started crying, but I helped clean, I helped clean!!!!!!!! Thank goodness a friend gave him a Mickey DVD and I put that one in....for like the million and tenth time!

"shefrn1" wrote:

speaking of dvd's....Julie...our netflix trial is prolly up soon...I think around the 14th....i'm prolly gonna cancel...it's coola and all but I got 1 movie (which I keep forgetting to return) and saw 1 movie on the wii...although i did try to cram all the disneyworld resort movies in yesterday before I cancel ROFL

"luangwa" wrote:

That is the saddest thing ever. Just like the time we were going to go to Hopscotch and got there and they were closed because of the damn weather.

"Jumarse" wrote:

Exactly Mel!! Poor kids!

I'm gonna cancel too...got 3 movies so far, one streaming video...can't justify 10 a month for that!

"msmama" wrote:

Won't get off my lap. My shirt is so gross from all the times I've been coughed and sneezed on today.

Mel - LOVE the clothes. Super love the giaraffe bathing suit.

Checked out that link you posted for Jules, too. Cute stuff and I was tempted but Miles has enough for summer. I think.

I LOVE Netflix. Seriously, the streaming has been a livesaver the past three days. Although I'm planning on cancelling cable so I think I'll use it even more then.

Just looke at your ticker Jules - can't believe D is almost 4 months old already?!?!?! Crazy!?!?!

"StateChick" wrote:

Just cancelled my netflix, too - hadn't even used it a single time. We never even manage to watch what we have on the dvr unless it is a cartoon.

So dh just left to play poker. :woohoo: I love that he's off work, because he really needed a vacay...just wish he wouldn't try to control my days when he's off if it doesn't really affect him!

Emily, I hope Miles is all better tomorrow and you don't catch whatever he had.

I think C has had a big growth spurt. A lot of her 3t stuff is too small now. All the things that are new for her are 3t, but all the hand me downs/consignment are 4t.

Julie, what size is Daphne right now and what size do you think she'll be next fall/winter?

"StateChick" wrote:

Oh yeah, Peg, can't remember if you posted your craftiness yesterday or today, but the skirt and top were seriously adorable. Can you post a link of the bonding stuff that you use?

And Karrie, not sure if you'll see this, but a few weeks ago at Target they had a ton of Dora stuff in the dollar spot if Mikayla is still wanting a Dora party!

I'm the worst for mailing stuff out, I can't stand the post office and the million and one people in line.

I just cancelled netflix, we've been using it quite a bit, but with the weather getting warmer we won't be inside as much, it's just not worth it right now. Of course tonight I was going to put on a movie for Aidan and remembered we don't have it lol.

Today was good, I went to Jordan's with the boys, Aidan was being a turd though, he was instigating with Violet and the poor girl was having none of it lol, he was a turd when he got home too, he went to bed and fell asleep in a second tonight, I guess he still really needs a nap. Now the newbie is on my lap sleeping, he slept most of the day so I'm anticipating a craptastic night, I should really get to bed myself, but the house is SILENT, and I love it. Bill is at his parents for a cheesy horror movie night and the only sound I hear is my sleeping baby and the dryer.
my mom's DH just called, he'll be over here in about half an hour to drop off Aidan's birthday gift, so no bed for me yet lol.

Emily- I hope Miles is feeling better. Aidan had that fever Wednesday and yesterday he was absolutely fine, it was the wierdest thing.

wow, I just read 11 pages. Geeze you guys have been busy!!

Happy Friday evening!!

I really cant remember everything I read. A few things:

Peg yay for dh's job!!
Very cute clothes!
I hope Miles and Alyssa feel better
Allie, I hope you get some sleep.
Karrie, I agree with telling dh to bite you..
Colleen that's way too funny!

Belle and Ben went back to Amanda's this week and the change has been amazing. Belle has been so happy and both kids have slept really really well. I hate to hve to change sitters.. Also, Belle is starting to talk more.

