lol yes, he's a he. His name is Domino, the kids like it so we didn't change it. Except Joey can't say it and it always ends up being Dynamo and Logan gets tongue-tied and ends up saying Donimo (rhymes with Geronimo). lol

Hi Everyone

OMG what an adorable puppy. your kids must be going crazy over him eh? lol sooo cute.

Colleen, I agree with Mel, I love #3, but #2 is a close second. Great job, I really have to get this done too

Mel, I have to thank you again for the Keens, hands down, best shoes EVER. I'm actually looking for a pair for DH, he loves them. I've found a few sites that have them on sale for about $80, it could make a good FD gift, probably late though.

I keep coming to reply and a little 3 year old is making another mess somewhere in the house. This morning he wanted me to clean his mess I told him no, it's his mess, he doesn't get it lol. so I dumped some stuff on the table and told him to clean it up, he said it wasn't his mess, I just told him it's exactly what he did to me, I don't think he got it LOL

It's super hot here, 32 without the humidex, poor William is shiney lol. once I'm done cleaning a bit more we'll go outside so Aidan can swim. we have an awesome maple tree that shades a good part of the backyard, William and I can chill under that.

I hope to be able to post more one day

oh I made some apple sauce but didn't have enough apples so I cut up pear and rhubarb in it and OMG it's awesome.

Tyler does the same thing with messes. Or when i tell him to pick up his mess, he will say in his sweetest tone, "mommy, you help me?" and his version of help is me cleaning, him playing. he SEEMS to be getting a little better lately, but that could just be wishful thinking!

OK, I hate pg.org right now. Tried to post and got an error message. :violent1:

Here we go again.

I'm still catching up, just wanted to say something before I forgot it. Mel, you'll appreciate this story.

So I sent my DH out to get some cash to pay our little mother's helper and asked him to pick up some swim dipes for the boys since Target was out yesterday. When he got back, he said that he left the dipes in the van since we're just going to the pool and it'll be one less thing to pack. I said that was fine, unless we wanted to get them all ready before we left the house. OBVIOUSLY I was totally kidding and thought he would catch the joke since he's been peed on TWICE now because of the swim dipe. Apparently he hasn't been peed on enough yet, because he was totally like, 'Good point!" and started to go back out to the van to get the dipes. ROFL Shoulda just let him go and get peed on again, but knowing how things work, it'd probably be me who got peed on. lol

Colleen - I like 1 of Jack (what can I say I like the eating one)

I like 2 of Lucy and 1 of Abby.

Okay, so my kids now will do something they arent supposed to and go straight to the corner without me telling them to go to time out. Cheyenne hit Wyatt in the face and I made her hug him and say she was sorry, then she walked straight to the corner.....Wyatt does the same thing.......yet it isnt effective, because more than likely they will do it again.

Hands down this is the perfect pic of Abby. (oops I almost typed Abs LOL) I'm still trying to decide on Lucy. I like how you 'tweeked the background' and this is a perfect pose, but not too 'fake posey' I love how her feet are crossed and I love her sitting on the rocks, as opposed to her balancing on the ball. KWIM?

Oh and I was going to ask you when you had the 6th kid, let alone seven. ROFL Good thing you clarified what you were spelling. LOL

Oh and another thing. I really hate how you are able to still have a cooperating 3 year old, even if 5 is the year of the fake smile. Wink

ok and here's my take on Lucy's pics.

I like 'Lucy' in #1, but I'm not crazy about the extra light in the background, I'll have to go back and look at Jacks picture, but it doesn't 'mesh' well with Abby's. However, I think all around, that #2 is a better pic. Her cheesy little smile captures her as she is now and heck, cheesy smiles work on kids. KWIM? Plus the background is perfect, especially if you go back in and lighten it up a tad like you did with Abby's.

OhMyGosh, I so totally would have asked him if he really wanted to do that!!! And then I probably would have asked "REALLY? Do you think swim dipes hold pee or have we been peed on TWICE before?" ROFL

I'd say that the time in the corner isn't nearly long enough. Double it and set a timer and I'll bet they'll change their tune about the punishment fitting the crime.

Wow, another busy morning. That was a ton of fun. I forget how much fun Jax and Ginilyn have in the pool. Those 2 are a riot. And it was perfect because the little ones cooperated and napped the whole time. My friend watches her cousins baby who is 8 months old and then of course there is Abs, and we just put them down for a nap and took the monitors outside. It was awesome. We played in the pool for about 2 hours and then came in and had a HUGE snack. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple and marshmallows and tortilla chips and cheese dip. Jax went down for a nap before they left. ROFL That's my boy, nap anytime he's ready, regardless of what's going on. LOL

1 on Abby 2 on Lucy! Colby fake smiles now, but I agree, it is what it is, and it's cute! However many outtakes you had, they are turning out great!!!

Ruth, let Dh put on the swim dipes, but then he's got to hold them both and clean up the mess!!

