Tracy I did see the Irene track, and I'm betting we'll at least get hit with a lot of rain....my parents in SC though will probably get the cat 3 stuff. I tell ya what, the Earth is PISSED OFF lol!! Like you said it could change course quickly, but gee, you move from FL, now get earthquakes and hurricaines lol!!!
Nicole that sucks! Well I think it's still good you said something, even though a lot of the times when management, etc asks for input, they really just want confirmation of what THEY want to hear!
Colleen whoohooo for doing such an awesome drop off!!! I know it's hard though. but your things will be put to such good use and are so needed...I'm glad she's got an aunt like you who could help her out!
Candace hoping you are starting to feel a bit better. :bigarmhug: Are the kids staying at MIL's or just during the day? Is Dh working and someone staying with you? Lots of questions you really don't have to answer, just know you are being thought about and prayed for!
OMG! Daphne was sitting on the floor next to me and Colby and I notice she's chewing on something. I think she's found another cherrio that seem to attach themselves to her. I check and it's a friggin TACK! WTH! I don't have tacks!! Well, I guess I have ONE, but where the heck did it come from! Jeebus!
Childrens Discovery Museum was AWESOME!
OMG they had a whole room for crawlers! Everly went to town in there was really fun!
anyways its freakish hot here and I am sweating bullets ...
ok you rookies it was a BABY quake LOL you want a scary quake come here!
J/K if you have never felt one I bet it was a tad scary and panicky!
You sound like my brother - he's in Seattle and said the same thing 5.9 isn't huge, but it's certainly not small. I think people are freaking out bc it's just so damn rare here. They said on the news that it's something that our kids will likely not see again in their lifetime. Crazy. I agree with Julie - the Earth is pissed! lol
Yup it's totally because that never happens here, this ain't San Francisco lol!
Museum sounds fun!
Oh Tracy I just thought of it, did you ever find a school you liked for Tyler? If you already mentioned it and I missed it, sorry!!
I ended up forking over 90 bones and buying a family pass .. this place is awesome.. I see myself there so often with Everly learning to walk and play.. and on weekends taking Owen
they have this whole water room that shoots balls into water tunnels and stuff.. kiddo was soaked but having a blast putting balls into the tornado of water and having it blast off.. very cool!
AND they had a fossil of a mammoth there.. OY Owen screams "LOOK MOMMY ITS A DINOSAUR ELEPHANT!"
OMG. that's incredible  I'm so glad she's ok!!
I did! It's kind of a sore issue btw DH and me. Long story but almost all of the preschools here are affiliated with one church or another. They don't push religion although they do teach "Christian values" (being nice to each other, respect, etc). I have no problem with that...I personally think a bit of religious influence can be a good thing. DH is convinced that they will teach him against science...dinosaurs, evolution. come on dude, the kid is 3! He's going to learn how to write his name and the days of the week.
Lol Tracy!!!! Yeah same here, they are all affiliated with churches. And no I don't think they'll be much into evolution or not lol! I'm glad you found something you like! You could mess with your Dh and day after the first week they were talking to you about signing Tyler up for the priesthood or whatever the appropriate title would be lol!!!
Gee look at the post count, we are outta control!!!!
I seriously think I wait about 2 hours a day for Colby to be done pooping, and it's always before a trip out or a bath. I guess it's better than it happening at inopportune times lol!
Julie and Tracey
We ultimately signed Owen up with a Catholic school... while it is a religious school the amount of time they spend on "religion" is 15 mins a day.. it's minimal and they DO still teach evolution and dinosaurs(later years) etc..(I made sure) they describe it as teaching values and how to treat people and how to be a good person etc... which I am on board with.. and as you said we personally don't mind the small amount of religion cause we do not know much ourselves etc.. and we want them exposed. Overall I toured so many schools and NOTHING stood out like this school did.. it was AMAZING. Owen gets his own buddy a 6th grader who will be with him for the year.. his buddy will walk him to and from assemblies and other events...this buddy program was the last straw I was hooked after I saw this going on.. so cute!
