Colleen, I didn't KNOW there were $1 workbooks. Where did you find those? Ours are the fancy schmancy ones- first she got a Mickey Mouse one w stickers from her aunt, and then we bought 2 more. If you also don't mind, sending me the link or letting me know where I can find those homeschooling sites? What I can do is print them out and put them in a small binder I have here at work.

Also UGH on the wasted dr visit, I hate those. Just give me something, d%^#mit, to make the visit worthwhile!

Ben keeps pulling Belles kitchen over, but he is trying to climb on it. Its the same kitchen in your sig. I hope he learns because I dont want to bolt it to the wall.
Colleen, hope you get Dhs ears taken care of, or whatever it is.no fun being dizzy.

Waiting for Peg to poas. (been lurking)

Kat, youre not a bad momma!! Belles language has only recently exploded.
We watched tinkerbell last night and I asked Belle what they were doing in the movie. 3 mo ago she would have said doing... 6 weeks ago, flying, yesterday, theyre flying like a bird!
Speech can change so quickly.. Dont worry...and dont worry about tge p perfectly clean house... Mine definitely isn't...

Haven't done work books with Belle, but I've thought about it.

Big hugs to Candace!!

Goin home tomorrow I think, with yhe possibility of coming back next week

Before I forget, did Emily (c3) post yesterday? I'm sorry my brain is in a fog - how did Miles do last night?

Kat, I was going to say the same thing that Colleen said.

Candace, I had 2 clients that went through chemo and radiation. I agree with your mom. One client did a super duper short cut, the other opted for me to come to her house and buzz her. It wasn't quite so depressing to find little short hairs on the pillow and in the shower as it would have been to find long luxurious locks.

My mom buzzed hers the second and third time, but I'm not that brave (yet).

mr. walker is just hilarious to watch........still got the drunken sailor legs on!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!! but he walks more andmore now, and crawls way less!!!!!!!!!!

we have a ton of workbooks.........all different kinds.......none of the fancy schmancy ones that cost 5 bucks .........just the $1 ones for joblot.........LOL.....but if you play on the computer.... i also print out worksheets all.the.time..........there are a ton of free "homeschooling" sites all over the internet.......i've posted all the links before.......and there all great websites that are free for kids to play on and are learning sites......not gamer sites.......

candace.........my moms friend she used to work with was over the other day (whiskey girls from the other day) and she buzzed her hair in anticipation of her chemo.......she is 3 years out of her treatment and looks absolutley fantastic.....hair looks great too!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!! she had a wig, and she said it made her feel so much better wearing the wig into her treatments........cuz she said she didn't look sick....so it made her feel less sick.........i may have grilled her and asked her way too many questions about her journey while i was raking acorns.......but she was getting buzzed on whiskey.....so it was fair game!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!

lol - so she kept her hair really short after the treatments? My mom's hair is pretty short now, too -

Guess what is scheduled for delivery at 10:30 today?! :woohoo:

i wasn't there.......so i'm not sure what the docs thinking was........but an inner ear infection is different than an ear infection that the kids get...........so off of the symptoms that danny presented......i guess that is how he came to the conclusion.......not sure though.........i believe the inner ear infection is caused by labrynthitis.......which you can't see...

I did not know this. I thought inner ear infections were just that, an infection within the Eustachian Tube, and were just more common in children because their tube was smaller and more horizontal so didn't allow for proper fluid drainage. So, I just assumed that as an adult we were able to get the same infection, just not as common. Learn something new every day. Smile

Sorry, didn't have a chance to read back.

Yesterday I was lazy - M went to camp in the am then I got him to take a nap so I had a whole 5 HOURS to myself (I read trashy books). Then went to a party last night.

Gave him choices of what to do today so we're going to the movies - Winnie the Pooh (I've decided to skip Cars 2 and the violence I've heard about). He's been asking to leave for the last hour and the movie doesn't start until 12:05 and the theater is 5 minutes away. So, yeah, another hour of asking.

He at veggies from my friends garden as we picked them so since he has his veggies in him we'll get popcorn for lunch, lol.

Try to catch up this afternoon.

