And yes, Kelly, pics!

OH, and Mel, no online pics of what I got today - I'll post later tonight.

GEEZE!!

Anyway...

Kat ~ I totally know what you mean about feeling like you never see the kids. I get mine up at 615 and in the car by 635.. at daycare at 730. pick them up at 345 home about 445 and Ben is in bed a 630 and Belle at 730. So I see Ben about 2 hr and Belle about 3 hours per day not counting commute. It sucks, truly. I'm fortunate that I have 10 1/2 days left until summer vaca. Then you'll hear me whine about how I never get away from them. But I truly think 1 and 3 will be fun this summer.

Deb ~ hear ya about the crazy end of school crap. Our seniors last day is Tuesday. That'll just lead to everyone else shutting down. It'll be great, esp since I teach freshmen.

Candace ~ cute pics!

Mel, Love the pics of Abs and Jax. I esp love her purple outfit! I dunno, I just do! I love Jax's laid back look at the table and his hair!! So cute!

150 bucks is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for a dress.. Blum 3

Peg, I liked the shirts... til I saw the Eagles material.. Steelers fan here Blum 3 But they're super creative.. Hope that Ty and Lyssa feel better!

Ruth, good luck limiting computer time!

Glad to hear Josh and Jax are model students.. I worry about what I've got coming with Belle.

Colleen, yay for a good nap! I can't raise plants to save my life. I'm horrible at it, so good luck with the garden!

I'm exhausted. i worked 2 and a half days this week and I feel like I've run marathons.

I took Belle to her speech eval today. First I took her to the HS with me so I could get my crap together because I was losing my prep time taking her. She was SUPER shy.. We walked in to see the lunch ladies and she realized it was a kitchen. She walked up to one of the ladies and say "Hungee food pease!" so they handed her an uncrustable Blum 3 She was in her Naartjie dress.. ugh.. Then she got mad at me right before the eval because she didn't have time to finish the pb&j.

We got to the elementary school and I took her in. She was good with the blocks, coins and doll. She started out asking where different parts of the body were.. she answered eyes, nose, and ears.. But refused elbow and tummy ( I had really expected her to pull up her dress and show off her tummy!) She answered some questions about pictures and then poked me, pointed to her elbow, said elbow, pointed to her tummy, said tummy and went back to playing.. it was pretty funny..

She got tired of it pretty quickly. I had to do a lil bit of bribery to get her to repeat some phrases and tell her name. The evaluator is going to go to her daycare Tuesday to finish it. Even she said she noticed a big difference since the preschool screening, which I had just commented on to dh. She talks a lot more, expresses more. Still if you ask her what her favorite toy is she'll say "favorite toy." She wasn't able to answer the question what are all these things, the first pic of a ball, toy truck, jump rope and doll, looking for the answer of toys, or of a bear, dog, cat, and horse looking for animals.

Well see how the rest goes.. she's going to the DC when I'm not there, but she has Amanda and Amanda's little boy Dax that is 3 months older than Belle for comfort. I think she'll be fine. We'll see.

Ben's still super snotty and has a pretty nasty cough, but no fever. Poor boy.. BUT he did stand by himself for about 20 seconds today.. Just stood there and smiled at me. I have a feeling we're in trouble soon! Also, he's wearing 18 and 24 mo clothes already!!!

I have gone on three interviews, but no offers. I don't know if you say my fb status last night saying I had big hopes for a phone call.. well I got a phone call, just not the one I meant. I have another interview Wednesday morning at a HS about 10 mins from my house. I'd have to go out of my way to take the kids to dc. Here's hoping!!