I have a job interview Monday!! Instead of my current job where I have a 50 min commute this would be 20. YAY!! I would be the math department at the high school, which would be a change, but I think the position would be really good. My interview is Monday at 8.

Just Between Friends sale tomorrow! Ben needs clothes badly, so its good timing. And I got paid today Smile

Then Prom tomorrow. I'm getting my hair and maybe my nails done! I love having my hair/nails done, but hate paying the money. Now I just have to figure out how I want it up.. I want it all up and its past my bra strap now.. Soon, I'll cut it off for locks of love. DH is going too, my sister is watching the kiddies.

I took both kids and a dog for a walk tonight. It was 85 when I got home!! Supposed to be really warm tomorrow too, then possibly big storms Sunday.

Hope everyone has a good week!!

I would love to save what the extreme couponers do, but realistically what they he!! are they going to do with all that stuff? DH was like, wont it expire before it is used?

One guy donated 1000 boxes of cereal to his church for the mobile panty I think it was......but man their garage, under their beds, any and everywhere they stick stuff.....

Colleen, I can see that scenario playing out like on a comedy show!!! ROFL

Hi Kat! Hi Kerri...have fun at prom!

Wade did not sleep longer than a 45 minute stretch last night. Sad

Peg, how's LYssa? Ready for her big party? Can't wait to see pics!

Colleen - LMAO That is toooo funny.

Mel - forgot to say I love Abs clothes.

Kerrie - Good luck with the job interview and have fun at the prom!

Deb, I'm sure you aren't counting the days! Wink so soon now!

Kerri have fun tonight, especially getting yourself all done up, FUN!

Colleen, I'd have paid to see those shenanigans at the store! ROFL It couldn't have been planned better if it was a TV show!!

Candace, awwww, how sweet Dh takes Cady out for a breakfast date, love it! You asked what size D was now....pants 6m, onesies or sleepers 6-9 months. Awww, I'm sorry Wade didn't sleep well at all. Sad

Emily, I'm sorry you got sick. Sad Yeah it really sucks with no sick days. Any chance G could take Miles out for the day???

Kristi, I watched that episode where the dude bought 1100 boxes of cereal...for FREE! He got $5900 worth of groceries for $250 some bucks. CRAZY!

Yawn here, D's second waking was at 4:45 when she thought she should be up for the day...finally got her back to sleep and who should then wake up but Senor "It's time to get uuuuuuuuuuup!!!!!!". And stupid me didn't turn the TV off til 1 because I was catching up on DVR'd stuff, for D to wake up at 1:45. Duuuuuuuumb!!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Hi Karrie

Hey Kerri- Naartjie is running Spring 1 at 40% off. Just started yesterday. Thought I'd let you know. Wink Hope your interview is a success.

Jules, I did the exact same thing last night. And I knew I wasn't going to have the luxury of sleeping in because DH is working today. Man, I'm a tard.

holy crap that's cute Kelly. I don't think T-ball starts here until age 4. We're going to do soccer instead though, Bill doesn't want to watch Aidan sit in the outfiled and pick his nose

Kerri- Good luck on Monday, that sounds like a great opportunity.

Deb- I wish I had Summer vacay to look forward when I"m working. I seriously should have listened to my mom when she told me to be a teacher.

Julie- sorry for the lack of sleep, I hate it when Night Allie screws up Morning Allie, but sometimes it's nice to do something for yourself without having to worry about a crying baby or a snot faced 3 year old. Speaking of Which, I'm going to have a 3 year old in under a week :hairraising:

Candace- That is sweet that DH is taking Cady Mae out garage saleing (sp?)

Last night wasn't horrible. WIlliam went down at 10:30pm after my mom's DH left and he woke up at 11:45 and then 12:45 so I decided enough was enough of that and put him in his carseat like Colleen suggested, it worked, I rocked him a bit (unlike Aidan, William actually relaxes in his carseat as long as he's fed) he slept for 3 hours woke up for some nunnies, it took about 45 mins to get him settled in the seat again and then he slept until about 6:30am so not too bad. I don't want him to sleep in it all the time, I know it's not good for their spine and stuff, and I tip it back so his head doesn't go forward and suffocate him (yes I googled carseat sleeping at 4am) so if I can just get him to get used to not sleeping with me in bed, it's just not safe in our bed, the mattress is too soft, DH is too big, and I want my boobs in my shirt when I sleep. but maybe a few nights of it will be ok then we can transition to swing and then to bassinett  baby steps right?

