It was a few pages ago (that's how quickly I'm moving today) but Miles loves to paint - well, he loves to mix all the colors and make brown.

But, I've found washable paint at the Dollar store so I don't care how much he uses really!

Finishing up "rest" time - he's watching Busytown.

His highness never wanted to get dressed today so we never went to the park. I'm going to force him outside when Busytown ends. It's a lovely 75 degrees with a breeze today!!

Mel I think you are thinking of Jennifer going to the park, although I said we were supposed to as well....but just ended up going outside because it looked like it was going to rain again.

Ahhhh yes Jenn.

Candace, hope that's a friendly wave hello and not a histile one. Wink Are you still in recovery weaning yourself off the sleepy drugs, or are you home?

Have no idea what I'm going to do for dinner. Why have I been waiting until 3:00 to figure this out when everything is in the freezer?

Emily, if it's any consolation, Abigail is in a pajama top and a diaper.

All this pulling back the penis talk makes me glad I had a girl.

Vera - :bigarmhug:

hmm..on the painting front. Grace paints with whatever. Usually it's washable, but a few times I've grabbed acrylic paints and let her go to town. She didn't really make a mess with it because she was using a balloon as her paint brush. Her craft of choice lately is glue sticks. I can give the child ripped up construction paper and she'll just glue and glue and glue. Which reminds me glue sticks are on sale at Walgreens.

Jenn - hope you enjoyed the park

Peg - I hear you on winning the nap. We first attempted nap at 1 but all she wanted to do was have alone time. She kicked me out. Then she managed to get the childproof door thingy off. Good thing I heard her open the door. She finally consented to a nap when she threw herself into the fetal position and cried over something stupid. Currently she is still sleeping.

:wavehello: Candace - hope you are feeling okay today.

Im so frustrated with work right now, I just need to vent. I realize no one cares or is even going to understand what Im saying so feel free to skip ahead and ignore:

Key deliver@bles were released today for the last 6 months. Thats right, we dont know until AFTER what they are marking (ie- what my bonus is based on). So irritating. Well, one of the markers is how many Zost.avax vaccines we did. Seriously?! This is a $200 shot. Even with Medi.care is like a $75 copay. In my area particularly (think CHEAPOS!) this is not a big hit with the age group its intended for. Ive done 3. I was pretty impressed with 3. Apparently company average is 10. So, I missed the mark. So irritating because in other clin.ical services (ie- things that actually HELP the patients, but dont necessarily make the company tons of $$$) we have done amazing. Just so frustrating to work so hard to help people with no recognition.

Is this forum seachable from google??

Grrr. Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled chatter.

Gotta finally check out pinterest!!

Colleen sounds like a great night!!!!!!!!!! Dinner, boat, cards and drinking....heaaaaaaaaaaaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan you silly bird!! What do you mean no one cares! Anyway, that's just plum stupid, telling you after the fact what's marked. Wouldn't it be smarter to know ahead of time, so you could market things more??? Or I guess that's the no no now, pushing something for the sake of pushing it. But at any rate, picking a product that sounds like its next to impossible even if you wanted to market it...dumb! I'm sorry girl! I think this comes up if you search on "pregnancy april 08", at least that's how I get to it from Swagbucks.

Deb, well, I guess at least Grace is napping, that's a win! Sorry it was such a struggle though!

Jan - I'm sorry!

It wasn't really a struggle with Grace...just that I knew she needed to nap and really wanted to do other things.

Kelly..yes I saw that. No clue what is going on with it...I'll try again. Says to refresh and then nothing.

Ok, Jax just woke up from a 3 hour nap. At first he was fine, but then he started getting upset about every little stupid moronic thing. For instance, I can't put batteries in a matchbox car. Then he got really upset that Abigail was playing with her basketball hoop. Then he said "my momma, my belly hurts really bad." He just kkept crying and getting very upset. I know it's coming, but to date he hasn't told me he didn't feel good when he hasn't.

Kelly I still have the invite from Allie, I've just not done it yet lol! Wait, do the invites maybe expire? I should check! I'm just afraid I'll spend wayyyyyyyyyyy too much time on it!

So did you do the chair or is on the to do list? I love it!

