My Dh and I met online so he can't say anything about this Smile Plus he's a part of some silly Canadian Gun Nuts forum lol

Maybe everyone should start sending Mel's DH facebook friend requests - he'd wonder where all these sexy ladies were coming from!

Ugh, I'd love to chime in while everyone complains about the heat! This time of year gets to be brutal here, it's been 110+ most days for a few months now. It won't start to cool down until the end of September. Imagine the end of January for those of you in the cold. I'm going completely stir crazy because we never get outside! Even in the evenings it's uncomfortable most nights.

Pax just got over the flu, I think. Fever for 4 days, sore throat, headache. Poor guy. We haven't left the house the whole time so we're all going a little crazy. I think we'll get out tomorrow though, that'll help a lot.

I just skimmed older posts, but I did come across the pics of baby Sarah & Colleen. Awesome pictures! Amazing how much Sarah looks like you! Love it.

Glad today was a bit better Candace. How is Wade doing with his formula?

So you're getting knocked up, Peg? Wink Nice!

MMmmm, cheesecake. I can't even look at it or I'll end up with the need for a midnight snack. Funny, I looked at the clock as I typed that and it's exactly midnight.

It's good to see you out on FB Mel! Maybe you need to join Google + instead, it's really easy to organize who sees what when you're there. Every time you post something, you specify who can see it. I'm trying so hard to recruit people there so I can use it more. Smile Maybe I'm talking out my ar$e because I didn't read back far enough to get all the privacy detail. lmao

Crap, I wanna read more but I'd better go. Pax will be sure to wake me up at the crack of dawn, it's already making me tired!

Glad yesterday wasn't too bad Candace!!! Oh I have a can of Alimentum still that's good til October, want me to send it to try it out? I really hope the soy does the trick and he's good with it!

Marcie that workout sounds crazy! Not tired of hearing about the heat and drought, it's so bad this year in the midwest. At 5:15 this morning heard a big BOOM that woke me up...RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went outside and stood in it enough to have to change my shirt lol!

Talking about having to explain to other people...I have NOT told IRL friends about the board...I'll say oh this friend went thru the same thing, or that friend tried this and it worked....and the IRL friend will say oh I'd love to meet your friend, etc....WELL, I would love to meet them too lol! I just say oh they don't live around here...more often than not hhaaaa!

Wendy glad Pax is starting to feel better, hope you get out!

Kaley holy heck that recipe looks AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Colleen you crazy bird, what were you doing up so late!!!!!

My mom sent me a big box of clothes for C & D from a nice consignment store by her....the clothes for D are so cute! I mentioned gymboree once, now that's all she sends lol...the winter stuff is cute, I think it's from the last couple years...the black dress has the little scottie dogs all over it, there's a brown dress with various little dogs bouncing around, a courderoy brown dress with short sleeves and a pink and brown flannel-y material short sleeve dress as well. For now is this short sleeved but long leg pink one piece with the weiner dogs all over it and some pink bubble thingy. The dresses are all 12m which I'm scared to try on because as of now I'm pretty sure they won't fit her arms!

Jules - hope the clothes fit her. I think I bought Grace that weiner dog one you were talking about.

Colleen - yummm nutella

CAndace - How's WAde doing with the formula?

Marcie - Holy Workout Woman! I might have done ONE of those. Going to my classroom is on my to do list for next week. It might take me one day just to rearrange furniture since the custodians basically picked something up and chucked it any which way they felt. Last I looked I had desks everywhere, a file cabinet in the middle of the room...Grace and I had move things just to make a path to my cupboard so I could get a book. It will be fun times.

Peg - I agree...start a working on #3

Wendy - Hope you are able to get out of the house today and Pax feels better.

Allright going to try and do this without multiquoing. ROFL

First, my privacy settings have been set to 'friends only', like forever. I just get a ton of stuff from people that AREN'T on my list but are friends of other people. And then last night, Rick told me he's been stalking my page for a long time. I was like you couldn't see anything and he said, yes I could, I could see it all. All the posts, everything. And that freaked me out, because I don't want nosey stalker birds stalking me, and if I've set my privacy settings for people not on my list to NOT see then they shouldn't be able to. Oooooooh. It just occured to me that he was probably actually signing into my account. LOL

Anyway, I've mentioned things about all of you here and there. He just doesn't 'get' the magnitude of this board. And I have tried to explain it, but he doesn't care to 'hear' it.

Colleen, I LOVE nutella too. Strange, I'm out of it. Better get some more, Jax used to eat bananas and nutella all the time. Don't even want to think about cheescake with nutella. Yum.

Marcie, I'll complain right along with you on the heat. We've been under heat advisories since mid-june. Going outside after 10:00am and before 6:00pm is a joke. Thankfully it does cool off here to a 'tolerable' level in the evening. But, yes like Wendy, we are also going stir-crazy. Great job with all the work you got done yesterday.

Julie, you have Teenie Weenie Puppy. I HAVE to get Abs some TWP. LOVED it on Jax, it was my favorite NB line of all times. And, we had the scottie dogs last winter. SO cute. AND standing in the rain? LOVE it. That's Awesome. LOL

And that's all I remember.