DH took the kids to the bird trail today, there were some cute pics, I'll post some of AIdan later, He's getting so big but sometimes I still see my little baby in him and today was one of those days, I just love that kid.

OH great news, Aidan is totally daytime potty trained (not toilet because he's afraid of falling in lol, even with the seat) you don't have to ask him to use the potty for pee or poo, I still do though because sometimes he plays with hisself and I never know if it's because there's no diaper covering it anymore or if it's because he has to pee lol.

Allie Yahoo on doing great during the day for Aidan! AWESOME!!!!!!! And yeah, baby steps at night, he's not going to be in either the swing or car seat long term, I think it's okay if everyone gets some sleep!!!

hey all! nak... but that's pretty much every time i'm online right now. lol

busy day today... went to the farmer's market and then dh and i cleaned out the garage while everyone napped. i'm sooooo happy that's done - and happy we have just enough junk to make it a relatively quick project. my parents have a 2-car garage that is completely packed with stuff. they keep talking about doing something about it, but nothing yet.

took micah back to the pedi yesterday and he does have a little skin infection after all... we decided to do a topical AB bc i'm terrified of us all getting thrush, and it's looking way better already! Smile and N has pooped in the potty twice in a row now... hoping this might be it, but i'm not holding my breath just yet.

ok, off to catch up. hope everyone is having a nice weekend! bbl....

Yay Aidan! Isn't it funny how it just seems to click in their head and suddenly, it's a constant thing? That's how it was with Tyler too - we fought him tooth and nail and then wham, he was pt'd.

Ruth - aw, sorry to hear that Micah has a skin infection, but that's great that the AB's are helping already. Maybe a probiotic for you/him/both to stave off the thrush?

Kelly - LOVE the pic of Owen. He looks so grown up!

DH left this morning for the next 5 days. While I miss the adult companionship, I realized that in terms of care, it's not that much different. We tried to go to the park today, but it was near 90 degrees and just too hot to be out in the sun wearing Lana - so I bribed Tyler away from the park with ice cream sundaes. We're going to try for the zoo tomorrow morning though before it heats up. Lana was in bed by 7:30, Tyler by 8:30. And now I am sitting here enjoying a beer and some nachos. Considering Lana was up every 2 hours coughing last night, I really should go to bed, but the silence is sooo nice!

OMG I'm so exhausted I'm shaking right now lol, but William needs nunnies and I need a snack. We just got back from SIL's house from watching Hockey and the beginning of Baseball. It was a good evening, the kids were well behaved and by the time we left Aidan was so tired he didn't put up much of a fight lol.

Ruth- that's awesome that Noelle pooped twice, I think by the second or 3rd poop, Aidan had it down pat, he had one accident at the park, and then that was it.
I second the probiotics for the thrush, My MW reccommended I stay on that because the GV didn't work for us, so we must have had a resisitent strain or something, but it sucked. I'm glad they've caught the skin infection, poor guy.

Kerri- I hope you're having fun a prom, I saw your FB status that you're ready to go home lol.

good morning ladies.......the weather is gorgeous here!!!!! finally!!!!!!!!
had a busy day yesterday....... kindergarten orientation, lucy did good.....she was so nervous, had the poops all morning because of nerves, cried in the truck there, she went to her classroom and was ok, i left and went to the parent area.......went back 2 hrs later.......and she told me the bus ride was fun, and that she had to hold her friends hand because they were both scared.......how stinkin sweet is that.....she survived a whole session....loved it. so hopefully when we do the 2nd orientation at the end of august, she will be allset to go with no morning poops.
then it was opening day for baseball, spent the afternoon on the ballfield, then supper, and my girlfriends had a 40th bday party for one of the girls, so off to the party i went........and today is just beautiful!!!!!!! so i'm sure we will be out for the day......thinking maybe take the kiddo's up to the highschool to ride bikes and hit the playground.....
hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!!!!!