Put it on fb but for Colby's finally 3 year appt he needed a shot I was dreading. Didn't even flinch, just said calmly hey that hurt my arm when they were done. Unbelievable! Got referrals to the audiologist and optometrist. What's funny is he was 40 inches and 37lbs, but she said the height was in the 80 something % as was weight...and weight for height was also in the same percentile. Seems low to me, not that it really matters.

Allie keep cool! It's already 95 here, I think that's similar to there...but god love ya for going outside, I think it's too hot for the pool lol!

Mel glad the pool time worked out! That's so awesome when that happens!! Whatcha ebayin! Selling the monitors?

Haha yeah Peg just make sure you find picasa thru sb! Although if you know something I don't fess up!

Kelly forgot about Ev's stats, way to grow! Hope miralax helps! Post your dad pics!!

Can't believe Daphne is taking a micronap at the same time as Colby's quiet time! I forgot to ask about Motrin a little early, think I'll do it anyway...somethings gotta give, she can't keep not napping but for 1.5 hours total a day on a good day with only 10 hours in the crib at night.

It is a sweltering 83 degrees here right now and the wind is cooling us off. Supposed to be up to 86. I totallly hate the cold weather, but these summers are SUPER DUPER!!!! We go to north TX in a few weeks, where it is hot.... and staying in a hotel with a pool....cant wait.

So I did the same thing. I went to SB to look up downloading the software too......

Colleen, your kids are so freaking adorable........I hate the fake smile stage.....Wyatt has the cheesiest of fake smiles.......I am glad you stated what your were spelling...I was LOST.

Peg, well good grief you are so right. Who doesn't use SB search for everything? ROFL Maybe the jokes on me and there is a way to snag bucks out of the download, but I HIGHLY doubt it, cuz picasa is a google product.

Hi Karrie. I forgot in all the hoopla excitement over Colleens pic choices, THAT PUPPY IS SO STINKING ADORABLE!!!!! Love his name. and the different pronunciations of it.

Jules, I honestly think 8 days early is fine. I KNOW I gave Abs Motrin sometime during the month she was turning 6 months. Hmmm, maybe that's what's wrong with her. ROFL just kdding. LOL

Yep Yep Yep!!! And you thought I was just a complaining fool, didn't you. You HATE that person right now, don't ya?????

Colleen, the effort is paying off already - I love those pics!!! It will be so gorgeous when you are done, and you will forget the snot and the cheese, lol.

I am doling out popsicles and melon but doing my best to stay in the air conditioned inside while the kids roll around in the wading pool in the sweltering outside. Yes, I am watching them. But I just had hernia surgery so there will be no sprinting life guard. I will end up sitting outside soon...

I remember that loss Mel, lol!!!

Karina holy hot!!! Jeez! Well, you are doing the best to keep cool! LOVE that siggy shot!!!! And yes, how did surgery go!!!!!!!!

Colleen I think varied shots would be great!!!!!

Kristi your trip north sounds like it'll be great!

Peg oh yes, swag everything under the sun, loL! I keep forgetting to SHOP thru it, although I've not done any online purchases for a while except amazon!

WWYGD? Get it, hee hee! So Daphne's pink eye, it seems Colby is kinda starting, the pedi agreed...knowing if it's not bacterial again, would you still start him on drops? Washing all the toys I can right now, round 2 in the dishwasher and clothes washer as well....but she did say and it makes sense it's hard with more than 1 kid if you can't keep them separated...and I've already said Colby never leaves Daphne alone for a minute, she's also always grabbing his face, his toys, etc. DH pretty much works 15+ hours a day now, so isn't home to kind have time to ward Colby off and entertain him, it's just me, so keeping them "separate" is really hard, even though D still isn't mobile. Sorry this is so long, but would it make sense to you guys to just start Colby on the abx drops, get them both cleared up, wait a few more days and do a big toy clean again???? I dunno, I really hate abx, and just wonder if using them sets you up for more infections....but then are they going to just keep passing it back and forth???

Posh? Looking over my shoulder...you must mean that guy over there. Ha!

The worst thing about the heat is that we have a huge side yard that would perfectly fit a pool. Maybe one day...First the mortgage, then house improvements, then maybe a pool if we are not forking out for walkers, prosthetics and/or hearing aids by then.

The surgery was fine, thanks. I actually enjoyed lying around for a few hours in the hospital, frozen from the waist down, away from the kids...heaven. LOL. I told the surgeon it was like a trip to the spa. He looked at me like, obviously this woman has never been to a spa.::rolleyes:

When I got home, I rested and read three novels. DH took a week off to help around here. I tried not to look too closely at the state of things, lol. He did a pretty good job, but would forget to send someone's water with their lunch, or arrive five minutes late for the bell at school, or half an hour late to soccer practice. Nobody broke any bones or went hungry, so I really can't complain. I just don't know how this house is going to ever get clean...I am a ways from vacuuming yet.

Other moms at school are helping by bringing the boys home every day this week. I can walk but it is "twinge-y" and all that bed rest made me put my back out. Then I got AF. Picture it: hunched over, bloated, and with a limp. There it is in a nutshell, lol. Try not to get old too fast, ladies...