I have to tell you guys this...I have this friend who is so super fit, she's 29 and has the body anyone would envy, perfectly muscular, about zero fat, she wears no makeup and is just gorgeous. Anyway, it's her birthday and she posted what she wanted her dinner to be....grilled chicken and vegetables with a fresh fruit salad for dessert. Perfectly delicious dinner, but I just LOL'd that another healthy meal was her birthday choice, no cake, nothing decadent or fatty. The funny thing is, she is the type person where being healthy and fit is just a way of life, not a struggle or anything. Gee, maybe that's why I struggle with my whale-ness and eat healthy only when I realize I've eaten crappy for too many days in a row lol!

Check out the new Woody Allen movie. I forget the name and I'm just assuming () it's still in theaters. But by far the best W.A. movie I've ever seen - I'm not a huge fan, but I thought this was really entertaining, no boring parts. Something about Paris at Midnight or something like that...

(Washable paint of course)

I really really despise letting him.. it's so messy.. the colors always get mixed up and end up brown and its incredibly wasteful how much is "lost"

alas he is out back now painting (naked) and he is so happy

Noelle loves to paint. Watercolors are her favorite (and mine, easy clean up! lol). She paints something nearly every day.

Gently. For us, it wasn't a traumatic or torturous ordeal at all. The dr caught it when the adhesion was juuuuuust starting. He just said that while I was cleaning him, to just kind of pull/push the skin of his penis down toward the base (imagine putting a condom on). It became part of our cleaning process and that was it - never any discomfort or issues. It's not like you are really pulling a piece of skin back as much as you are just making sure the looser penis skin doesn't stick to the head, kwim?

Thanks you, totally makes sense.

Hey Ruth, I just watched your video. Do you think he's just tired of purees? Both my kids did this, didn't want anything to do with me feeding them something from a spoon. They wanted to self feed and they wanted things to mash around in there mouth. By 10months, both were completely feeding themselves table food and had been for a long time. Have you tried busting away from the 'babyfood'?

ROFL Oh, I've tried. You know how handy it would be if my boys could feed themselves??!?!? They get stuff on their tray every time I feed them. Brian eats everything I put on his tray. Micah is like Noelle was with texture, but thankfully not nearly as bad. He still loves pureed food, but he really, truly is a picky eater already. Case in point: the other night I had peas and diced up green beans on his tray. He ate a few and then whined and whined. I knew he was hungry, but couldn't figure out why he wouldn't eat. As an experiment, I put a few puffs on his tray. Dug through all the peas and green beans to get to the puffs, gobbled them up ONLY, then whined for more. Sorry, kiddo, you're not going to eat nothing but puffs for dinner!! And even with the purees, he only likes fruit (except avocado) and carrots and squash. The kid won't eat anything green!! The reason he didn't want to eat the oatmeal and applesauce this morning is because I gave them regular 'adult' oatmeal for the first time today, and he didn't like the texture of it ONE BIT. He did eat some, I just thought it was funny the way he would eat a bite or two and make faces and be all pissy, but as soon as he saw a cheerio or puff, he would get all excited. He's getting broccoli tonight. I hope he likes it.

Jan, so sorry. That is so frustrating!

Scary moment of my day...

AJ and the girls opened the living room window after hearing the ice cream truck (freakin ice cream truck) and anyhow, he was leaning against the screen and it popped out. He almost freaking fell out our window!!!!! a good 8 feet up!!!!! By the time I saw what was happening he was more than half out and he caught himself and came back in. scared the living crap out of me.

1 hr 45 min WAILING at nap time... I have no words.
while I am trying to calm her and rocking her she turns and looks at me and slaps me across the face.. I swear to god I almost lost my cool.
I had to set her down in the crib and walk away I was so angry and frustrated. (I think I set her down a tad rough) she was at the stage of crying where she is stuttering/and sobbing.. ughhh I feel like the worst mom ever right now.

she finally tuckered out but I swear it was up there in the top5 cry fests ever with her..

OMG Mel!!! I would have done the same thing! JH has been so ugly to me lately and Jay has been biting.... I find it so hard to keep my temper in check. Sorry for the rough afternoon. And I really hope Jax isn't coming down with something.

Kell....love that chair!! I just wish I had some time!

I'm sorry, Jan. I hope the venting made you feel a little better.

Penis adhesions... check, check. What a nightmare! Both boys had issues- John Henry was the worst! His poor buddy wasn't normal until he was almost a year old. And we pulled it back constantly... it just kept re-adhering. Yep... this only pertains to circ'd buddies... And leaving it alone until they start getting wood IS NOT enough in most cases! Uggh... Talking about this gets me so worked up...