How is everyone's day going?

Josh is going to start school tomorrow after all. They wouldnt let us bring him up there to meet his teacher and see the school after all. What crap. So now to see how he reacts tomorrow morning. I think there will be many tears shed, probably alot by me.

Today is boring. At work all day long and you guys arent keeping my busy reading. LOL.

Kat - Was it fatbraintoys.com?

Mel - sorry for not playing on here yesterday. We had Grace's birthday party (Ils and babysitter's family) but even with just them it was a lot of work.

Colleen - awwww. so glad she had a good first orientation day.

So we learned that Grace does not like people singing the Happy Birthday song to her. We thought it was the candles because she did that on her actual birthday, but yesterday she blew the candles out no problem but we hadn't sang yet, so we relit them and started to sing. Well, she covered her face and started screaming.

Ugh...I have to run to Target and start packing. We're going to Florida for spring break.

Peg - glad she likes the game. Hope Ty feels better.

Kat - one thing they say at Miles's preschool is to make goodbyes short and sweet. Tell him he'll have a great day and get the heck out. Then go cry in your car - like I did. Hope it goes great!!

Just goine to whine for a moment - don't bother reading if you don't want.

Miles is STILL sick. Thought he was better yesterday but his fever came back yesterday afternoon. I feel like a$$ (which means that if he feels this bad then he's totally being a trooper). But he is completely attached to me. He asked for juice, had to come with me and wouldn't let go as I poured it into his cup.

I invited a TON of people to his bday party next week thinking that a lot of them wouldn't be able to make it - well EVERYBODy is coming, which means that we'll have like 30 kids, plus parents next week.

I have to make cookies on a stick to take to school on his birthay and his bday cake.

My Mom, my BFF and her THREE children arrive on Wednesday to stay for a week.

And have I mentioned that Miles and I both feel like crap?!?!

I suppose it's better that it happens this weekend rather than next but it'd be nice to be sick at a time that I didn't have quite so much to do.

OK, whine over.

abby is sick, too......she started acting weird on the ball field yesterday....by 5pm.......she had a fever.....gave her some motrin, and put her to bed.......slept restless all night.....thought she felt better this morning.....but nope......been asleep since about 11:30.......and it's almost 3.......poor girl...........ONE DAY AT THE SCHOOL........she played with the toys in the library at the school the other day while lucy was being tested.......coincidence??? oh well........she'll survive......

off to go wash the floors.....

peg.......sorry for the pukes.........yuck.........i hate being puked on!!!!! blechhhhhh.......hope ty feels better..........

Went to the grocery store by myself. Had a panic attack. Was able to keep myself calmed down and talked myself through it. I live by routines and well, when there isn't a routine to follow, (like getting the kids out of their carseats and into the cart and such and jibbering to them while pushing the cart into the store) I tend to start to feel really nervous. Wow, it hit out of no where. Plus, I think I'm extra jittery because Jax starts school tomorrow.

I want youall to know, I finally bought Jax backyard clothes. 3 Faded Glory sets @ $6.50 a piece, Plus 2 Garanimals Shorts and 2 Shirts @ $3.50 each. Won't be having a repeat of Boden disaster.

Abs just woke up, gotta see if Miss Won't.stay.interested.in.the.boob is ready to be interested.

Deb, sorry about Grace not liking people singing to her. Sad I bet things will be different by next year. Last year, Noelle was a little baffled when people started singing all of a sudden. This year, she sang the loudest. lol Have fun in Florida!!!!!!! You need and deserve a great break!!

Colleen, bummer about Abby being sick. Sad I hope it's a quick passing bug!! That is so sweet about Lucy. I know she'll do just awesome next year. It's really a wonderful thing for them to preview it - it'll give her so much confidence in the fall.