I may have had more, but I'm so tired I don't remember.. I'll bbl

ETA: Random pics for your enjoyment.. From last weekend! http://gallery.me.com/mist1006/100082

"isisgoddess_1" wrote:

Sounds like Belle is talking much more. It is exciting isnt it. Glad the eval went so well.
Yay for Ben standing on his own.

crap, I closed this page down before I was done typing booo

AAAANYWAY, I was saying how freaking adorable all the kids are and I definitely think picture Fridays are necessary, and here's a pic of my two taken with my phone lol, Aidan insisted William wear his hat, see how fat William is getting?:yahoo:

I seriously have to sit and learn to use my camera settings instead of always using auto, I love the pics you take Candace, the colour is always amazing. Maybe I'll get Jordan to help me out, it's getting so nice out I can set up a photoshoot outside and take advantage of the natural light. I also have a photographer friend, she's the one who took my belly pics with Aidan and 5 month pics of Aidan, maybe she can show me...

anyway, exciting weekend for me.....well tomorrow anyway. Bill got free tickets to the baseball game Toronto vs. Detroit, I can't wait, they're $71 seats and after begging on FB we got an offer for a babysitter for Aidan, I know i'm ditching my first born on Mother's day, but it's only for a couple hours. A friend offered to babysit Aidan while we went, we probably won't stay for the whole game but it will be nice to get out and I LOVE baseball, I'll strap William to me so it should be an adventure.

OK time to read back more. I feel like such a BBB abandoner (is that even a word?) I'm always trying to get Aidan out of the house or we go nuts, but at least I have the new phone now and posting is pretty fast Smile

William watches TV, Aidan didn't watch TV for any length of time until he was 1, even then it was for short shows. ugh, he's going to be my boob tube kid lol. oh well, it gave me time to play lego with Aidan yesterday, I put on a Baby Einstein for William LOL, yeah, a 2 month old watching baby einstein, sign me up for mother of the year

Off to start catching up a bit - BBL

Allie, Jax didn't see a tv screen turned on until he was 2 months from turning 2  I was a fanatic about it. Abigail started watching Mickey Mouse when she was 24 hours old. Poor girl. I hope 'they' are wrong when they say it's bad for nuerological development.

Boy Kerri, I sure do hope this job hunt end for you soon. Then you can have a nice relaxing summer. Smile

The boys have my car at the dealership getting an oil change and my tire replaced. Yep, same tire that took a bolt a month ago. I've been driving on the (full size) spare for a month. He's just been busy at work to take it during the week, and I wasn't about to sit in a waiting room with 2 kids while they replaced it.
Abigail is napping, I'm doing laundry. I haven't done the kids laundry in over a month. can you say too many clothes choices????

Omg a months worth of Laundry? You'll be folding for a month.

Bill is on nap #2 and it's only 11:30. Must be nice eh? He went to the jays game last night and probably drank a small fortune in stadium beer. You know, I don't miss the indulgent drinking and all day hangovers. It's so beautiful out and he's passed out on the couch. Aidan and I will be heading out soon to get some sand for the sandbox, we've already gone out but he'll be spending the rest of the day outside.

At least Bill isn't bugging you if he's asleep! Wink

My dh had to work today. "Had" to. Ugh. I'm so sick of his work.

And I really wanted to at least sleep a little late today since tomorrow will be filled with events for our moms and grandmas.

Tonight my sibs and I are taking my mom out to dinner. Then my new SIL invited HER parents to join us. WITHOUT ASKING what we thought of that. It kind of makes me mad. This was supposed to be a time to get my mom out of the kitchen so she could just sit and enjoy a meal with us...She also ordered a cake from an expensive bakery and AFTER THE FACT asked if we could pitch in and pay for it. My mom can't even eat the cake because she's on the Atkins Diet. She would rather have that money in a gift card to help decorate her new house. Whatever.

I thought AF showed last week, but just had some pretty light spotting. Clearly my hormones are still getting the best of me. Smile

Kerri, it sounds like Belle's evaluation went well! I hope you get a job soon. That must be stressful, but I bet the right thing will come along for you soon.

Tracy, I know you'll have your hands full with dh being gone this week and everything packed up. :bighug: Has your dad started his treatments yet?

Mel, hope you are still enjoying some quiet time!

Julie, how's it going with grandma?!

Aidan is passed out on the couch lol, my new way of getting a peaceful nap is telling him it's quiet time and he doesn't have to sleep, he lays on the couch with a blanket and I put the TV on and he passes out an hour later lol.

Awww, they're so cute! A little (or a lot ) TV never hurt anyone.. the way i figure, william won't remember this time being parked in front of the TV, but Aidan is getting old enough to remember you playing legos with him... time well spent, imo. Smile

Oh yeah - Peg, love the pics!!!!! I hope your trip to Disney is the trip of a lifetime!!!! Biggrin When are you going again?