Park was fun, neither boy slept and DH I'd out of town, but they're asleep now!!!! Was gonna make some penne alla vodka but when I checked the cream, it was curdled...

OMword I feel like we are so lucky to have never had any issues with adhesions especially since I had no clue we were supposed to do anything! Jeebus those poor boys!!!

Holy chit Kelly!! Girl would have done the same.thing.too, would have had to walk away for a bit. I'm sorry. Sad Do you think it's teething related at all...and I say that because of now knowing what Abs has been up to.

Jennifer, damn on the cream!!!! Hate that! How did the krispies turn out?

Peg sorry for the no listening day! Well, if you work tomorrow, I hope the patients listen to you, and if they don't, accidentally poke them hard with a needle or something lol! I swear every time I've been hurt by a nurse, it's been because of something that's got nothing to do with me lol!

Mel glad Jax seems to be feeling better, I hope it was just hunger!!!!

Ooooooo lordy Vera that sounds scary as hell!!! I am so freakin paranoid about screens, I know they sell something or other to keep them in better, or window stops that keeps the window from opening wide enough for a kid to get thru...but haven't gotten either for here.s

Thanks guys. I didnt mean that you wouldnt care about ME, just that you wouldnt necessarily care about my work/bonus. I feel almost silly complaining about a bonus when a lot of people are under employed, or unemployed. I guess thats what I meant.

And I do feel better talking about it, so thank you!!

Tomorrow Im going to the Britney concert with my sister. Im too excited for it for a 30 year old mom. I teased my sister that Im going to wear my "mom jeans" and a scrunchy. (My sis is 23 and sassy). She was not impressed.

Has anyone heard from Candace today? I saw her wave (hi!!) but how was the biopsy, that was today wasnt it? Hope it went well.

Jen, FB did the samething to me when I first tried to play that game. I think it was a temporary glitch or something cuz I tried later and it worked fine.

Hi Kat, is DH in houston for work? Didn't he go there a few months ago? School starts next week. Yahoo I tell ya, this household is Ex-Cite-Ed!!!!

Hmmm, wonder what Mildred's issue was. She was fussing and I thought she was ready for a little catnap. Nursed her and put her in her crib, normally she just rolls onto her belly and falls asleep, but she's in there chattering away. Guess she just wanted some boob juice.

Do you ever feel like you have 756 thousand IMPORTANT things to do and you on;y have time to get 3 of them done? Causes me SUPER anxiety. I'm trying to not let this happen.

Sorry I have been MIA ladies.. We have had a stomach flu rip through the house ;-( i still feel crummy, but only when I eat, lol. I see lots of chatting going on and from what I have read, stuck pee pees, jax might be sick, Everly is being an Arse, AJ almost fell out the window, Julie has an barbie doll for a friend, Brian (or Micha) is being a picky eater, Jan's job sucks, Nicole's? husband is being an ***, Pegs hubby is Mia for the evening

Colleen is laughing at all of us on vacation!!!

Kelly - Are Everly's tummy troubles all better? (Not saying that's why she was cranky, just made me think of it).

It also took me a lot of tries to spell Everly correctly (just did it again). Which reminds me that ALL DAY Miles has been trying to say "remember" and he can't pronounce it correctly. At one point he sat there for like 5 minutes just saying over and over "me-rember" and shaking his head.

Cracking me up!! I did eventually get him to say it right but it's like whenever he thinks about it he can't do it.

But this super silly thing that made me laugh got me thinking REALLY how hard it must be for kiddos with speech issues. I mean, I've known it's hard, obviously, but have never really experienced the "can't do it" before. Hats off to you Mamas!!!

oh dang...i knew I forgot something

vera...wow scary

that brings to mind .....at the shower this weekend my sis was telling me that my nieces's 2 year old fell threw a screen out of their second floor window into some bushes.....she was fine...they didn't even take her to the ER.....but this is all coming after she pulled a hot cup of tea on herself and burned her arm really bad almost requiring skin grafting, and she cut her hand really bad I don't know how though........my niece is 33 has 4 kids, planning on home schooling them but she is sooooooo blaise about everything....her older boys can be outta control sometimes and she pays them no mind so it really doesn't 'surprise' me but hopefully she'll pay more attention now

and Hi Candace...hope everythong went well today!!!!

shannon...sorry for the sickies

It was a friendly, feel-good wave for me this afternoon, but then I think I went to sleep in the chair before I wrote anything else. Vicodon (sp?) has been my friend today. They used 6 antinausea meds in my IV and for the FIRST TIME EVER with anesthesia, I did NOT wake up sick!! Yahoo I mean, I feel pretty good. It is amazing! Just sitting here chillin' with my big ole ice pack under my arm.