Emily, I hope you guys feel better soon! I totally understand about the timing of things (not that it's ever a good time to be sick lol).

Candace, SCORE on the clothes!!!!! Can't wait to see pics!

Mel, :bigarmhug: That totally sucks. I hate those panicky feelings so much. Sad It's slowly getting better, but ever since the twins were born, I fight back panic a lot. I'm glad you were able to talk yourself out of it.

Everyone is sleeping here except me and Brian. He only slept for an hour or so, but at least he's happily playing and cooing on the floor next to me. He has one hand in his mouth and using the other hand to keep hand #1 in place. lol This has taken me a really long time to type because I keep watching him. :biglove: I CAN'T BELIEVE the boys are going to be 6 months old in 2 days! I have to admit I'm getting concerned about Brian's weight. Since their 4 month appt, I've really gotten the clogged ducts under control and slowly built my supply back up so they really only get formula just before bed (in vain hopes that they might sleep ). But at their 4 month appt, I was doing almost 50/50 BF/formula. Anyway, I think Brian only weighs a little over 16 pounds right now (I tossed him on the scale really quick at Micah's appt last Monday just to see, but he was really squirmy). I just checked the growth charts and if he really does weigh just over 16 pounds, then he's fallen drastically off his curve. Sad I've been really worried that he's not getting enough milk from me... he's up so frequently at night and my right side just isn't a great producer. Lately, it has been taking longer and longer for me to have a let down on righty and I have no idea why - I nurse him on that side every 2-3 hours around the clock. And when the milk finally comes in, he's only vigorously taking in milk for no more than 2 minutes. If the stars line up right and he is able and willing to stick around for a 2nd let down, it's even shorter. Sad But just this morning he was sleeping in the nursery, so I decided to nurse Micah on righty (usually he only nurses on lefty) and he nursed for over 3 minutes and NO let down at all! I don't get it. I know my supply might have gone down last week since I've been sick, but the let down issue started before that. I have no problem with let downs on lefty, either. Isn't it weird? But I'm not sure what to do if Brian really has slipped down on his curve (I'm talking from over 60% down to 10-ish%). I just feel like I need to be prepared to discuss this with his pedi and I feel like such a newbie mom right now because Noelle was completely FF from 6.5 months onward...

Anyway, sorry to type such a novel. Worrying seems to be my favorite pastime right now. lol

oooo, he's about to roll from back to belly again!!! he did it just once - a little over a week ago. Biggrin and....... changed his mind. lol ok, i'm going to get some laundry going... i have 4 loads to put away once everyone wakes up. i hate not having access to the upstairs during naptime (for several reasons).

oh! almost forgot... greatest of ironies. i took noelle to the store to get a lollipop since she pooped in the potty. what did she do there? pooped in her pants. it wasn't really her fault, though - she tried to stop and hold it, but i think the miralax just MAKES her go... anyway, she started bawling and i took her to the bathroom but i guess i didn't pull her panties down far enough... so she peed on them and i had no choice but to throw them away. but wait, it gets better - i had her in a little sundress yesterday that was my favorite from last summer, but it's the last time she was going to be able to wear it because it's too short. so we had to go back out in the store with her pantie-less in a too-short dress... and it would have been okay except she suddenly had an itch on her behind and kept trying to scratch it. Oh, the fun we have. lol Then Micah had ANOTHER poopy blowout while we were trying to get everyone to bed last night and it got all over my arm. I am SO pooped out, literally!! lol

Ruth - :bigarmhug: on the poop episodes.

Mel - sorry about the panic attack. Glad you were able to talk yourself out of it though and were able to get Jax some dirt clothes Wink

Candace - can't wait to see pics of the clothes.

Emily - Sad sorry you guys don't feel well and company on top of that.

Colleen - Sad for sick Abby. Hope she feels better soon.

So during my shopping trip to Target w/ Grace, I learned the girl DOES NOT like to try on shoes. But I did get her a puddle jumper!

