Ack, I love the pic of them hugging, and then the one where the bink is on the ground.

I did not get a glider, there wasn't even a single one there.

a glass of port
a chunk of dark chocolate
a good book & my quilt

anyways E is down for her nap and we are heading to target when she wakes up for "watercolor stuff mom" MEH I just want to shop ..

I got this for E's room (birthday)
http://www.amazon.com/Tot-Tutors-Organizer-Storage-Pastel/dp/B001TZLAZ4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1314290107&sr=8-2

I am getting her a baby doll too.(ok maybe even 2 babies)

Dh wants to get her something special like a charm ... I am thinking of a sapphire charm of some sort...I will be holding onto it till she is older but it will be special.

Nicole- Sorry about your car. Hopefully they figure out the real cause this time. How old is the car?

Mel- are you on the hunt elsewhere for the glider?

Candace- The girls are so cute all ready for their first day. Let us know how it went with them.

So the contractor came out to see if the roof has atleast three years of life left. He said it has 4. So next year we will get the same letter and since it has to have more than three years life we have to replace it in the next year. oy vay

Ugh, Nicole, that sucks!! I hope this is the last time it breaks down! I had an old Volvo that broke down constantly. Hated that car.

DH powerwashed our front porch last night. We knew it needed to be redone but were just going to clean it and paint it for now just to make it look better until we could afford to redo it since it's never used anyway. Well, we may have to fork over the money sooner than we thought, he couldn't even finish powerwashing it, it was blowing holes right through the wood.

We're in the same boat. Sad We need to get the front of the house tuckpointed and repair the porch and repair the plaster in the living room. $$$$$$ sigh.

Ruth, you sold a broken camera on ebay? And someone actually bought it and didn't give you negative feedback?

ROFL What kind of person do you think I am? lol I sold it 'as is' and explained that the shutter button was broken and missing. I couldn't believe how many people bid on it! Some 'electronicsRus' type person bought it.

Candace, I love all those pics!!! I'm sure Cadence and Ella are going to have so much fun!! I hope you feel up to a picnic, but don't push it. And i totally remember that tree down. I hope this hurricane isn't as bad as the reports are saying...

Storytime was a success and I happily dropped the book in the mailbox without getting out of the car and drove through the pharmacy to pick up Micah's albuterol. The nebulizer I ordered should get here tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I love doing errands that don't involve getting out of the car. Biggrin

It's beautiful out so far today, which is such a nice change from the 100+ we hit yesterday. I swear, the upstairs AC ran all.night.long.

So I have this neighbor who is really pushing me to join her son's preschool class... ran into her at storytime today and she mentioned it AGAIN. She said there was one more slot open and it's not too late. I said I'd let her know if I changed my mind but we really weren't planning on doing it. I really, really, really hope this is the end of it or I'm going to tell her to kiss Mel's dog's butt. lol

1st, the camera. No I didn't think you were selling it as functioning. Just was shocked, because it would never have entered my mind to put something broken on ebay. And if it had entered my mind, I'd be afraid of the repercussions from idiot people who don't read listings. Think, morons that bid on cloth dipes and don't know the difference between a liner and an insert. Wink

To the bolded. Here's the problem, of why she'll continue to bug you. You left her open to believe you will change your mind by saying "you'd let her know if you changed your mind, but aren't planning on it." Ruth, some people just don't get polite-ness. You and I would interpret what you said as "no, we are NOT EVEN thinking about putting Noelle in pre-school and we WILL NEVER BE thinking about it." When she brings this up again (and she will) you need to be point blank and say "we would NOT EVEN consider do anything but home-schooling."

Kat, hey the guy said at least 4 years. You never know, next year when you get the same letter, he may say the same thing. But, I'd start a special roof fund just in case.

Candace- love the pics!!

Nicole, sorry about your car. I hope it's not too expensive to fix.

Kat- were you going to look into new insurance as well? Glad you have 1 more year to figure things out.

Kelly- enjoy your "you" time. That sounds like a nice, relaxing evening planned.

Ruth- yay for errands running smoothly! Boo to your neighbor.