Mel, I don't really know how much I dropped off.

I had about 300 coat hangers and just a few toys (mostly rattles and such) - priced mostly $1.00 - $3.00 - nothing priced over $10.00 ... everything was available for 50% on half price day.

Tracy I forgot to answer your question. I knew DH had a facbook page. He set it up at the insistence of TweedlDee's DH when they did their big 'out west' motorcycle trip last fall. But, like me he really olny ever had 3 people on his friends list for a very long time. LOL Then, like me it has slowly evolved. I had forgot he had a page until yesterday when I was looking at his nieces page and saw him as a 'friend' recommendation. ROFL

So I think I sold $715ish - minus the $15 fee - minus 33.33% = $460 ... not too shabby.

I spent $350 on all their winter clothes, but the extra $100 will be good for our hospital travelings!

It is really a much larger check than what I was expecting, and there is a chance that I'll get a check from two more sales. :woohoo: I wouldn't expect either of those checks to be more than $50 at the most.

So, 5:30 am. I'm sound asleep. SURPRISE MOMMY!!! IT'S YOUR PRETEND BIRTHDAY!!!

Took a few years off my life I'm sure.

Oh, and all day yesterday - "I'm gonna sleep in my new room tonight!!" Bedtime - "I think I want to sleep in the big bed with you, Mom."

For those of you who have transfered LO's out of toddler beds - what size? Twin? Full? Bigger? If you have a twin of full do you think you'll have to get them a bigger bed when they're teenagers?

Really unhealthy. salt and pepper some flour, beat an egg, slice the stuff about a 1/4", dip in egg, coat in flour and fry it in butter.

Have you tried allrecipes.com?

Oh Em, Jax has 2 twins in his room, one is an extra long. I have no idea what will end up needing to be done. I am thinking that by late teenager years the boy will be too big for a twin, but we have 2 other queen size beds we could switch with him.

Emily, Happy pretend birthday :cake: Gweny has a full size bed (because I have to sleep in there with her  and Bradley has a twin.

Mel, my DH is the same way, just doesn't get the magnitude of the "baby blog" as he calls it.

Julie, sounds like you got some cute clothes from MIL! Can't wait to see them on miss D. Love your new siggy too! I can't believe she can stand  JD can't even sit up very well yet.

Colleen, I can't believe she has lady parties at your house. You should've snagged up all their whisky and made a whisky sour for yourself Wink Would've made raking all those acorns a lot more interesting, lol.

Deb, has Grace been sleeping in later since you have been at your parent's house?

Wendy, I hope Pax feels better and you are able to get out of the house today.

Candace, $460 is a pretty sweet deal! Glad yesterday wasn't too bad and that Wade is doing well with the formula. Love the pic of Cadence in her weiner dog hat.

Ugh, trying to get myself motivated to go run this morning but I just can't do it....

Candace, that is awesome. Did I already say that? I can't remember what I've posted and what I haven't. You did great. Last spring, most of Abs newborn stuff and Jax's infant stuff. Dropped off about $1200 and got a check for $420 and picked up a bunch of stuff. I wasn't donating J&J. LOL

Colleen - no clue on the zucchini. All I got for you is bread and you've done that.

Emily - Well happy pretend birthday then. And Grace is in a queen because that was what we already had.

Allie - have fun with those stripes

Emily - any motivation yet? Grace has slept in to past 7 twice since we've been here. Mostly she's been getting up around 6:30. She's going to bed anywhere between 8:30 and 9and it takes her anywhere between 30 seconds to 5 minutes (last night was a bit longer) to fall asleep because she plays so hard with Landon.

Colleen.. I know you have a load of muffins so maybe in a bread form but I make chocolate chip zucchini bread and it's quite good

Zucchini fries

have you ever done hollowed out zucchini boats filled with cheese and chicken and whatever you have on hand.. hang on I will find a image for you.. the image alone made me try them!

My sister is taking Owen for a one on one day today... to a pool for swimming (I do not think she knows what she is in for LOL) and frozen yogurt and lunch..
I am going to take E to costco and get some meatage (I buy chicken there)

Allie DYING to see the outcome!

Did I mention DH took tomorrow off to go to Marine World Six Flags Smile Owen is into killer whales for some reason and so we are crossing this off the summer list and taking him to the amusement park.. it's like any park except this has animal flare to it.. killer whales, dolphins etc... should be awesome.. long day though we have to drive over and hour to get there and all day in and drive home. Dirol our weather has been mild here (sorry girls!) low 80 or high 70's so should be perfect!

I love when DH takes random days off.. he is such a good dad.

Just a thought Jules, but do you think he will still fit in it when he heads off to college? I'm not so certain. Both my DSS's were too big for sleeping in a twin bed on a nightly basis by the time they were 17. It was ok a night or 2 at g-mas etc. But not very comfy for them at all. And with the foot size of Jax and C, we can almost bet they will both be pretty tall boys. I guess it'd no worse than a college bunk, though. Hmmmm, now you got me thinking.