Ruth-that is too much. I would have gone crazy. Lol. About the weight, he probably was moving around too much. You are doing an awsome job. Sorry you are having so much trouble with the one let down.

Ruth - are you sure that you are not having a let down on that side? I know I can only feel the letdown when Lana nurses on my right side - I can never feel it when she nurses on lefty, but I know she's eating. I know it's stressful, I'm so sorry that you are struggling with it. Having never nursed twins, I can't offer any advice....Is it possible for you to switch which side they nurse on at each feed? Or are they already set in that regard? I can imagine that's really hard to keep track of! Way to go on getting your milk supply back up, btw! And sorry about the poop.

The zoo was a lot of fun today - it's just a small town zoo, nothing special. My mom went with us. We got there early and there weren't a lot of people, so it was nice. Tyler were himself ragged. He was so excited to see the animals. His new word is crocodiles....which he pronounces fockle fockles. LOL!! I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at that!!

Mornin'....

That's a funny poop story, Ruth! Sorry about the BF worries, the boys look super healthy and happy to me though... and talking about letdowns...I only felt that in the beginning maybe the 1st couple months of BFing, and I've never had a second letdown! Or at least I've never felt one, and I have no supply problems at all. So maybe you are, but you don't feel it?

Without looking back...who was talking about goats and chickens?? Wanted to add my 2 cents... DON'T DO IT. Well, don't do the goats, but definitely do the chickens! The goats are a total pain but the chicks are a lot of fun and productive!

Ooh, forgot you had goats, Jen!! Good morning! Smile
And I think it was Julie and Colleen and maybe Karrie considering goats? And did Ruth ever find a video link?

I read as I could over the past 4-5 days, but wow, dh being home really cramped my style. Things are so tense with us right now and it is frustrating because we generally get along really well.

I think I saw him at home on his "vacation" and got jealous wondering when I would get a vacation. Kind of silly of me, but it just made me mad when he sat in here and watched tv all.day on Saturday. Didn't help me clean or with the kids at all. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was trying to plan him a little surprise 30th bday party, but I don't feel much like it right now. And it is kind of last minute, so I don't know if it is gonna come together or not. Anyway, he did work in the yard all day Thursday and Friday, so he'll just have to run the mower next Saturday morning before the Easter Egg hunt on Sunday!

Ruth, I know what it is to worry about proper weight gain (I have an internal struggle everyday re: whether I need to get Ella in for more testing). :bighug:
I will say that from what I've read, it is pretty common for breastfed babies to drop down their early infant curve as they are finding their more unique toddler curve. My pedi was not worried at all when Ella dropped from 95th-25th, but by the time she got to the 10th he was getting more concerned.

FWIW, I also never feel a let down except at the very beginning if my breasts are "full" - if they aren't, I never feel it. And you're still offering the formula, right...so if he was still hungry he would drink more (if you are worried that the reason he is losing weight is because he isn't getting enough milk from you). When is his next appointment? KUP!

[eta: Bottom line though, if you think something isn't right, pursue it...just offering that insight because you were talking about feeling like a first time mom with the bfing stuff! Not to discount him falling off his curve!]

How are the sickies this morning?

Ooh, and how were the bday parties? Are all the pictures on FB?

Okay, clothes in next post.

Candace :bighug: that is frustrating. DH and I both work full time, but i feel the exact same way, especially on weekends. I clean thewhole house and still manage to make sure both kids are fed, entertained and taken care of. We go to the park, we play - he sits and watches TV. I get on him ALL.THE.TIME about it. He'll say he's tired...he worked all week and wants to take a break blah blah blah. I tell him that I did too and he doesnt get to choose when he's going to be a husband and father. He's gotten better - he definitely helps with the kids way more, but not so much with the cleaning.

I hope now that you guys are back into your normal routine that the tension goes away. But you really should consider taking a mini-vacay for yourself if you can. Even if it's nothing more than a day trip. I found that my DH became more understanding when the kids were in his sole care for a few hours.