It is so gross and muggy here!!

Ruth, I can't believe she brought it up again! But I have to agree with Mel, just tell her no.

Kat, I'm glad you at least have anothe year on the roof.

Kelly, we have one of those toy organizer things...make sure you anchor it to the wall, it can tip over pretty easy with little ones pulling on it...but it's a great organizer!

Good point about my neighbor... Sad I hate having to be so direct, but I guess you're right. And I was also a little worried about the camera on ebay, but I put *all over* the ad that it was broken. Even a moron would have seen it. I wish they let you save your old auctions, because it was kinda funny.

Sorry, Peg. Sad That stinks. I'm also wondering what a cold toy is?

ROFL I just realized that every last one of us is wearing khaki shorts and a navy blue shirt. Total coincidence. I guess it's just a khaki and navy kind of day. I don't think I even realized we were that capable of matching...

Chart stalkers.... any ideas about this? She got a +OPK (pretty sure she's using a digital) but her temps aren't rising. She could use lots of prayers and 'get pg' thoughts. They've been trying a loooong time and have done 3 IUIs (one cycle with injectibles, two with clomid) and are giving a few natural cycles a try before doing a few more IUIs...

We were considering looking for new insurance, but were afaid they would tell us the roof needed to be replaced too. I think we are still going to look too.

Peg- Sorry both kiddos are sick again. Daycare is lovely huh.

I would just start putting money aside for the roof and make sure you pull the trigger in the "off season" it's cheaper. If you do not plan to be in the house forever I would also consider a lower grade material .. will be cheaper.

I am not one to say get a equity loan for things but in this case I would do it if need be.. it's going back into the house at least.

Can't see Candace's pics but will look later.

Lol on the khaki and blue, ruth. I dress miles and I alike fairly often. By accident I mean.

Yeah, pretty much all the hurricane projections put it going right over me. Awesome. I guess tomorrow I better make sure all the outside toys are put away.

I have to go to the grocery store too. Just for normal stuff but I'm scared, lol.

Oh, and the roof - I've had several people stop by offering to paint my house (needs it but can't afford it) and they have ALL said it would be cheaper if I did it now vs during prime season. That said you have more of a prime season in Florida, so maybe theres not as much of a difference. Good luck though!

Ruth, it's been too long since I've been in chart reading mode. And I never used OPKs, doesn't a positive mean you are going to O within the next 12-24 hours? That is a small dip on day 21. I don't even like her July chart for comparison, what is her normal luteal phase length? I need more charts from her in order to even consider an educated guess here.

What's up girlies.....stormy out here. Did junk this morning. Made more rice krispie treats with double the marshmallow and the addition of the cake mix...before it cooled already was good!

Peg sorry both kids are sick AGAIN! Sad

Kat I really hope you can find a good deal on insurance!!

Candace loved those pics! I hope they had so much fun today!!!!!

Ruth my guess is CD12 would be O day just based on temps...but that +OPK tells a totally different story. Hmmm very confusing indeed. I wish them the best!!!!!!

Tracy people are going bonzo here at the store...like Irene is headed straight for my town in VA lol!

Nicole BOO on the car!!!!!!!! Ugh, man alive I'm sorry, how freakin frustrating!!!!!

Colleen I read that post about pregnancy, etc, and it IS totally a tear jerker! I'm going to have to go back and copy and paste it!

Okay well that was short lived, 3 year old is off his rocker today.

Ugh, seriously. Just had a meeting with my boss, who decided today was a good day to dump a new testing format, complete with new technology on my desk. Which should be implemented in the lab in less than two weeks when the students start. Uggg! I don't know which god I pissed off, but I've had it!

I guess I need to make a trek to the grocery store. I don't even know what to buy besides the stuff I need. I guess i have to plan on not opening the fridge or freezer, right? Canned goods? So we can eat room temp spaghetti-o's? Blech!

I've just given up at this point. I will ruminate on all these changes and go forth once my brain isn't hurting!