Aw, Candace I think they really will enjoy it. :bigarmhug:

Colleen thanks for all those sites! I had a lot bookmarked, but going to save the rest of the ones I don't! I'm so old fashioned though, loooooooove that so many of the things are printable...I like to have paper in front of me..but need to buck up since computers are in a lot of preschools now and the kid DOES love his MM clubhouse games on disney!

Yay setting up a meeting at the hospital where D was born for the insurance muck up...they did a contract change AFTER we paid the bill off and charged us an additional $300 that will go to collections soon since I refuse to pay it based off of principle. So anyway, at least they've listened to me squawk enough questioning the legality of retroactively billing a closed account!

I have a question about Starfall. Do you pick the letter or do you let Jax pick a letter on the keyboard?

Can't keep up for the life of me!

I'm sweating...I'm usually 28-30 day cycles. Day 35 here, nausea. I had a tubal, so I'm pretty darn sure I'm just late, but I've got the heebee jeebies. I take a med that is NOT baby friendly, so before my second dose on Saturday if af doesn't show, I'm POAS. Peg and I can sweat it out together!

I let Jax pick out every other letter. Mostly because we always have a few letters that we are trying to 'drill' that week and he needs the repetition. Plus, he has his favorite letters that he like the software for. G-Z-D- just to name a few, have fun little extra activities at the end and he likes these activities.

Julie, good for you for fighting that bill!!! That is so wrong!

Awww Candace I'm sorry about not being able to pick the kids up. Sad :bigarmhug: I'm so glad to hear though you'll have help. Mmmmmm love me some Kraft M&C!!!!!! And I can't wait for the iPad report!!

Peg that's such great news about the last radiation treatment!!! I hope she stays in the clear! That super sucks about Ty getting up sooooo early...and especially him going back to sleep on the couch! Sleep training SUCKS so bad, and it's soooooo hard. Just take it slow girl! That picnic sounds awesome!!!! Hope you win something!

Hmmmm must check out the MJ line that I'll only see in pictures lol!

Mel could you make one 'special' purchase knowing that you'd be able to resell it? And then if you wanted more look into selling off some of the other MJ stuff?

Karrie, how's your back been lately?

ms Emily those 5 hours you had sound delightful!

Peg, that is awesome about BILs niece. I hope she remains healthy. Smile

Jules, no can do. Remember that overwhelming list of expenses? Yep, still dealing with all that, and it will take me several payperiods to recover. I even transferred $200 out of my paypal account into our regular checking just so I wouldn't have to use anymore of our savings. Sad So, nope. If I want new MJ, I've got to sell something to fund it.

Afternoon! Peg might be knocked up? Whaaa...?

I've had no time to read OR post these days, JH has strep and a virus of some sort, Jay has a virus and a huge canker sore inside his top lip and hasn't nurses for 3 days now. Sadly, I think it's the end ... :(. I've been pumping and feeding him in a zippy cup, but I can tell that my supply has gone waaay down.

And we're still doing CIO, he cries anywhere from 10-30 mins before falling asleep and wakes and cries throughout the night.... it's so hard. And the turd won't nap... in 11 months I've never been able to put him down for a nap. I've tried everything but the kid is so hard-headed. So instead of napping, he just fusses all afternoon. Won't sleep in the stroller or the swing, can't even hold him and rock him to sleep... He just acts aggravated .

Alright, gonna try to read back more.

Jen - Sorry about the sickies. And maybe the end of nursing will be a good thing and it'll trigger something and he'll start sleeping better. That said, I napped with Miles until he turned a year old but I didn't have another kid to take care of.

Miles is doing well with PT. Pooping in a diaper/pullup when he has one one which I don't really mind. And if he does have a pullup on, there's no way he's going on the potty, so...good, I think.

The spot behind his ear looks better, too. I doubled the amount of neosporin I was putting on and it seems much better (used a larger amount and more often).

Oh, and we've yet to have a repeat performance of sleeping in his own bed.

That said, we went to see Winnie the Pooh and then walked to Marshall's which was next to the theatre. He was doing well, then FLIPPED that we had to wait in line to buy his new underpants. So, we left (without the underpants). He was so upset that I really thought he was going to make himself sick.

Anyway, 2 minutes in the car and he's out cold.

So...I guess we're back to napping again.