I will read back when I can see..literally
I don't know what this medicine did to me today..maybe I didn't eat enough today? Maybe because I didn't wait the full 12 hours inbetween the medicine.. I have had like a glaze over my eyes the entire day. I try to focus my eyes water.. by the end of the day I felt so dizzy I have to admit I drove under the speed limit home because I was so worried with Landon in the car . I could barely see the mile markers. Ate a huge dinner and I feel a bit better.. going to bed early tonight..
ahhh I have two long days coming up and I cannot make it through them like this. I ate dinner with sunglasses on lol
ok my whine is over but I will be back when I can focus.
it wasn't AS bad as I was expecting it to be... the MIL and SIL were stuck like glue to each other, which was fine, whatev. I don't kiss a$$ so I did my own thing lol
fished like crazy!!!!! Emma's fish (rainbow trout) was the biggest of our family. 15 3/4 inches long!!!!! We had some amazing fishing. It was great family time.
gotta cook dinner. Adam leaves tonight, so I'll post more, and some pics later.
Oh and AJ caught a 13 incher too on his lil wee rod! lol so cute. I got a video of that one. hopefully I can figure out how to post those!
Missed you all!!!
The time just slips away when we are crafting. I made crayon wreath (Pinterest people maybe will know what I'm talking about...it's in my School board) but instead of kids' blocks spelling my name, I made three fabric flowers. Grace was painting, but she freaked when she saw all the crayons...I think she thought I was using hers. I'll try and post a pic tomorrow or tonight after I get Grace to bed.
Jules - A TACK? At least she didn't swallow it. Maybe it dislodged somewhere after all the stuff fell off your walls/shelves????
Kelly - Owen is going to love that. Grace loved our Children's museum too. She was particularly fond of the pretend vet office. Everly and Owen are going to have some awesome memories.
Mel - I want to see what you bought!!!
So Dh booked a getaway for us! I had no idea.. it's been about 2 years since we have gone anywhere just us...
My mom is watching the kids and we are going to SF for a full day Friday.. overnight .. dinner and going to a live music something for dancing! I do not know the details but he did send me a email stating what I need to wear for each part of the event..LOL awesome I LOVE to dance when I'm drinking hee hee YAY!
Then spending part of the day in SF Saturday .. we will have Sat night and all Sunday with the kiddos... ladies this will be my FIRST sleep in, in over a year! but also my first night away from Everly.
Everything is planned right down to the breakfast place for Saturday morning .. gotta love the over organized person he is sometimes!
I have 10 more pounds to go .. and now I have the goal of that date!

awesome.......check your season pass and see if it can be used at any other location.....my zoo pass gives me access to quite a few places other than the zoo!!!!! that place sounds soo cool!!!!!!!!
sarah and max when to a christian elementary school......it was awesome....they had chapel once a week that was 45minutes long, but there was alot of religion.......they may just say 15 minutes of religion lesson.......but usually it is religion all day.......which is not a bad thing......this is one major reason i sent them....i am not an avid church goer.....but i do believe, and i want them to believe, too......danny did a lot of eyerolling, but ultimately it was an awesome experience and i really, really think it helped mold them into the good young adults they are today!!!!!!! (i'm sad i can't afford private school for the littles...)

Woohoo Colleen so cool! I wish someone would mail me tickets and a check!
Kelly-- that is so awesome having a getaway just the 2 of us. I so wish we were on better terms w my aunt so that might be a possibility! That museum sounds like so much fun!!
Julie  on the tack. I agree w Deb, maybe it fell down during the earthquake. Or maybe Colby took something apart. Glad she's ok, how scary!
Mel- great shopping! Nice and controlled!
I would not be opposed to a Catholic school for Karina when she is a bit older but I would just make sure it didn't push religion too much. I've heard in my area that Catholic school is cheaper than private school. Of course, I would be required to fundraise, but I don't see any issue selling chocolate bars.
My DH had the same reaction as Kelly about the quake-- it's only 5.9-- and he was like "why did you even call your dad? It wasn't that serious." LOL, it's all perspective...just unusual.
I agree the weather is just getting wilder and wilder-- there have been tornadoes in my area when years ago it was unheard of. The rain and winds have caused lots of damage and it's just plain scary. Something is just screwy w Mother Nature!
i forgot about the fundraising....our little school had a $300 family commitment.....so if you didn't want to sell....you could just write out the check by may 1st of the school year!!!!!!
woohoo. have a great time!!!!
Although it is not a requirement to fundraise, we get hit up for fundraisers for our public school......The FFA sells meat (which we love), Football/Volleyball sell shirts and hoodies, PTA does cherrydale and Krispy Kremes. And a few others thru the year.
