Sorry Colleen, I was shopping for NOT MJ. ROFL fruit/veggie pouches.

Kelly, the plums organic that you get from BRU, is it 'baby' food that you are buying? And just using it for snacks for O?

Hi!!

Colleen- sounds like a great day. And I wasn't worried about you. If it had gone on for more than 24 hours, well then... those pics are great, your family looks so happy and energetic. I still just don't know how you do it!! A fruit and veggie truck sounds cool! If it were in my neighborhood it would be so stupidly expensive, I bet.

Emily- I am right there with you on all the questions! Man oh man, Karina doesn't stop, drives me batty!

DH went to Miami on business but it's just until Tues night. Karina doesn't miss him yet, we'll see what tomorrow brings. I did some light cleaning and organizing around the house. I think I am going to use my pack n play bassinet for the first few months-- I have to get some of my baby stuff back from my friend.

Julie- I can't imagine having a pedi's office not open on weekends! I can't count how many times I went in on Sundays for Karina! I'm sorry it's so limited where you are, I would hate to go to the ER. Are your pedis at least on call, where they will call you back anytime day or night, any day of the week? That comes in very handy as well.

I would need one of those thumb clicker counters to keep track of the many questions. Jax's favorite is to ask 'what's called that?' Even when he knows. I now automatically respond with 'I have no idea'. He then tells me exactly what it is. LOL

Yay Colleen! You know I thought about you spending a day at MIL's, but then thought well, you'd at least pop in and say good morning, see ya later lol!!! There's folks who don't post every day, but if you post every day and you don't hear peep even on FB, I mean, I don't automatically think it's that you have a life, unlike me lol!!! That place yesterday sounds awesome! Love those pics! I also want to be part of your family, I don't eat much, just very bad foods when I do, so I promise not to be a drain on the budget lol!!!!

Nicole you have to let us know how the babysitter works out! There was a whole article in Redbook about SAHD's, made me think of your DH!

Yeah questions.....I do get to the point where I just say, ENOUGH!!! Or when I know he knows the answer, just what do you think, or what did I just tell you when you asked that before??? And he damn answers correctly lol!

Kelly tell us the dinner menu!

Mel, I did give Colby some of those pouches as snacks!

Heh heh got DH to wake up with the kids. For the last week, D has been yelling between 4-5am, but she'll go back to sleep. Usually I won't, because what's the point, the other one is going to start making noise soon. So even thru ear plugs I hear her at 4:15 yelling on the monitor. Tell Dh to just let her go. Then at 5:30 I hear Colby yelling DONE POOOOOPINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!! Dh gets up so I read a little and try and go back to sleep, come downstairs at 7:30. He's like a zombie and snippy. Dude, now you see why when you wake up from 9 hours sleep and I've been awake already for 4 or 5 hours that was my 6 hours of sleep I'm a little snippy? A person who likes to sleep a lot has to grow into less sleep, but it can be done lol!

i hear ya julie......i live on very little sleep, and sometimes my mood come lunch time is already entering the frazzled zone.......it's my own fault.....i have no reason to stay up till midnight everynight.....sarah and max, now that they are back in school....the LATEST i will accept the lights on is 10pm....tv downstairs goes off at 9pm......but if they want to layawake and read.....i'm ok with that......and lucy goes to bed at 8pm...so i could clean the house from 8-9....and go to bed at 9:30 like dan.....but no.....i stay up bopping back and forth from the computer to folding laundry to cleaning the kitchen.....all in small doses!!!!!LOL!!!!!

you know, i've noticed that dan's appetite is like next to nothing......he doesn't eat breakfast anymore, unless i cook something on the weekends......but then at lunch he hardly is ever hungry, he will eat with us, but not have very much, and supper is more of the same...very little and that's it....he doesn't take a lunch to work anymore.......for like the last month.......he takes his gallon jug of water.....and that's it.....he leaves the house at 5am and doesn't get home till 4pm......he's on a military airforce base for his jobsite so there isn't a lot of coming and going...with heightened security, they are searching vehicles as they leave and come onto base....so i don't think he's hitting up the local pizza joint for lunch.......he says he feels fine colitis wise, but he says he never feels hungry anymore....but not because he isn't feeling good.........oy......do you think it's normal for a 47 yr old man to just lose his appetite?? again, doesn'tmiss work, and works like a dog around the house....always doing something, and in a good mood!! do you think i'm just overanalyzing????