Emily, I'd buy wine...chocolate...munchies...a cooler of cheese and fruit would be good. Peanut butter, bread, crystal light for when the water tastes disgusting. Water. Drink boxes for Miles. Flashlight batteries and a new book or two for you and Miles. Canned or instant milk if Miles will want it. Something with caffeine (coke, pepsi) if you're a caffeine drinker. Pretend you're going camping with a fire ban and be creative. Hope she misses you though!

do you have a grill? we lost power for a few days after being hit by Charley and the grill was our lifesaver! Just pack a cooler with stuff you would grill so you don't have to open your whole fridge and freezer.

Unless the storm tracks further west than what is predicted right now, I don't think we are going to lose power. But, just in case, we've got some propane for the grill and we can heat/cook anything we need to grom there.

Mel noooooooooooo the storm isn't headed straight for us, probably just get a lot of rain and maybe high winds. But I guess the last few hurricanes that went up the coast knocked power out for a good while in this area, so people are paranoid. I think Peg, Emily, Colleen, Kat...and I can't remember who else lives up thatta way are gonna get shnukered!

Candace I TOTALLY remember the fallen tree! I SO hope nothing of that sort happens even remotely close this year!!!!

Emily I would make sure the grill is working or you have charcoal...and if you have a coleman stove, the propane. And the pretend you might be camping is a good idea!!!

Mel what are the gears for? And the wood??? A friend who is playing is on level 31! Yoinks!

Nicole what a crappy day! Are you into wine? If you are, I'd say tonight is a GOOD NIGHT for a bottle!!!!!!!

Wendy sorry for the sick kiddo!

Julie, yes, and yes, I've already told DH that I'm either going out tonight or tomorrow night. I want a date night. And, I have a bucket of daquiri's in my freezer that I normally don't hit except on a hot afternoon, but I think tonight I'm having that, if I'm not having wine that is Wink Julie, I'm answer for Mel, but the gears and wood etc are to upgrade your wonders...you earn wonders when you've gotten to a certain level...first is Big Ben...then a Panda Refuge, etc. The you have to ask people for the stuff to make the wonders bigger and better or pay for them.

I'm so glad we rarely have hurricanes here! We were under tornado warning yesterday and that was enough for me!

Funny story about question marks, remind me if I forget.

G of T, at the bottom of the screen, there is a button with a saw and wood, the build button. click on it, and then click the wonders button (pyramid) all of the wonders unlock at certain levels, but you have to 'build' them and you need blueprints, glass, wood, sandstone, gears and marble. You have to get these items from your friends.

Ooooooo gotcha on the wood and gears...and I guess the glass or whatever else that other thing was I have no idea lol! I'm getting into the game, although I think it's going to make my laptop blow up. I have to get it looked at, windows has this stupid a$$ explorer thing running in the background eating up space, and from what I can tell, it's only needed to run the desktop...anyway, running the game seriously has the fan going on overdrive and the CPU usage at like 90%!

And enjoy SOME sort of drink tonight!

Oh yea DEB I read your storm prep too...I REALLY hope you don't have to use any of that..hotel, ice..nothing!!!

Did you ever have a day where you still feel like you just woke up and are in a really big fog and moving thru quicksand???

Ok, you want the short version? You are loaded up with spyware. Seriously, no joke. My advice? save everything important to an external drive, and reformat your hard drive and and start over. Don't believe me? Well, you need to.

I think I will take the occasional small earthquake over this yearly hurricane business.
yikes.. stay safe girls!
do ya'll have basements or something? we do not have them here where do you go?
I am sure all you that felt the quake had either no idea what to do or didn't react in time huh.

Earthquake:
Doorway, under a table or heavy large object
bathtub(IMO the safest spot)
if outside you need to get to the middle of the street away from trees and buildings.

we had 3 minor ones since Owen was born.. 2 of them I made it to the bathtub... the other I just had to jump on top of them both.. and "tackle" him to hold him....

As in take every program OFF and reinstall? Can't I just find some spyware something or other?? I have Norton, but I really hate it, annoys the crap out of me. And I think if I try to get anything else to run a scan, Norton just shuts it down.....