Glad to hear wade is doing well with the soy formula, Candace. Thats good news.

Im doing well, Colleen, thanks. Still lurking as usual. This week we are on vacation with the in-laws (MIL, FIL, SIL and niece and nephew). Hypothetically speaking, the following are things that drive me crazy:

You child asks (with manors) for help cutting up food, and you sit on the couch assuming someone else will do it.

Your child asks to play his/her DSi and you tell him no, not until after XX time, all the while never looking up from your own DSi.

there is more, but i have to go... little eyes~!==

Mel you are absolutely right lol! When DH lays in the twin with Colby, he's got about a good 5 inches of foot hanging off lol! Well, at any rate, I'm sure there's a good 10 years on that mattress lol!!! So whatcha thinking about, doing a bigger bed now? There's a XL twin as well...haven't looked up how much longer that bed is

Oh NO Emily!!! :bigarmhug:

The new bedroom sounds so cute Allie! Can't wait to see pics of the finished product. I've seen lots of cute nautical things on Etsy if you are still looking for stuff.

Congrats on the Job offer Paula! Even if its not exactly what you are looking for - it's reassuring to know it's there if you need it and it's nice that she is being so flexible.

Hope your day goes well Kelly!

Can't remember what else I wanted to comment on...

I really want to get a DSLR Camera and a local photographer is selling the one I want at a really great price .... just emailed and waiting to see if it's still available. I'm usually a little worried about making such a big purchase second hand, but I can just bad mouth her on her facebook business page if she rips me off right? LOL JK

we got our DSLR from a local photographer and have been really happy with it.

YAY PJ!! That's awesome. I can imagine that it such a weight off of your shoulders. And awesome that they are flexible and understanding about the possibility of an interview.

Have you ever heard an elephant trying to tip toe??? No? Come over here and you'll see. Lana has been taking such a good nap - she's been out like a light for the past 1.5 hours (SO RARE for her). And my FIL decides he has to get the clothes out of the dryer. Right now. Right away. And guess where the freaking laundry room is...in the basement, down wooden steps. Right next to where Lana is sleeping. Heavy footsteps, doors slamming, him coughing. Ugh. Really?! He couldn't have waited just a little longer for her to wake up? He tries to be quiet, but it's a lot like an elephant trying to tip toe. Drives me nuts. I keep reminding myself that we are out of here in 4 days.

ugh, that sucks. Sad 3 more days, right??

TWINS! Smile i guess the really tall people just curl up... but i took naps on a twin with DH before we got married so it's not like one person can't fit, even a tall one. lol

so our neighbor across the street is a really sweet old lady... gives N old books and little gifts at holidays, etc. i knocked on her door yesterday, but no answer. called her this morning and left a message. her car is in the driveway, today's paper on the lawn, didn't take her trash cans down. i spoke with her next door neighbor who said he saw her DD's car there in the past few days... i saw it, too, so maybe she's out of town, i hope. i did open her mail slot and didn't see or hear her dog. not sure how long i should wait before doing something else... although not sure what to do next? ideas?

ok, i'm typing onehanded and my arm is starting to ache. lol

Ruth, I swear you won't bleach his pants with the oxy soaks, as long as you don't take the pants out of the soak and let them dry without rinsing them first. I have soaked plenty of kids clothes for several days, changing the water each day.

OhMyGoodness. RUTH I just remembered what I forgot I wanted to ask you the other night. How's the hemmie? ANd I still haven't gotten an answer about the stain on DH's pants.

is it legal for these two questions to be asked at the same time???? lol j/k

Well, DH will be home today!!! i am so excited! :lovebed: woot woot woot
He should be leaving McMurray right about now, so he should be getting here around noonish... just in time for a nooner Smile
I have to clean the kitchen and do a bit more laundry before he gets home (and shower and shave lol something I don't often do while he's gone)
Then we get to switch the car seats to the truck and drive to Red Deer for my sister's birthday... I didn't even get her a present, or make her a cake Sad I feel like a horrible sister. But after the "argyle" cake I made, it did me in and I haven't wanted to make a cake since... that was back in April. I've made 1 cake since then, and not because I wanted to. I feel badly though, I should WANT to make cakes for my loved ones, but I just don't. I made cupcakes for my kids this year (except emma) because i didn't want to deal with cakes.
OT... hunny is bringing me back a wii Smile (Aj broke ours when he decided it'd be fun to put tiny little playing cards inside the CD rom of it... fun times)
Anyhow... I've been writing this comment for about 2 hours now, so i should just submit it and get on with the laundry that I've been going back and forth on LOL.

Jules, Jax has 2 twins in his room one is an xl.

So, I wouldn't recommend speaking pig latin to a 3 yo with speech issues. All I said was ixnay the uttbay alktay, would you, please? His eyes got HUGE and he burst out into sobs and told me over and over 'I don't like that, I don't like that' all while sobbing his guts out. Then he ran into my lap and told me to not laugh. I couldn't help it, I had no idea it would freak him out that bad.