Colleen - people do eat less than they get older (look at Julie's in-laws, lol) but I would guess it's more a gradual thing than a sudden "I'm not hungry." I'd make sure he takes a vitamin if he's not eating much!

Jules - way to go on the "sleep in!"

Mel - Frankly on some days I don't think my thumb could click that high.

Kelly - I kept thinking of that quote - I saw it on Pinterest, too. And then I thought, we've gotta be well over 500, lol!!

Oh, and super cool on the fruit and veggie truck, Colleen!! That'd be great. I hate having to go to the store just for fresh stuff because I always end up spending more than I mean to!

Miles is off at school. I stopped at Starbucks on the way home from dropping him off so am sipping a pumpkin spice latte. I can't believe how tasty they are - it surprises me every year!! I also can't believe how much they cost!! Ridiculous!! (Yet, obviously I still do it).

Just dropped Tyler off at school and got Lana down for a nap...now I need to get some work done, but wanted to stop and say hi.

mmm, pumpkin spice latte. I haven't had one yet this season. It's a cloudy cool morning though...I think one would definitely hit the spot. Maybe I'll stop on my way to pick him back up.

Julie - yay for the sleep in! I think it's a requirement that DH has to get up every once in a while. Just as a reminder Wink My DH tried to get out of it a couple weekends ago saying that "he's not used to getting up so early, so therefore it's much harder on him." I came back with, you only have to do it once a week, so THEREFORE you should do it. Happily.

Lana was up 4x between 1:30 and 7:00 this morning. 4x. I'm tiiiired. My office at home is on the other side of our bedroom...and my bed is just calling me today. LOL. Too much to do though - better get to it.

wow.......that is crazy!!!!!!!!!!

deb.....our schools don't start breaking the kids up according to academic ability until 7th grade.....i think it's awful.....so max could have been in say a math class with the brightest kid in his grade....now the teacher "knows" the kids are all advancing at different levels, so she does assign different work(max had to do b sides all year, where some more advanced than him have to do a side).....so last year was just awful for max...mentally.....it was such a struggle....so i can almost hear him breathing a sigh of relief already....he also has a sped teacher in all his classes 95% of the time.....

Mel, how is Abs this morning? Poor babe Sad Hope she is feeling well.

Tracy, good luck on your solo flight with the kids!

Hi Kristi! Good luck at the fair. I know it is going to be a crazy busy week for ya.

Colleen, mmmmm....now I want a snickers ice cream bar for breakfast!

Candace, hope you were able to find something yummy to eat and then fell asleep and got some good rest.

Emily, have fun at the apple festival.

Gweny got her ears pierced yesterday! I am so proud of her. There was only 1 chic working so she had to do them one at a time. She was sitting on her daddy's lap and I think that was our saving grace. She is such a daddy's girl. I hope she does okay with him being gone for a month. I am not so much worried about this time but when he leaves in Dec it is going to be brutal.....

I need to see pics of Gweny and her new earrings!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy busy weekend for us. We went to a first birthday party Saturday. They had a bounce house/ball pit that the kids wore themselves out on. They also have their very own petting zoo...she calls it The Funny Farm. Ethan couldn't get enough of the animals.

Then Ethan's bday party was yesterday. He had sooooo much fun...even skipped his nap with no melt downs.

Morning ladies!

Colleen, I think I'd be keeping a log of what Dan was eating...and I think a multivitamin is a good idea. Has he changed what he's eating? Is he eating something more filling or just not eating? Are they feeding him on base? Or are the other guys brining something that he's filling up on? I think its a bit odd that he's not eating...

Pumpkin spice latte...yummy! I may have to search out a coffee shop for that!