Julie, don't know where you found your info, or how current it is etc. When I worked for the optometrist he explained conjuctivitis to me like this. In the end it is an infection and will not clear up on it's own. Any number of 'cold' viruses can cause a secondary infection, and the secondary infection is bacterial conjunctivitis. There is not a "conjunctivitis virus". What people get confused about is that conjuctivitis caused strictly by bacteria is mostly seen in adult contact users.

with the humidex it's 97 out (I americanized it for ya lol) we went in the pool for a bit, but it really needs to be emptied, it's big, I can lay down in it, so I brought William in, he LOVED it, it was adorable, Aidan loved having him in there too. but we didn't stay out long, it's just not good weather for a baby.Aidan and I are pretty good with the heat though.

Colleen- I love the pics, they turned out awesome. I think Lucy's cheese smileis cute, you should see Aidan's it's kind of scary LOL

Julie- that's awesome that Colby did so well. I think the next time we get shots, Aidan will take the nurse out lol.

Karina- i LOVE your siggy pic too, so cute. How'd the surgery go? how are you feeling?

Ruth, did you get to sleep? I feel for ya. HATE nights like that. If you are still coughing tonight, mix yourself up a shot of whiskey with lemon and honey and warm it up. It seriously works better than Nyquil and there is nothing in it to dry up your breastmilk.

Do you think peppermint schnapps would work instead of the whiskey? lol The only alcohol we have around here is a 3 year old bottle of schnapps.

Hey Ruth, I forgot in my previous post. I bet Al wasn't folding laundry until he heard you coming down the stairs. LOL

So Miles is snotty and super coughing. Again. We can both deal with the snot but the coughing is horrible. Especially at night. I slept from 5-8 this morning (good thing he's sick so he slept in). That's it.

Is there anything I can do for the cough? Worth calling the pedi? I'm thinking no but am open to other opinions.

Last time Noelle was sick, I gave her some warm water with honey and a little lemon juice before bed and it seemed to really help her. Hope he feels better soon!

Wow, Tracy, 12 hours!! Go Lana!!! Biggrin I'd totally nurse every 2 hours if it meant my boys would sleep at night. Wait, i already do nurse every 2 hours. LOL I'm going to give them a pep talk tonight - if a baby younger than them can sleep all night, they can, too!!! Actually, Micah did great last night... back to his almost normal self, which is to sleep from 8:30pm-ish until shortly after 6am, nurse, then sleep for another hour or so and nurse again. This morning he nursed that second time and then decided to sleep until 10:30am. Unreal. But he and Noelle were awake in their bed/crib until 10:30pm last night, even though we put them down at 8:30pm. They kept waking each other up... but at least they were pretty much always happy.

Gotta love self-parenting. lol We always have the same conversation with Noelle after she's done with time out - a few weeks ago, I was running around like crazy dealing with the boys, so I just told Noelle she could get down. She said, "Noelle, why were you in time out?" ROFL

So today is our anniversary (9 years! :yahoo:) and I feel so bad because EVERY time my DH tries to surprise me with something, someone ruins it. We've been hemming and hawing about what to do, not wanting to leave all three kids with someone, but then still wanting to do something. And DH has a rehearsal tonight, so that makes it even more complicated. Anyway, last night we just decided to figure it out later. But this morning I thought we needed to do SOMETHING. So I called our friend who has baby-sat Noelle a few times and left a message for her. Then i called another friend to see if her teenage daughter would at least just hang out here after we put the kids to bed tonight and we could maybe go get coffee or something. My friend answered the phone and after she explained that her daughter was out of town, she said, "Right before you called, I got this confusing text from Al. He said, "Tell Ruth Bethany can't baby-sit. What's that all about?" Ooops. Anyway, so much for surprises. lol

Awe Karina, you sound absolutely miserable, but I still enjoy the humor you can find to impart to us. :bighug: And I don't care how you look or that you are 'just' a SAHM now, but before kids you were most definitely posh and since I still like to define myself as I was before kids, then I think you should too.

Mel I got my info from Dr. Google, where everyone gets their medical expertise! So is that yes you'd start him now, you'd wait to see if it really develops, or what?

Allie yeah that us hot fir a baby!

Karina, screw the house, take care of yourself!!! It'll all work out, but don't screw with your health!!

I will say one thing about pink eye... The goopy green grossness went away for my first eye within the first 12ish hours of taking the drops. The redness and my first eye looks like it is bleeding  is still hanging around Sad The pain also went away after I started the drops.

see...the fill in pediatrician (not the one we usually see) said that he thought theirs was from a viral and it 'could' turn bacterial so he gave us the drops only to use if it was getting worse (which it didn't...just took a long time to go away but never got any worse)...and they weren't super horribly goopy or green like i've seen alot of pink I ...they just had yellowish goop that i would wipe away and it would be ok for a while then come back.....he said if i used the drops on a viral conjunctivitis it wouldn't do any good ...idk...that's just what he told me