And naps.... Noelle is nowhere near being able to give them up. Long story, but I made the conscious decision to have her skip her nap yesterday and WHAT A MISTAKE. She did catch a little catnap in the car, but was a NIGHTMARE for the rest of the day. We made her go to bed early but it was seriously NOT worth it!!!! At least it was good to know that she still definitely needs a nap! A few months ago, I thought she was going to give them up, but then she ripped a book to shreds in her room so we banned everything from her bed and she actually started sleeping again since she didn't have any entertainment. Best mistake she's ever made. lol Biggrin

oops, thought i posted the name of it. it's called thefresh20.com. The jist is that you get 5 meals a week, using 20 ingredients or less (and healthy stuff, too), the meals take 30 minutes or less to prepare, and the cost is $75 or less (I've been able to get the stuff WAY less - I'll add up this week's and get back to you all if anyone is interested). They give you a shopping list, including the estimated costs per item Biggrin AND you use everything you buy - so for example, I needed a red onion this week and will use all of it in three different recipes. So no waste. And the recipes are really straightforward and easy to follow... It costs $5 a month - SO worth it to me to not have to figure out dinner all the time! The meals we've made so far are really good, too - even picky DH likes them! We'll see... but so far I'm loving it!! Biggrin

Peg, love those pictures! You did a great job girl! Oooo the hair thingys are sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colleen hope Jack's doing better now! Dang these kids making us dye our hair because they grow us grays!!!!!!!!!! Awww, I know that was scary, hope his little head is feeling better!

Ruth, did you try to freeze the yogurt? I was thinking a higher fat milk might do the job better! That website sounds interesting, might have to check it out!

Maham, that bird pic YOU posted on FB was hilarious, I'm pretty simple minded today, so seriously I LOL'd at it!!

Hahahahaha yeah, remember when Mel kept saying she wasn't pregnant, we ALL kept saying YES WOMAN, you ARE pregnant, she thought she'd be all slick and show us out...instead she got a little sweet baby!! Smile

So yeah Candace, get to a testin'!!!

Allie, glad Aidan at least is doing some shut eye for ya!! I forced a nap on Colby, which isn't too hard with his hours lately!!

Gma left the hizza, it was a nice time with her here. Colby just adores her, and she is just so great with him, it's so sweet. Morbid me got sad thinking about the time probably not in the too distant future where I'll have to explain to him about Mom-Mom passing away. Sad

well..Candace...I just I'll just have to wait for your POAS. YOu know you are going to have to otherwise we are just going to hound you.

awww..what a great start to the weekend. DH got up with Grace. We took her to Busch Gardens and dinner at Jason's Deli. Since she is our daredevil, we thought she'd love the rides. but it was a no-go. She cried on Oscar's Wiggly Worm and the Merry-Go-Round. She loved the Land of Dragons. She even got me up into a tree house and we scaled a rope bridge. And of course she loved playing in water. Maybe we should try a waterpark for her.

Sounds like a great day Deb, I never liked rides either, I'd take a water park over a theme park any day.

Wish me luck tonight ladies, the boy slept for all but 3 hours today. Last night he did a 6 hour stretch, but I don't think it's going to happen twice lol

I knew it would be. BUt I was being mega-bitty to dh for the past few days and really emotional, so just wanted to make sure. ROFL Well, that and AF hasn't really shown like she did with the girls after 3mths.

Well good.. Now I don't have to write Trojan a letter and demand my money back. Wink

Alright Candace, you know my answer is going to be.....I'll let it go...for now....because you didn't test with FMU!! LOL!

Allie hope sleep went okay last nite!

Deb, sounds like an awesome day yesterday, sorry she didn't like the rides though!

Colby and I already sat on the front porch for a while, I had coffee, he had milk. The robin that built a nest in the wisteria on the porch wasn't in her nest, there's 3 eggs there. As we were coming in she flew back and plopped down, looking like half her feathers were gone and haggard...Colby said, Momma, the bird woke up too early, she's going back to bed!! Yes, Colby, the bird and the SON woke up too early, lol!!