Do you ladies know that its week 38? And that that is the worst week for cold and flu of the whole season? Yep. Guess what I woke up with this morning? Lingering headache and the sniffles. Oh the joys of being immunosuppressed!

Kelly, I want to know what DH is having for dinner...

I need to schedule a trip to the apple orchard now...maybe next weekend.

Nicole so that's why I have a sore throat and the sniffles today! Huh! I'm sorry you've got something brewing, I hope nothing gets any worse.

Colleen it is a little odd he's not eating, but I'm thinking that it would show somehow if it was doing damage....like he'd be sleeping more, cranky, etc. I do think a vitamin would be good and keeping track of what he does eat. Does he ever cover up colitis stuff so you won't worry, would he be feeling bad and just trying to hide it?

Karrie it sounds like you had a great weekend! Hellooooo we need to see some pics of Ethan's party!!!!!!

Aw sorry for the rough night Tracy!!! LOL at your Dh saying he's not used to waking up so early so it's harder on him! ROFL Bahahahaha!!! Well, get up and have yourself a big old glass of SUCK IT UP!! I know my DH thinks the same thing, but hasn't said anything haha!

I'm so hungry but nothing is appealing....actually I'd love a big greasy cheeseburger. Don't have any of that in the house.

Julie, you should see my fridge right now. DH browned 10 lbs of hamburger for sheppard's pies...then I ran out of potatoes. There are a LOT of containers of ground beef in my fridge! Personally I think a greasy hamburger sounds better than sheppard's pie...but my kids don't agree, nor do they freeze as well. Speaking of which, I need to eat some of the stuff in my freezer before I make anymore. Its overflowing. Partly just all the tomatoes we froze...partly too many make-ahead meals. I see some easy cooking nights in my near future!

Kerrie, pictures please! Love the petting farm...I should find one around here for my LOs.

Tracy, sorry for the rough night with Lana...is she working a tooth? My DH pulls the same crap with mornings...but surpisingly is pretty good about letting me nap in the afternoon.

Tracey it so bothers me when Dh says I AM SO TIRED blah blah blah.. yeah whatever you don't know tired my friend LOL sorry it was a rough night.. I have had my share in the past few weeks.
Julie why not a bonzai run to McD's ? Smile or maybe you have the making for grilled cheese in the house.. that is close!

Mel- we use the pouches for snacks when out.. he LOVES them.. so does she for that matter. We use it only for snacks.. she won't eat baby food from a jar.. sometimes it's the only way I can get a veggie into him. His favorite is pumpkin banana.. I told him I am going to make pumpkin banana pancakes this weekend and he is excitied.

And want these leggings?

It's Penguin Chalet. We had this last year. LOVED IT!!!! We also had the red fleece pants and the Fleece hooded pullover that was exactly like the leggings. It was so COZY. Don't ebay it. You will pay inflated prices. What size in the leggings are you looking for?

Julie, just throw the tomatoes in the freezer. When defrosted, the skins slip off! Much easier than blanching!

Mel, cute clothes. You would be appalled at what Alicia is wearing these days...she's into dressing herself Wink Yesterday it was a white sequined dress (hand me down...I think from a wedding/baptism) with orange tights, pink shoes and a pink princess hat. Lovely.

Kelly- delicious meal!! Yummm.

I don't think $7 is inflated at all for leggings, they must not be high demand. I think what Mel means is they tend to be inflated but there's always an exception. The sale leggings at Gymboree are about $10 so you got a good deal, I think.

Colleen- sorry about Freddie. I had to explain death to Karina when Critter died and when my aunt's husband's mother died. Not that I think she really understands it.

So what do you guys do with all those tomatoes? And where did they come from? Do you have gardens?

Emily when you mentioned the pumpkin spiced latte and how expensive it is, this past weekend we went to the mall. We stopped at Teavana to get some free samples, and then DH asked for a cup of tea. Can you believe we paid $5 for one stupid cup of tea? It was his fault though, he didn't ask the price.