Peg, my daughter does that...she gets up but then falls back asleep on the couch. Drives me crazy because when she gets up, so does DJ...and he is ACTIVE in the morning! Glad to hear that BIL's neice is done Tx!

Mel, you must share pics of this MJ. I have yet to venture onto that page as we are saving to renovate our main bath and kitchen - so clothes are out of the question at the moment. Mel, I'm 38.

Ruth, is your neighbour okay?

Candace, so sorry that you can't pick the kids up! I recommend sitting on the floor, it works for everyone! Glad that Wade weaned well for you...I love your blog! Can't wait to hear what you think of the iPad Smile

Word work wise, we don't do anything organized yet. She still has a great deal of difficulty with new sounds and resists all attempts to get her to repeat etc. However, she is now counting to five (in Spanish, silly girl) so I'm hoping that as her language comes along, she will show that she actually knows some of those things. We do point out letters a lot, and she went through a fascination phase with the alphabet...and she uses the tune of ABCs to sing to herself a lot...so I'm hopeful!

I know that the likelyhood of being preg is very very low...but I can't figure out what is going on. This has happened once before and it was nothing...annoying. I wouldn't worry about it, if I am, I am, but this med is very very bad for little ones, so if by some miracle I am, then I need to know soon. I refuse to POAS until I absolutely have to...as soon as I buy one, I will start.

Gotta finish what I'm working on. Don't want to, but must. Classes will start before I want them to, lol!

Mel....you called it!!! Should we wish Peg a HH9Ms yet?

I would nap and sleep with Jay forever but without nursing, he won't even consider laying quietly next to me. And even with the boob , the boy never really seemed to sleep. He'd nurse all night and kick and wake and fuss and sit up to fuss more . The only reason I've resorted to CIO is because he's clearly sleep deprived.

Hey Ladies Smile

Didn't get a chance to read back too far ....

Thanks for all the websites Colleen, I'll have to check them out! Madelyn loves playing on the computer - we only use a laptop and it just astounds me how well she can navigate around with the mouse on this thing. Starfall is great - I think I'll start setting a time everyday for it. She really likes to play on thisisdanielcook.com, it's not very educational though. I also think he's an annoying brat, but I don't tell her that:rolleyes:

Candace - that will be tough with the no lifting, but I'm glad you will have some help.

Hey Preggo Peg Smile

Strange night over here .... at around 2am our doorbell rings. We live in an okay area, but not the greatest so there is no way we are going to open the door if there is someone there that we don't know. DH looks out the peephole and no one is there. 5 minutes later the doorbell rings again - no one there. A few minutes later - rings again and no one is there. Now I am getting super creeped out and he's just getting mad so he opens the window and yells - Who's there? Of course no one answers. So we go to bed...... then at 6am the doorbell starts again! Between 6-7am it rang about 5 times and then nothing. After doing some extensive research (google) we figure there must be a short in the wiring or something. I think I was extra creeped because a friend of mine was just attacked in her home by a guy who rang the doorbell and she answered it.

I feel so tired today though, DH just took Maddie out for lunch and to the park. Tristan just went for a nap and I think I may try too .... as long as the doorbell doesn't ring

You're waiting on the referral, Mel?

I haven't even ventured onto the MJ page. Haven't had time.

Between the blog and trying to keep my house clean for random visitors I've had much less "surf the net" time!

Shannon, there are diff types of breast cancers, but as far as I know, only the ones that test positive for being caused by hormone receptors are the ones they don't treat with chemo. There was never any questions that I would have chemo...just what kind of chemo and when (before or after surgery) - ALSO, I do have some abnormal lymph nodes. Biopsies Monday for that. They are likely affected. So not sure if I am at a Stage 2 or Stage 3 cancer. Blech.

PEG, girl. You are knocked up.

Jen, I am really hoping that when you wean your little guy that he magically starts sleeping for you. That happened with Ella, and now Wade too!

Got my IPAD plugged in and charging now. Yahoo

Kaley, That is SUPER freaky. Would have had me paranoid too, not to mention TICKED OFF.

Candace, my pedi sent a referral to this HUGE pediatric center in Louisville. Their procedure is to send the referred patient this huge pre-registration packet that we fill out and return, then they cal with the appointment (usually months out). I haven't received the packet yet and the referral was made Tuesday July 5th.