The only thing that went wrong was when the first put me to sleep with that "la la land" medicine they were trying to give me the spinal block and evidently I was very very very agitated in my sleep and they had to wake me up. I heard them say something about general anesthesia and finally got a grip. There were two docs in there and I declare one of them had me in a headlock so I would sit still.

But anyway, overall, not too shabby. Hmm, ignore these paragraphs if I write them again on the blog. ROFL

Okay, I did read some today during my awake times, but thank you Shannon for the Reader's Digest...haven't had one of those in a while!!! Hope your fam is better and over the stomach bug soon.

I hope all the other sick kids are better tonight, too - Wade is MUCH MUCH MUCH better tonight. Thank goodness.

Tomorrow my cousin will be here again with Callie and Regan to help me watch the kids. I'm on ANOTHER 10 day lifting restriction. So nice of them to let me crash Callie's bday party.

OH yeah, that outfit Cadence had on...hmm, I think it was Royal Child, Mel...I'll have to check and see...can't remember, but isn't it cute?!

That is some SERIOUS rain, Peg! Is that how it was where Julie and Emily and Emily are, too?
We still need a little rain around here.

Mel, my girls and Wade were loving that water table at the pool party and I couldn't believe I didn't have one yet either! What day does the consignment sale start? Are you working so you can shop early? Hope you get a good return for your $$ so you can buy a new camera (or more clothes! Wink -

Wow, busy evening. I declare, you ladies just need someone to run off at the lips and you all follow suit.

Vera, insane. I have nightmares of Jax getting his bedroom window open and falling onto our paved driveway. Pleasant thoughts, huh? Glad he caught himself.

Awe feel better soon, Shannon. Fashion advise? Boden is having a sale. LOL

Cadence, LOVED that outfit, it was adorable with a capital A!!!!

Kat are you sure this is the first trip your hubby has taken? Didn't he go somewhere right before one of the kids b-days? I distinctly remember someone complaining that their hubby was coming home from a trip and then thought he could go play poker that night. ?????????????

Kelly, been there done that. Many times. I have a temper like no one here. :bighug:

Janm, I totally get your work bonus. Sorry. Sad I do wonder if they post it after the fact so they can choose things that weren't 'hot'?????

Hmmm, I'm hungry

Jen, sorry you forgot the goods for the rice krispy thingies. Please tell me about them, what makes them so yummy? Because adding dry cake mix to rice krispy treats does not sound good. The texture just sounds all wrong.

I'm hungry. Must find something with more than 100 calories.

You can only post it as big as you originally uploaded it. Was it from your phone?

Well I see you got it figured out. I'm a dork
That is some serious rain, Lady Jane.

Candace, the sale starts the 24th. I did volunteer so I could shop at 3:00 instead of 5:00. Consignors automatically get to shop early at 5:00 the night before, but if you volunteer then you can shop 2 hours earlier.

So, made a Sam's run after dinner. got a 36 count assorted Good Humor Box. It has Ice Cream Sammies, Chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars, ice cream cones, and fudge bars. I don't like fudge bars, and I couldn't make up my mind between the other 3, so I'm having one of each.

Mel - I am working on the girls fall wardrobe.. Scored lots of stuff on Sunday with the gap 35% off online coupon.. Got ruffly cardigans in every color for Kayla, and lots of short sleeve dresses as her classroom is really, really warm in the fall/winter.

My dilemma is shoes... I always get Allie a pair (or two) of pedipeds each season. I am DONE buying tons of cheap shoes to find she won't wear them. Her wardrobe is most if the carters play line from this fall. I can't decide between the pewter or brown glitter Jayelyn. Both would match, but I feel like the silver colors go with more..

That 2 hours is HUGE for a sale like that! Have fun!

Jan, I also forgot to comment on your bonus. It isn't MY job, but yeah, they told dh like, in February they wouldn't get their bonus and it burned me up basically because it was based on a performance measure that he had no control over. Ugh. I'm sorry. Sad

And Kelly, TOTALLY have my days of frustration. Right there with you, girl!

Gotta go find Vera's story re: AJ and the screen...