It got cold here too Coll, in the 17 years I've lived in this area, I can't ever remember this late in May still having the heat on! I know it's crazy azz spring weather everywhere, still snowing, cold, opposite of how things should be, lol!!! I'm glad it's not HOT HOT though, haha!!

Ahhhhhh, our days will be similar, finally got ALL of D's too small clothes packed up to give away and can get all the summer clothes it's too cold to wear in the dresser!

Did you take pics of your gymbo haul!!!! Or mostly the little dude WEARING the gymbo haul, lol!

You guys need to move to the Ozarks, then you can learn about weather change.. The saying here is "If you don't like the weather today, wait til tomorrow because it'll be different" On Wednesday/Thursday it was like 50 and raining.. today it's supposed to be 90 and humid.. then later this week back to highs in the 60s.

K, so I wanna know if this gymbo shirt has pants, shorts, skirt to go with it?

It's the same pic as last time, just bigger so you can see it. The skirt she has on is jumping beans, and its cute I just wondered if there was something that coordinated. I can't imagine that there isn't.

UGH.. I'm a moron. it's not gymbo. I have no idea why now twice I thought it was..

Happy Mother's Day morning!!

I got to sleep in this morning - well, Miles had to come tattle on Daddy a few times  but I still slept in.

Then the boys made me waffles. Yummy!

It's beautiful here so we'll probably stay outside as long as Miles and I can handle it (the rhodedendrens are blooming and that puts my allergies over the top every year - maybe 'cause I have like 50 of them in my stupid yard).

Anyway, a trip to Home Depot later probably (to get lumber for my sandbox project) and then probably an early dinner at Outback - mmmmm, red meat! Oh, and I want to rearrange the playroom a little bit. Sadly, the magic toy cleaning fairy didn't come to my house overnight so I have to clean up, too.

Ruth- that site sounds good. I am super picky too so I am afraid to pay the money and not like anything. What are some examples of what the tell you to make?

Let's see, this week: Monday is black bean soup with a simple salad. Tuesday is grilled chicken with bruschetta and strawberries. Wednesday is ginger pork chops (but we're skipping it because we don't eat pork), Thursday is chicken mushroom alfredo with basil and strawberry salad, etc. I have more to say about this, but need to do it later...

Yeah, the weather has been crazy here, too. I also don't think we've ever had the heat on this late in the year... but it's supposed to be 90 on Tuesday. the weather guy said that we might break a record. lovely. i'll take the chilly, thank you!

So Micah woke up around 6:30am-ish to nurse, as usual, and then he usually sleeps for another hour or so. So I put him back down and made it halfway down the hall when I heard him start coughing really hard. Thinking he needed to burp or something, I picked him up and he threw up all over me - most of what he had just taken in. And then he has proceeded to vomit (or dry heave, now) every 15-30 minutes ever since. SadSadSad My poor baby. Sad He's pretty lethargic, just mostly dozing in the bouncer. He's puking up a lot of thick yellow mucous the last few times, so I wonder if maybe he's gotten my cold and it's draining a lot into his stomach and aggravating things? He doesn't really seem congested, though, and certainly not nasally congested at all. I talked to the exchange nurse because I didn't know if babies could get stomach viruses this young, but she said they definitely can... so I guess that's what's going on. My DH and Noelle went to church - he had to take our little kid's choir and then his brass ensemble is performing in two services... and I've been here cleaning like crazy and trying to keep Brian out of trouble. It's so hard to try to clean EVERYTHING since Micah and Brian play with all the same toys and play in all the same places. At least Brian is taking a nap right now, so I can hopefully get a lot done quickly... just decided to take a little break and eat since I haven't yet. Happy mother's day to me. lol i just hope no one else gets this!

well, back to cleaning...

Ooooo Ruth, I'm sorry Micah is sick! Sad Daphne had the same stomach virus we all had at the same time about 2 months ago, it's terrible to watch a little baby dry heave. Sad Aw, I hope it doesn't pass on...it really could be stuff in his chest or sinuses you can't hear draining, and that's his way of getting rid of it. I hope that's the case!!