Nope, he's sick. This morning I put him in the car first and then went back in for Abigail. I was putting her in the car, and he said "My momma, I throw up." But, he hadn't and honestly, sometimes he just says that. Well, evidently he meant he needed to throw up. He told me again as I was putting him in the car to come home, and sure enough, he totally threw up. He didn't eat dinner last night, he didn't want his milk or a cereal bar this morning, his teacher said he didn't eat his breakfast or much lunch.
He's sipping water and munching crackers. I know I'm going to regret this, but we'll see.

Poor Jax.. whats the dealio? Is he running a fever? Puke is the worst.. I'll take poop over puke anyday!

Sad Freddie may you rest in peace... maybe a trip to the pet store is in need.. Freddie's cousin Herbert is coming to stay ? LOL

I will never understand why peeps pay so much for "gourmet" coffees.. I make them at home.. just buy the syrups a decent espresso machine! My favorite is white chocolate peppermint!
did you know that Starbucks " hot caramel apple cider" its AMAZING good on a cold day is just plain old TREETOP applejuice hot with a squirt of caramel and cinnamon syrup.... it costs like 20 cents to make as opposed to 3 bucks a cup there... LAME I went it bought it all last year and made some daily .. DELISH!

at 5 bucks a day on coffee drinks lets say 300 days a year (missing a few days each month).. this is conservative for some people. You can save $1500 bucks A year!
What a waste!
Don't get me wrong I do enjoy a coffee drink occasionally but those who go DAILY are crazy!

Yep Kelly. My 'coffee' machine does it all. And you don't need a separate espresso machine that needs to be hauled out when you want more than just a cup of coffee.

Mel were you at least close to home when the car puke happened? Gross, I'm so sorry!!

Starbucks used to not sell their pumpkin syrup years ago, but I made friends with one of the 'baristas' (in quotes because you make friggin coffee drinks, sorry) and he gave me a bottle. Just that in regular coffee was divine! They sell the pumpkin syrup now I think, I'm sure you can get similar stuff elsewhere though.

Cute outfit Kelly! Target has a lot of cute things for girls I think.

SOOOO much to catch up on!! And i have lots to say, too. Smile But alas, no time right now.

Just wanted to update about my appt this morning. I saw the NP at my OBGYN's ofc and she didn't feel anything she's alarmed about, but is sending me for an u/s just to be safe. totally what i expected. she tried to get me in there right away since i was already there with my 3 monkeys, but after waiting an hour, they apparently had some kind of procedure to do in the room where i was supposed to go which was backing everything up and we all thought it best to reschedule. so i'm going tomorrow afternoon. i'm going to beg my DH to come home early so i don't have to bring everyone with me - it'll be naptime which will make it so much worse... so keep your fingers crossed that he'll agree and be able to do it.

the past few nights have been just awful. we had everyone in bed by 7:30pm but not everyone fell asleep until 10pm. three nights in a row. and we have been so exhausted we've just gone to sleep immediately. and then up several times with the boys over night... sleep is in very short supply in this house right now. i really thought brian had an ear infection saturday night, but he's doing much better now.

really quick, Colleen -- Danny needs to mention the appetite loss to his doctor. Has he also lost any weight?? Al has been exercising a ton and trying to get healthier for the past few months and he lost maybe 5 or more pounds, which his doctor totally asked about when he went for his check-up. Apparently weight loss isn't necessarily a good thing, i don't know if it's the Lialda or the colitis or what - but she was satisfied that his loss was intentional... just thought i'd toss that out there.

ok, hope to be back later tonight. oy.

I'd say we were 80% of the way home. I was just moving into the left lane to make a left, glanced in the mirror just as he said, 'I throw up'. I saw the look on his face and I knew it was no joke. I said, hang on baby, and I made the turn and pulled over, but by the time I got out and opened the back door, he was puking. Sad Thankfully, if Jax doesn't feel good, he doesn't eat much, so there wasn't much. Seriously, school is less than 10 miles from our house. It takes exactly 8 minutes. Carseat cover is drying right now. Abigal napped from 9-11, and she went back down for a nap at 1:00 without issue. I really hope she isn't gonna start puking too. She isn't even healthy from last week yet.

Trying to locate a pair of Thelma's in 18m. If anyone sees any for less than 30, let me know.
